Chapter 4 - The Truth is Stranger

"Well, you're not foaming at the mouth. That's good." The boy spoke casually, "That was Emma, Luca swore she was his daughter...guess not." "Where did you come from?" Silvia asked. "You already asked me that one!" He laughed, " Seriously though, Don't worry about the floor...You really need to get that bite cleaned out. Come on!" He tried to help her up. "Uh...no, you need to get out of my house naked boy before I call the cops again." Silvia said. "It's me Everest...Silvia...now come on!" He sighed. "Everest is a puppy! What did you do with him!?" She yelled pulling her arm from his grasp. "Are we really doing this?" He growled, "I'm a werewolf! Our father was a werewolf!" "I'm not! And... that's impossible!" She hollered back. "Not impossible! But you're right! You're not! Unless you want me to turn you into one get your ass off the floor! Trust me, the guys back home would love it if I did!" He growled. When she still didn't move he stomped to the bathroom and quickly returned with a bottle of rubbing alcohol. He grabbed her arm and poured it onto her wound. Silvia screamed. "We still have to watch for a fever but as long as you're not 100% human you shouldn't turn rabid. I had my doubts but I guess we'll know for sure soon." He said casually once more. Silvia then ran to the bathroom to throw up. "Ew, that's not good. Want some ice chips while we chat? I've got to get some pants on though." He said leaning against the door frame. "You need to get out!" She said under her breath. "Guess we're doing this the hard way." He smirked throwing the blanket down. He quickly went to his hands and knees. "No, no, no...none of that!" Silvia shrieked. "Sis, you've gotta watch!" He growled as his bones cracked and fur sprouted from his skin. Her puppy stared at her and tilted his head then everything went dark. Silvia's head hurt as she woke on the couch and Everest licked her hand. She didn't remember falling asleep there. "I had the strangest dream..." She said as she slowly sat up. Everest looked at her almost like he was laughing before trotting away. She looked at the doorway and there was no trace of blood but her wrist definitely was bitten. The pain shot up her arm and she forgot about her headache for a minute. "It's breakfast time! What would you like? I have to warn you, the only things I'm good at is PB&J or cereal." The boy laughed from the kitchen. "It wasn't a dream..." Silvia groaned and shook her head. It throbbed once more. "Why does my head hurt so bad?" She asked. Everest grimaced, "I may have bumped you into some walls dragging you over there... Good news, you're not dead...Bad news, a bunch of werewolves will be after you if they find out." "What?" Silvia responded. "Female werewolf's aren't born too often. They have to be turned but only half bloods can be turned. Maybe it's part of the curse? I don't know..." He said handing her a glass of orange juice. "You're making my headache worse..." She groaned.
