"She is your mother-in-law. And someone sensible than the Werewolf King. Even if she gets to know about your heartbeat she would keep it secret. That's why it's good to have bonded with her from the start and you can win the Werewolf king's heart through her. Heard she's loved by him a lot," Celia said.
"What is my sister-in-law's decision?" Lenora asked.
"I heard she chose your mother," Celia said.
"Hmmm…" Lenora responded.
"Poor her. Well, let's go with my mother-in-law. I thought of protecting her till she is here. But forget it," Lenora said with a lipped smile.
Celia nodded and went out. She went to the Queen Mother's chambers and replied to Lenora's decision.
Eudora felt something was off but brushed it off thinking that she might be overthinking.
Eudora let Celine make arrangements with the classes. After some time she walked to Lenora's chambers. Along with her, and elders in tow they entered the drawing-room.
With Vampire elders, Vampire King, Lenora, Eudora, Serene, Maximus, Adira and along with Werewolf Elders everyone walked towards the witch's fort.
Lenora noticed Adira was walking with her mother while Maximus was walking on the other side of Adira. And they were followed by the werewolf elders. It's as if the whole pack was protecting their little cute cub. She felt cute at the same time she felt jealous too. She wished she was treated like some one precious. But here she was… an outcast.
"Adira and Lenora why don't you guys walk with your partners," Serene suggested bringing Lenora out of her thoughts. Almost everyone agreed but Adira. Her face turned sullen and disappointed only for a brief second but was caught by the Vampire King and the Werewolf King.
And even Lenora too…
Zaros had an amused smirk on his face while Maximus had a suspicious look on his face.
But before they could say something Lenora came to Maximus's side that made Adira go to Zaros' side.
Lenora was watching Adira and Zaros's moments from the moment they entered. Something was wrong with them.
Adira didn't take Zaros's hand but walked alongside him gracefully as if she didn't see him offering his hand. She rolled her eyes at him.
Lenora saw this too. Looks like her brother messed up the things with her sister-in-law.
Zaros had a sour expression on his face as he noticed her actions. He wanted to grab her waist and pin her to the wall before kissing her senselessly and making her obey him. But he can't. Her brother was here.
Lenora realized something complicated was going on between them. Just then she saw Zaros signaling Eudora to leave them alone. Lenora turned around and saw Zaros was purposely walking slowly making sure that Adira was slowing down too.
Lenora understood her assignment. She has to distract her fiancee now.
Lenora pulled Maximus's hand. When he looked at her, she winked at him with a mischievous smile. Seeing almost everyone was ahead of them and Adira and Zaros were slower he pulled her towards a conspicuous corner to devour her lips.
"Can't wait? Huh?" he asked as he pressed himself towards her. As a Vampire, Lenora wore fewer clothes than everyone from the people here. Even Eudora wore fewer clothes but he didn't care.
Maximus could feel her soft flesh against his chest. She wore an off-shoulder dress that exposed her neck to him.
"I badly want you. But have to wait till the wedding," he said frustratedly.
"Sadly," she said as she took his hand and placed it over her chest, making him suck in a sharp breath.
"You are playing with fire," he said in his husky voice.
