RONA'S POINT OF VIEW
A few minutes passed, I stopped when I noticed a man looking in my direction. He looked suspicious so I approached him. I was forced to chase him when he sped off into a dark alley. I teleported to his front and swiftly made a light sword which I aimed at his neck.
"Who the hell are you?" I asked, authority was evident in my tone.
Instead of trembling in fear, he even managed to laugh. "Relax, Princess." He removed his black hat and face mask. "Your parents sent me here."
I closed my eyes for several seconds to feel his presence. When I opened my sight, I had already confirmed what he is.
"Time mage, huh?" I seriously said, "It is the first time I have encountered someone like you. It looks like Father gave me a strange companion."
The smirk widened on his lips. "Is that a compliment? Thanks!"
"Please be patient with my partner, Princess. He is really arrogant and mischievous so that is why," the bird on his left shoulder apologized. It is in indigo color, symbol color of a time mage.
I let out a sigh. At the same time, my sword disappeared. I straightened up and shrugged.
"So, when are we going to start preparing? Her birthday is coming up. Shall we throw a party?" he asked. He even laughed so I shot him a bad look.
"How weird. What did Father and Mother eat so they could send you to assist me? I think you have a loose screw in your head." My bad stares had worsened when he grinned even more.
"Princess, I am Dylan Wilder, the only time mage left alive in our world."
My eyebrows met at what I heard. "And why is that? What happened to your clan?" As far as I could remember, they are still living peacefully in their faraway place. That was what the book said though. I had not been to the actual place yet.
In an instant, his smile faded. "Aside from me, only the king and queen should know. The princess is forbidden to know the reason."
"All right." I just sighed. It also seemed useless if I force him to give me an answer. Anyway, even though I am a royalty, I cannot get everything.
"What are we going to do now?"
I glared. "You are in too much hurry. I do not even know if my father has approved my plan or not."
"Already approved." He pulled out a white rolled paper from the inside of his black leather jacket and handed it to me. "And that, a letter for you from the king and queen."
I immediately removed the white string and unrolled the paper. From being blank, black letters gradually showed here. They applied magic again.
I felt a mixture of nervousness and fear when I read the letter.
"A warning," my companion commented as he also glanced at the contents of the paper. If before he was kidding and carefree, at this time, he was dead serious.
"There is really a possibility she will attack during the test."
"Then how? Will there be any changes to the plan?"
I shook my head. "It is up to fate."
