The two brothers danced around to various songs.
" Brother, do you think Butterfly feels the same way as you do. Well I never believed in love at first sight but with what is happening to you I assume I have to change my views on that." Still glued to Neil, Troy asked his second brother.
" I think Butterfly also feels the same way. Though I don't understand much but observing her behaviour and comparing it with when I first met Lydia, I can say that she is in love with you if not liking you." Neil gave his opinion as he tightened his grip on Troy's shoulder.
" Aahh bro, do you want to break my bones. That is not how a lady should behave. Reduce your strength a bit." He shifted and fixed his posture. " Hey bro, press the next button for another song."
" Am not a lady remember. How do you want me behave like one when I don't even have a squicky voice and curves. Let me be the man and you will be my lady." Neil suggested taking the stance of a gentleman as Jade acted as their DJ.
The day went by quickly as the brothers fooled around before everyone went to sleep.
##. Next morning. ##
The following morning was hectic as the whole family escorted Jade to the hospital. He was admitted into a VIP ward as he waited for his surgery time. He kept pinching his fingers which Neil interpreted as a sign of nervousness. Each time he was nervous or feeling uneasy, he would do the same too. Jade's other hand held a tiny plush toy which he had come to keep next to himself this past weeks.
Actually he got that as an friendship token from Phoenix after their first dinner together.
Time was slowly approaching the scheduled hour and Phoenix had not yet arrived. Jade became restless. His brothers kept on assuring him that she will be here soon.
Soon it was finally the surgery hour and Phoenix was nowhere to be seen. The doctor pushed open the ward door as he entered with a female nurse. He greeted everyone and turned to look at the Paulson parents.
He informed them of the procedure and answered some of their raised questions.
" So do you mean to say the surgery is not painful at all?" Connie asked as she rubbed her arm.
" The procedure is painless and it shouldn't take long, approximately an hour or so." The doctor answered back.
" So what's the success rate, I mean.. you know?"
" That will depend on the damage but such cases are mostly successful except in cases where there is transplant rejection. In overall it is relatively safe but risky too as there will be pressure on the eyeballs and there could be an eye infection to which I will prescribe some eye drops."
" The patient will have to lie on his back after the surgery for a few days and avoid scratching or rubbing around the eye area. He should make sure to put on an eye shield for eye protection...." The doctor instructed them before instructing for the nurse to wheel over the wheel chair.
He placed it next to the bed as Neil helped Jade to sit on it before wheeling it towards the operation theatre.
Jade was downcast as he has been waiting for Phoenix to arrive. She had promised him that she will be here on time but she hasn't arrived yet.
Entering into the OP, the smell of disinfectant was too strong that Jade felt nauseous. He waited for the assistants to help him onto the bed. The door closed from the inside and the red light above it turned on. The surgery had started.
This was not the first time Jade had undergone such a surgery but each time, there would be a transplant rejection. This had happened thrice and after seeing this, he decided to take a break and wait to see if his cornea could heal itself.

Phoenix was delayed as she had to deal with a troublesome customer. The female customer was a newbie actress and she had come for a facial treatment.
The massage session went well until the actress started feeling itchiness on her face. She told the massause to stop as she took a look of herself on the mirror. She was horrified when she removed the face mask, only to see red rashes.
She made a scene as she wanted the owner to be summoned. When Phoenix came out of her office as she prepared to leave, that was the scene that greeted her.
Phoenix interrogated the massause only to find out that the actress's assistant had made a mistake by saying she wasn't allergic to roses which the poor actress was actually allergic to. This lead to the young massause to use rose oil on the customers face which later on reacted.
The issue was settled after an hour with offering an apology and compensation. That was when Phoenix realised that she was late and hurried out of the building as she ran to the parking lot.
Immediately her car zoomed off at a high speed as she drove towards the city hospital.
