Chapter 1 - Chapter : I Doesn't Understand, Until...

One school day in second year high school, Real Arizo found out mathematics as a difficult subject, since the solution is more than ten times longer from its short equation. Complicated operations already applied and a need to follow the rules of mathematics. Afternoon, during Mathematics lesson, his teacher, Mrs. Cortez called him to answer the equation on the board and what he did was just standing, head down and tears started to felll because he doesn't know the answer. Classmates were starting and laugh at him, imagine if you were him, what will you feel? After class, Mrs. Cortez talked to him. What is your problem? You didn't understand the lesson? do you? He answered, yes ma'am. What was the part you did not understand? Mrs Cortez said. Everything ma'am, he replied. Mrs Cortez stood up and repeat the lessons one by one, one on one until 5:30 PM. After the session, Real got home. While he was on his way, he talked to hisself, "What if I quit going to school? what if I tell mom and dad that I will stop and just help them full time in the farm? Immediately, a small spark of immagination came to his mind and whispered smoothly, how about you family? You were dreaming to help and raise them from poverty and gave them a good life, Don' t you? He stop thinking of quitting school and continue walking. Real arrived at their home and pay respect to his parents by holding their hands and putting it to his forehead, a Filipino tradition of paying respect to the parents. He walked six kilometers everyday, back and forth to reach his school and going back home with twelve books on his bag. The new bag will not last long, because of its massive load. Slippers will do the same, holes will appear immediately, because of the massive and rapid friction caused by distance walking for him to educate in school. The extra ordinary effort coming from a teacher , Mrs Cortez, who teaches from the heart continue every weekdays, every afternoon .If she had a vacant time she tutored Real for free for him to understand mathematics, which is not as a subject but as a real life scenario, she was abled to teach Real that math is everywhere. There were also times for Real when they are halfway going to their school that they will not keep going, because they were already tired walking. They allowed the day end without attending it. When the students would passed by, they would go with them together in order for their parents to do not think that they did not attend the class of the day.

They were also hard times for Real, specifically in group activities, that he was having a hard time to find a group mates, since no one would have the courage to chose him except for his classmate and his only best friend, Jerome Alva, the valedictorian during their time. Way back then, every student has their own attorney, their role is to defend their classmates if they were absent, late and any reason why they did not attend the class. Real had the best attorney in class, since Jerome considered Real as a brother, because their parents during highschool were classmates and Real's father was the valedictorian in their class and this was the reason why Real was always blamed by the teachers of being dull, not intelligent like his father. Real was always compared by some of the teachers, who were also teachers of his father way back then. But, Real's father always advised him, I am contented of what you can do, being an intelligent is a pressure, live with a normal life that you can enjoy you childhood days.

One day, Real was late attending the english class with their teacher, Mrs. Bonga. She is a teacher that you must not mess with. Strick and sensitive teacher, all your bones inside your body would crampled and shattered, heart would pump as fast as flash due to the nervous caused by the presence of the said teacher.

Real why are you late?! Mrs Bonga asked. Mam mmm mmaaaa mmm maaam, I'm so so sooo soo srrrry bebebebecccaauussse I'm a late. Then, is that my fault?! Mrs Bonga said. Real replied, nonononnnno ma'am, it is mine. Stay standing, attorney of Real, defend him.

Jerome Started to defend Real, my due respect to our brilliant teacher, it is a good and bright day, there is no reason for you ma'am to be stressed, your beauty will be affected. Mrs. Bonga, hiddenly smiled. The typhoon faced of Mrs. Bonga turned into shining sun, hahahahah a nice move to defend the client. Anyway ma'am, my client walks three kilometers a day just to arrive here in our school. The distance is a considerable reason of my client, being in his shoes is not an easy task in life. In addition, carrying twelve books in a bag will slow your walking capability because of the weight and this is the reason he will surely rest. We are all lucky that we have our private cars and motorcycle unlike Real who is striving hard to achieve his own goal. That's all I can say ma'am. "You are indeed lucky Mr. Real for having Jerome as your defender, you can sit down", Mrs. Bonga said. Thank you ma'am, Real replied. He silently whispered to Jerome and said thank you. Closing of the school year was fast approaching, and Real didn't even know if he can proceed to the third year. One afternoon, Mrs Cortez said, "let us start our refresher discussion Real, it will be a review and I am going to give you a test, to measure what you have learned through out our last discussions. Real replied, yeas ma'am. The discussion ended and followed by a short test. Real was nervous about the result and ask Mrs. Cortez, Maam? how was my test? do I have a chance to pass the upcoming exam? Without a doubt Mrs Cortez replied, Yes you have a chance if you are going to continue practicing our lesson. Real was so happy that time.

The exam dat arrived and Real able to passed the subject that he had a difficulty.

The school year ends and Real able to finished his second year.
