Internship year came, all the graduating students were very excited to know their respective school assignment. Real was assigned in a public school 10 km away from the campus. All the intern students were gathered at the principals office for orientations and they met with the principal.
Real was assigned at grade 1 level, the first step in taking grade levels. He went to the room were he was assigned and met the classroom adviser. He greeted, "good morning maam". Yes good morning too, are you the intern student that will be assigned here? Yes maam, my name is Real Arizo.
Maam, I am here to know the real life situation of a teacher, and I need your guidance maam. If you see that I am not doing right maam, please guide me and let me know so that I will be able to correct my mistake.
Sure, not a problem. I will look after you. Come here, I will introduce you to the pupils. As Real observed the pupils, the room has diversed pupils from different culture and different family orientation. Some of the child were naughty and bully.
He whispered on his self and said, Ohh Real, you will be having a hard day on managing this students, Can you do it? Real, got a partner in the room, his classmate. Since each room has two teacher-student intern.
When their adviser wasn't around te pupils were hyper, going everywhere, bullying each other, fighting and shouting that makes the room noisy. They can't manage the pupils except with the class adviser.
Real thought a way on how to manage pupils, he set class rules before he taught lessons, exert a little bit strict attitude and do some magic, care the children's need, let them watch cartoon during free time, address there problems and most of all Real considered each pupils ability and implement a specific instruction based on pupil's need.
In that ways, Real able to captured the heart of the pupils, he was loved by them and if someone was not able to attend the class, he immediately went to child's house even it was very far.
Real saw the Real struggles of his pupils, the distance that they traveled wasn't a joke, the roads were damaged and when it rained, flood occured.
Visiting students became habit of Real to know the situation of his students.
Real was loved by the parents for some of them after class he accompanied the students to their home. Everytime Real passed by, he was always invited for a moment to have snack.
Sometimes Real struggled financially and he went to the store to borrow some goods and pay if he got his allowance. Sometimes, he was invited by the teachers to paint their rooms. He accepted the offers because he earned money out of it.
One day, he went to his boarding house and said goodbye to his landlady and landlord for he was going to transferred to a new boarding house near to his school assignment. His landlady and landlord was so sad, that no one can stock water late at night, clean the entire boarding house, doing, and watching logs and even their to run for something to buy.
Real was emotional leaving the boarding house he loved, he packed his personal things and said goodbye.
Every weekdays, he was always early on his classroom as early as he was the first to arrived. When he came to his classroom, he always clean the dry leaves, the classroom, the toilet and even he always change the drinkable water for the pupils.
Everytime the other classroom advisers saw Real, they got jelous to the classroom adviser where Real was assigned. They always said," You are lucky that Real was assigned to your room, unlike our interned student that was so lazy, doesn't even know how to clean and arrange the room. Real was very early, first to arrive to clean your classroom, and always the one that last to leave the classroom".
Real always arrived before his resource teacher and leaved after his resource teacher. He always waited the classroom teacher to leaved before him and on those ways, The teacher was amazed on Real's atttude. Everytime her pupils saw Real coming, they immediately went inside the room and behave saying," Sir is coming!, take.your sit and behave!".
One time, the graduating students were busy on their requirements for graduation, as busy as Real wasn't able to visit his assigned school and wasn't able to guide and teach the students.
The students always ask to their adviser, "Ma'am, do tou know where Sir Real is? and the adviser answered, "Real was busy on his requirements for graduation that is why he wasn't able to visit us", Why? "Because, we missed Sir Real.
One day, Real finished his requirements and visited the school. When he still on the gate of the school, his students saw him and shout,"Sir is coming", and all the students ran to their teacher and hugged him. Imagine all the students jumled at you, what would happened? Real did not maintain his balance and fell on the ground. A couple of minute of hugging. Real told his students," go back to your room now" in a second they listen and went to their rooms.
All the teachers were so happy that the interned student were loved by the naughty pupils. When Real stood up, he saw his school uniformed very dirty and rip into pieces. He just laught.
When he arrived in his classroom, he greeted the adviser, "Good morning ma'am", How are you? Oh Real, it's you, I am fine, the students were very sad when you were busy on your requirement." Yes ma'am they were as my school uniform said", and they laugh.
The final femonstration arrived, and Real was already captured the heart of the pupils. During the demonstration, it went well, the pupiks listened and participated and because of that, Real got a high grade on his demonstration.
Days passed by, it is time to say goodbye to the school, the teachers, the parents and the students. His students were emotional because they already loved their student teacher and the duty of Real as a student teacher ended very well.
