Silvia tossed and turned as the night wained on. When sleep finally found her it was nightmares of being chased and bitten by wolves. Then she saw Everest being attacked and killed. She sat up with a scream in a cold sweat. It was in a second that her door flew open and the boy stood there with his chest heaving. "You okay?" He asked out of breath. His eyes held a golden glow in the dark. It was hard for her to respond but eventually she did. "Ya, bad dream..." He nodded and closed the door behind himself as he left. It would be sunrise soon so, she got up to get a drink. Everest was sitting at the table chewing on a piece of meat. "Did you get that from the fridge?" She asked as she slowly sat down. "It's a rabbit I caught last night." He smirked and then laughed as she looked disgusted, "It's some of that roast beef you got!" His laughter died down. "Do you do that though...catch things and eat them?" She asked with unease. "Sometimes...but I'm not as good as the older wolves." He said shoving the rest into his mouth and licking his fingers. "What will happen if we're found out?" She asked quietly. His eyebrows scrunched as he quickly swallowed the large bite. "We talked about this... I'll be killed...They'll also turn you anyways." He shrugged. Silvia cleared her throat, "How would they kill you?" His eyebrows shot up, "You want to know how to kill a werewolf..." She started to shake her head when he stopped her. "You should!" He said firmly, "Silver poisoning is the most effective. You can use silver bullets or knives. Anything that can get it into our blood stream. There's another way but it takes a lot of strength. Our heads have to be torn off. Our bones break and reset all the time so we can heal as long as things are connected. It has to come off..." She shivered and he shook his head. "You can't hesitate. We'll work this out. I'll train you to fight when I come back. It might even be fun." He smiled giving her hand a squeeze. "Wait, you're leaving now?" She asked. "Ya, sunrise is usually when we head home. I'll tell my family I just miss Ryder. They shouldn't think much more of me disappearing for days. If another wolf comes sniffing around just stay inside. Ryder use to have a rifle in the hall closet. I don't know if it's still there but a good warning shot should keep them from staying around." He shrugged and then took off out the front door. The sunlight cast the image from the glass across the room. Silvia got up to look and she saw another wolf approaching Everest through the fog. It was dark and much bigger. As though sensing her gaze it turned it's head towards her. She ducked back away from the window. When she looked again they were gone.
