"My Apologies, Your Grace," Adira said with an extremely guilty face. Zaros have to stifle his laughter at her sarcastic actions. This woman…. She was a real entertainer.
"I will take my leave, Your Grace," Adira said with a slight bow and was ready to leave.
Serene walked behind Adira. Lenora and Eudora thought Adira would agree to Zaros request but she declined it smoothly. Lenora could see she was affected by her brother, but she didn't fall for the temptation. She could sense an air of awkwardness between them. She wondered why. But again… she was disappointed that her fiance didn't show up for the breakfast.
"I will take my leave, Your Grace, Queen Mother," Lenora said and started walking away.
When she reached her room, she drew the doors and curtains together attempting to remove her upper layer. These werewolves wore thicker clothes than vampires. But again, Vampires can withstand cold but werewolves can't. It doesn't mean they can't but they weren't as resistant as Vampires.
Queen Mother Eudora made sure she started following the rules of the Elisaveta Kingdom. And it started with these thick clothes. She couldn't wait to get rid of these clothes.
Standing in front of her mirror, she called Celine her handmaiden.
Celine came and helped her remove her upper layer. "These clothes are unbearably thick," Lenora breathed after removing the thick coat.
"You will get used to these, My Lady," Celine replied.
"I shall," she said with a sigh.
"What do you want to do now, My Lady?" Celine asked carefully.
"Get the history books of the Elisaveta Kingdom. I only have general knowledge of this kingdom," Lenora said with a sigh.
"By the way, What is my Queen Mother going to do with my little sister-in-law?" Lenora asked in an amused tone.
"That I don't know, My Lady. But today everyone is supposed to meet the Great Witch of the Elisaveta before the sunrise. Werewolf King issued an order that he will have a meeting with the Vampire King and Vampire Elders after the breakfast," Celine replied.
"Why didn't he attend the breakfast?" Lenora asked curiously.
"Werewolf King has a habit of having his food in his chambers it seems, My Lady," Celine replied.
"Oh," she responded.
"You are excused," she added.
Lenora wondered if he still doesn't trust her. Maybe he still has some doubts. After sharing her secrets with him, it would be like she was trying to get onto his good side desperately. Any sane person would think like that only. And… as a king, he got every single reason to doubt her.
In fact, she didn't reveal her secret, it was revealed by accident. He heard her heartbeat and that's how he knew about it.
And from all the vampires she was the only one who's different. That gives him more of a reason to doubt her.
Does that mean… this palace… even this palace wasn't good. Wait… her mother-in-law knew about her heartbeat. She doesn't know for sure but she can feel the doubt of her mother-in-law always on her. Lenora have to be careful from now. Didn't they say they were going to meet a witch. Maybe she have to ask her favor. Or send Celia to do things for her.
Only a witch would be a solution for her.
And the only one who was available for her was the witch in werewolf kingdom who was loyal to werewolves. Either all the werewolves knows her secret or none. She have to take a risk if she wants to be alive. And that too… when Vampires were there.
Or maybe if others hate her… then she could run away from here and start a new life. And worst was she would die. Oh wait… she's dead already. She will have to burn herself.
Just then Celia came in.
"My Lady, Queen Mother sent you a message with Lady Celine that. You have to learn etiquette of Werewolves. For that both Lady Serene and Queen Mother decided to teach on their own personally. Who would you like to prefer for you etiquette classes?" Celia asked passing the message.
"Whom shall I pick?" Lenora asked.
"Lady Serene," Celia said without a thought.
"Why?" Lenora asked guessing the reason. Yet she wants to know it from her.
