Brog was not an opponent Connor could easily face, especially with the enmity that is now between them. Craig held back a little and gave Connor enough time to land a tiny hit, but Brog wouldn't be as nice.
"Using Magic against him is the only way I can win, but he won't be as open minded as Craig…" Connor started thinking, muttering to himself out loud in his little makeshift camp. "The only option I have is to kill him after I take him down.. So I can't bet with Craig.. Can't let others see us head to the Arena.. Can't just count on Chill Touch since he would behead me the moment he gets the chance"
Connor's train of thought was easy to follow. He was assuming that Brog is at least twice as strong as Craig.. Well, he didn't have to assume anything since Craig said so himself. "I need a few Spells, not just Chill Touch and Lesser Eldritch Blast.. I need one more or even two more.. Ones I can use to set up traps or something like that.. I need to make sure it won't be a fair fight!"
Going through the 1 Star Spells Connor added Mage Hand and Lesser Flame Control. He had a plan, but until he manages to buy all the Spells he needs, he will have to save it for now.
[Lesser Flame Control: You choose a non magical small flame that you can see within a 10 Meters range.
You affect it in one of the following ways:
You instantaneously expand the flame 5 feet in one direction.
You instantaneously extinguish the flames you chose.
You double or halve the area of bright light and dim light cast by the flame, change its color, or both. The change lasts for 1 hour.
You cause simple shapes such as the vague form of a creature, an inanimate object, or a location to appear within the flames and animate as you like] –1 500 SE–
[Mage Hand: A spectral, floating hand appears at a point you choose within range. The hand lasts for the duration of 5 minutes and you can use the hand to manipulate an object, open an unlocked door or container, stow or retrieve an item from an open container, or pour the contents out of a vial. You can move the hand up to 30 feet each time you use it.. 3 Star Dexterity required] –2 000 SE–
"With the Lesser Eldritch Blast added, the amount I require is 6 500 SE and it's not a small number… thankfully this is not the only place I can hunt in" Connor muttered, remembering a much better spot. He looked at the dark sky and went into his tent, hiding his Crystal and going to sleep.

It was another day on earth. Lisa and the rest were doing random chores or trying to map out another exit, but they had no luck with that.
Connor woke up, took a deep breath, taking in the fresh air instead of the moldy one he used to breathe.. yes, moldy.
"Alright, first things first, let's do a little test" He suddenly spoke. "Grim!"
The Floating transparent Grimoire appeared in front of him, putting a smile on his face. "So it sticks with me wherever I go? This will make things ten times easier" Connor was happy with his discovery as he thought. "Alright, with that done with, let's get ready"
"Hey, where are you going?" Lisa asked, seeing Connor with his Axe as he made his way out of the Bungalow. "We don't really need anything else so you shouldn't take a risk"
"That big guy in the Hotel, he evolved after being left alone. If we leave the Walkers in the beach area where we came from alone too we might be attacked by something more terrifying.." Connor lied through his teeth. "Like they say, a thousand known enemies are better than an unknown one!"
"That makes a lot of sense lad" Earl spoke from the entrance of his house.. Or a bungalow to be more accurate. "Should I come with you?"
"No need, I'll move faster alone" Connor replied.
"Ouch"
"No offense"
Connor started walking towards the gate, nearing the pile of covered corpses as he covered his nose. There were flies and maggots everywhere now, showing the horror of death. With a small jump he was already over the fence, credit to his improved body. He walked alongside the walls and started scanning the areas, looking for any signs of Walkers.. And signs he found.
The hunt was too easy as Connor stood there covered in blood. He now became the new Apex Predator of the area. He killed the poor Walkers one after the other with a mere one arm swing before their heads were either cut in half or chopped off.
Slowly the Hotel beach zone became a safe zone as no Walker still stood. Bungalow doors were broken and bodies covering the ground everywhere, Connor didn't hesitate nor show any mercy to the ex-humans.
On the sandy beach he stood in front of the sunset, his eyes looking at the Cruise Ship that still floated on the surface of the water, waiting for help that might not come anytime soon.
"Idiots!" He muttered, walking away.

The Cruise Ship was eerily quiet, no sounds were coming out of the people's mouths as they sat on the floor, their backs leaning on the railings.
"What should we do now?" A man with a thick beard, round face and brown eyes spoke. He wore a tattered blue shirt covered with blood and a pair of black pants with the legs torn off. He looked at the door not too far away as he could still hear light banging coming from within.
"What do you think we can do? That bastard stole a boat while the other was taken by that cowardly captain, we can't leave this ship!" A woman spoke with anger as she grit her teeth. She had short black hair and average looks. She wore a gym outfit, exsentuating her alluring figure, but none dared nor cared to look at the moment.
If Connor was here he would have recognized both of them from the small group of people that did not go after the Captain that day.. The ones he deemed as smart enough.
The rest were shivering as they sat scattered here and there were random lucky ones that were outside when people started to turn inside the ship.
The source that started this whole disaster was unknown but the only people that survived the outbreak were the man and woman that were talking to each other while the others were silent.
"That bastard spoke all kinds of rubbish and in the end he bailed on the ship.. I swear if I get my hands on him I'll tear his balls off and feed them to him" The woman cussed under her breath as she remembered the arrogant Captain and his empty promises.
"What could he have done? All his people died inside the ship and it was only him and that egoistic sidekick of his.. To be honest with you I was thinking of stealing the boat myself.. Unfortunately, he beat me to it" The bearded man spoke. "Where do you think the other guy went? The one that stole the first boat?"
"Where could he go other than the same direction that damned Captain went to? That Hotel seems to be the only available option at the moment, if only it was closer I would have swam there.. FUCK!"
Bang Bang!
Her shout appeared to grab the attention of the Walkers behind the door as they started to bash into it with all they've got. The Door shook and made creaking sounds but it did not budge any further.. perks of being a metal door. People started to whimper nonethelessas as they looked at her with hateful eyes.
"What're you looking at?" She said, grabbing the Machete that sat next to her. The threat worked as everyone averted their gaze, busying themselves with something else, but that did not stop some from muttering something.. Most likely cursing her ancestors.
"Take it easy, we're all in this together!" The bearded man said.
"In this together? Didn't you just say you were planning on stealing the boat yourself you hypocrite?" Her sentence made the man clear his throat and look away. "If only we can get to the Control Room, we'll have a chance!"
