RHEIN'S POINT OF VIEW
Is he abnormal—wait, what did he say? Is he Sister's friend? I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I needed to calm down. I looked at him again. I bit my lower lip when I noticed that the side of his lips was bleeding.
What was Sister thinking? Why did she put this guy to sleep here?
"Ah... eh... I-I did not know. I-I am sorry, Sir," I apologized.
He got up again and smiled. "It is fine. I know that it is natural to react like that."
I averted my gaze. "I am sorry if I would be rude to ask this but I want to know. Why are you here in my room?"
"Rona left last night. She had a meeting with an important client of ours. She sent me here and told me to watch over you. Maybe, your head might hurt again."
"Thank you but sleeping in my room was not necessary, Sir."
"Your sister asked me to. I did not intend to invade your personal space. She was too worried about you."
Even though I was touched by my sister's concern, I was still pissed off. How was she able to entrust me to her male friend? Did she not think that this man might be pretending as a nice person but had a bad core.
My eyes narrowed into slits when I realized something. If he did sleep in my room, why did not I feel his presence? I stayed up all night so why was that? I looked at him from head to toe. He seemed normal and innocent. I did not think he might be a demon or any monster so how come I did not even feel him?
I shook my head to drive away those from my mind. Maybe, I just fell too deep into my thoughts so I was not able to notice him.
"You did not sleep, did you?"
I nodded slowly. "What happened to me yesterday was a bit shocking. Were you my sister's workmate who helped and brought us home?"
"Yeah, it was me."
"T-thanks, Sir."
"Dylan."
My forehead wrinkled in confusion at what he had mentioned. "Huh?"
"I am Dylan Wilder. Call me 'Dylan'," he smiled as he introduced himself. My eyes widened when he suddenly squeezed my right cheek, as if that was just normal to him. "Come on. I will prepare you breakfast. I am sure you are hungry. Your sister said you also did not eat last night."
I assessed his whole being again. Handsome? Yes. Kind? Yes. Long patience? Yes. Seemingly trustworthy? Yes. Caring? Yes. I smirked. This is probably my long-waited dream for Sister – for her to have a boyfriend!
Before he went out, I questioned him, "Brother Dylan, are you Sister Rona's boyfriend?"
Deafening silence followed. I just realized that he was about to lie down on the floor in laughter. I did not say anything funny. "W-what made—HAHA—y-you think like that?"
"Err. Is there something wrong with what I said? I just found it strange. To my recollection, you are only my sister's guy friend. And in addition to that, she had put me in your watch for my safety. She trusts you a lot so I thought you are lovers."
Right after I spoke, he stopped his laughter and stood up properly. "Silly. You got it wrong. She is like my sibling," he uttered.
"What a waste." I scratched my cheek and laughed. "But do you think Sister and you have a chance? Please, I want to know. You look like something—"
