Chapter 11 - He knows

Ashley went to the bathroom for a shower and Silvia glanced outside. It was the first time she did in hours. That's when she saw the wolf pacing. She could only see shadow and it's eyes. They held a golden glow. She remembered how Everest's eyes held that same hue and sure enough as soon as their eyes met the boy shifted. Silvia grabbed a blanket and ran outside. He grabbed it from her with a growl. "That loud mouthed friend of yours is nothing but trouble!" He snapped. Silvia practically growled back, "She's my best friend!" He huffed, "Some friend! Emmett's ready to gobble you up thanks to her!" Silvia's face flushed. He laughed, "Maybe you'd like that! Do you want me to turn you so you and him could have some pups?" Silvia's heart raced and Everest's eyes grew wide. "Holy shit! You do have the hots for him!" He howled, "If he's your mate it would work out just fine...but if not..." He stopped talking as wolves howled in the distance. He then huffed again and looked over his shoulder. Blazing green eyes stared back with a deep carnal growl. Tingles ran from the tips of Silvia's toes to the top of her head. "Well, speak of the devil!"Everest snapped with a growl of his own. Emmett shifted and slowly stepped into the light that was cascading from the cabin windows. Silvia gasped and turned around when she realized he was nude. A rumbling laugh came from him. "Don't stop talking on my account." He glowered stepping closer. She could feel his body heat radiating off of him. "That's close enough!" Everest snapped. "You've got some explaining to do baby brother!" Emmett said quietly. He then breathed in deeply and his breath raised goosebumps on her skin. "How much does she know?" He said in that same quiet tone. "Enough!" Everest growled, "Now back off Emmett!" Silvia had the strongest urge to run back inside the cabin and lock the door. Emmett chuckled, "Mhmm, I do love a good chase...but Silvia, you wouldn't make it two feet..." The way her name rolled off his tongue was like silk and made her legs feel like jelly. Emmett chuckled once more, "I'll give you three days before I alert the council! I want this she wolf and maybe to play with her friend too..." Silvia felt red hot anger rise in her blood and she spun around, "Like hell! If you try I'll slice your manhood off with a silver blade!" Emmett looked stunned and the smugness was wiped clean off. He glanced over to Everest who had the biggest smile on his face now. "I hope she is your mate Emmett!" Everest laughed. Emmett then snarled and grabbed Silvia by the throat. She began to sputter and gasp as she clawed at his hand. "You'd best learn your place! Right now, you're nothing but a human!" Emmett snarled, "I could break your pretty neck and not feel a thing!" He then dropped her and took off back to the woods. Everest looked at her and then his gaze went to the ground. "He's a lot stronger than me..." He whispered and Silvia could tell he was ashamed. "Can I meet your friend? Do you want her to know me as your brother or as your pet?" He asked quietly and Silvia patted his shoulder. "Of course! My brother...but you should probably put some clothes on first." She shrugged and Everest chuckled, " Ya, I'll go do that." As he went inside Silvia had the same feeling of being watched. Off in the distance silver eyes glowed and Silvia's breath caught in her throat once more. A high pitched whine made it's way to her ears and she froze. The eyes then disappeared and all she heard was snarls in the darkness so, she quickly went inside.
