Real struggled during his college in a state university, his aunt was also having a trouble financially due to her loans. Financially struggled, he wasn't expecting that the engineering materials was so expensive for him. His allowance from his parent was only $2.98 a month, imagine a month, because his mother was on college that time. His father was working 24 hours in a farm to sustain their family's need and since his father doesn't know how to use smartphone or keypad phones, his mother was the one sending his allowance, monthly. Emotionally struggled because he doesn't know what to do, he doesn't have a resolve. One day, he decided to join the ROTC (Reserve Officer of the Training Corp of the Philippines) for the said Corp had free allowance, meals, clothing and even dormitory. He experienced rigid training and swallowing owns pride. He was honed in terms of dicipline. There were times that he was always short financially, and a time he became a thief, he stole some coins from his friend's piggy bank because of his hard situation. He even join some friend who were alcoholic addict in order for him to ate. He always went inside the campus at the middle of the night to stole campus vegetable eveb it was a risky situation because of the guard would caught you, they would shoot you to death. During class time, he would enter the class during exam only, it was trice in every semester. He would enter the exam late and he would leave the exam venue earlier. One time, his instructor in mathatics asked him, are you my student? and Real replied, yes sir! and then leave. That time he was deviated from the right path. He didn't ask help from his aunt, because one time when he went to his aunt house, he recieved a cermon saying," What now? money again. I knew it, if you arrive you need money! Real, without a doubt went back to his campus without a single penny in his pocket. He was able to went homr and went back through hitching a ride. His parent was expecting that he was doing great in college, but it wasn't. He was once a scholar in his college but his scholorship wasn't released because of the scam. He decided to stop his study after a.semester and live inaide the army camp and served as a striker. Striker is what they call to an aspiring army applicant, serving the personnel of the army without paid in exchange of free food, a place to sleep while processing application. He served the retire and humble scout ranger Bilarmino who was very kind to him. Wherever the old man went while on service he was with him. Carrying a sling bag, documents and many stuff. In his early 16, he decided to went home to his parents and personnel was in sadness since they would loose there only baby boy on yhe camp. During the time, his money was not enough for the fair. What he did, was he boarded the van and asked the conductor, my money is not enough, can I ride? evwn in the very corner of the van, please? and the van's conductor was very kind and Real was able to ride the van. When he get off from the jeep, he found a 200 PHP or $ 3.98 in the van's floor and asked the passenger who was the owner of the said money, but no one owns the money so he kept it. When he arrive at the Bunawan, Agusan del Sur from Butuan City, Agusan del Norte. He must ride a boat for four hours for him to be able to arrive to his parents home. Before he will book for the boat's travel, he called his half brother, by borrowing strangers phone and said, " kuya, can you help me find a work here"? and his brother replied, yes, board a bus going to trento and wait for me at the terminal. He decided not to go home yet, but worked instead. His half brother in his mother was working in a bakery with a daily rate of $1.99, very low but needs to persever to survive. He then introduced by his brother to the owner of the bakery and immediately accepted, as a bread slicer. That was December, and as he looked at the loafed bread, it was like a sea of bread, lots of bread that need to be sliced in a short time. He overtime and thingking to quit. But he always put on his mind that he need to survive for his needs amd hia family. That time, he doesn't know that his father was admitted to the hospital because of over fatigue or over worked. His father did not allow the bad news to reach to his son so that it will not worry, his father admitted to the hospital alone and thank God he was admitted through the neighbors help. His father was the only one in their house since his mother and younger brother is in the other municipality, his mother is in college amd his younger brother with hia mother is in high school. They can't go home because they doesn't have money. Real didn't know the situation. There were many times, his father did not eat because of his illness, there were many times that his father got unconscious and all of those situation, Real didn't know. After how many months, Real finally wemt home with a small money and a bread and he was shocked when he saw his father's situation, he was skinny and not able to stand, there were no food on the table and even medicine. Immediately, he used his money to buy medicine, rice, milk and other necessary things. He took care his father who wasn't able to walk. His father cried, and said sorry son for the trouble and tears dropping. It's okay dad, I'm already here. The small savings of Real is slowly run out of money and decided to make a living in their farm.
