Chapter 24 - Petty.

"You are going to have to stop crying Charis, crying is not going to help you. Which bully have you ever seen taken down by the victim's tears?" Anne asked her friend as she sniffled, grabbing another tissue she blew hard and crumpled it just as hard in her palm. "I can't believe you are crying so much because of that bitch, i mean even I am embarrassed to call you my friend right now, did anyone see you cry?"

"Hey! Aren't you supposed to be consoling me right now? How can even you be so mean?" She cried.

"How can I console you when you are being so frustrating? Why would you cry? Why would you apologize, isn't the presentation yours, I mean if anyone is supposed to be here in agony it should be the thief, not you!" Her friend groaned.

"I am crying because I am so angry! You know I cry when I am angry!"

"Alright, alright, don't yell at me." Annie huffed, "you can't yell at the person that made you mad but you have all the energy in the world to yell at me" She mumbled, tapping on her shoulder as she rubbed circles trying to comfort her anger. "You must really hate this job, your supervisor is a bitch and your ex-boyfriend is your new boss who doesn't even remember you."

"Ex-boyfriend? When did I say he was my ex-boyfriend?!" She yelled again causing Annie to wince. "Better not be mistaken, he was just some random guy that wanted nothing but to get in my panties and I am happy I tossed his card into the trash!"

Annie's lips parted during her rant, "was that why you kissed him? You said you were the one that kissed him."

"Ah, whatever, yes I was the one that kissed him but I was simply curious. He is a terribly good-looking guy so I kissed him but I didn't like it one bit." She huffed in response, "I'm done with this conversation!" She said, getting up from the bench which she sat on and walking out of the roof. Annie was right behind her trying to speak some sense into the raging woman before she made another mistake and said something she did not mean but it was too late. The person that should not have heard her speak was just a few steps away.

Hearing everything.

Sebastian could not work after he got to his office when he saw the fight or rather the scene from the strategic planning team. So he decided to get some air on the roof, it was not as if he intended on eavesdropping. He just felt it would have been totally embarrassing for her to have him suddenly step out while she was ranting and pouring her heart out. So he waited, and pour out her heart she did. 'What? She didn't like it?' What sort of lie was that? He was honestly beyond shocked.

Sebastian was a very confident, someone that was completely comfortable in his own skin and why wouldn't he be? He was healthy, fit, very intelligent, and incredibly handsome. There were a variety of things he was good at and keeping women happy had never been a struggle for him, he had all these qualities and he was still filthy rich. What more could a woman want? But just now, the woman who had been the main character of all his dreams just rejected him so crudely? No, how could she not have enjoyed that kiss? That was not at all how he remembered things, but it was a month ago was there something he was missing, perhaps?

No, even if he was sleeping there is no way he would kiss someone and they wouldn't like it. Man or woman, what was her deal? She acted like she had no bone in her body, cried for getting scolded, and then insulted him as well?

He was a vengeful person, he was also very proud. So what then? She insulted his pride he needed to teach her a lesson, it wasn't like she was anything special, really she wasn't anything special. 'Is that why you can't get her out your head?' a tiny voice scolded him and he shut his eyes in annoyance. That's right he couldn't get her out of his head, but he would make sure by the time he was done with her she wouldn't be able to get him out of her head. But he would not be giving her the pleasure of finding pleasure with him anymore. He would make her remember him every time she closed her eyes and each time she opened them, he would fill her senses so much with that dislike she seemed to have for him. Was he being petty? Yes, yes he was going to be very very petty.
