The transformation has begun, and it's going rapidly. The pain surged inside of me, but oddly I didn't feel agony. I guess the pain wasn't unbearable because I face pain way worse than this. Either because of them, or from war. Nevertheless, I felt the transformation happening. My body twisted and expanded, my already tall height of 1.8 meters to 5 meters. During the process, I can feel a massive amount of energy being inserted into my veins. Making me feel stronger, I can feel myself being able to crash cars with my bare hand. As the transformation came to a close, my mind went blank.
================================================================
In front of me is another version of myself in demon form. However, he has no light of intelligence in his eyes. The beast, already a 5 meter beast, quickly grows to 10 meters in height. Without hesitation, I myself grew into my 4 meter form. He quickly strikes with an earth-shattering punch. I dodge quickly, knowing full well that there's no way I could tank a punch like that. Seeing that it missed the demon, it used its other hand to punch, only to miss me again.
Quickly, after I dodged, I ran toward its leg, before attacking it with a devastating punch. Sadly, my punch didn't even cause it to flinch. The demon raises its leg before kicking outward. I dodged it before rushing toward the other leg, ramming it.
Luckily for me, the strike did cause an impact on his balance. Like a big tree getting chopped, the demon falls down flat on the ground. Like a baby throwing a tantrum, the big giant demon wails its arms up and down trying to randomly hit me. If I were an amateur, I would be panicking. Fortunately, I am a master of hand-to-hand combat. I dodge through its obvious attack, before punching it hard with my combined fist. The demon screamed in pain from my double fist.
It stared at me with anger and the intent to kill. However, I just continued punching. It tried to stop me by using its arm to catch me, but I maneuvered around it easily. Angry that it failed to catch me with its right arm. It swiftly uses its left arm to try and smash me. To some, it looks fast, but to me it's slow as hell. I mean, imagine a big tree slowly tilting toward you. It might be big, but you could probably run away from its trajectory. So I just jump away really quickly, before punching myself in the dumb head all over again.
The same pattern repeats itself many times. This big lump of muscle is like a video game boss. It only knows a few moves to attack. It is such a waste that god gives this demon power, when it can't even utilize even a fraction of it. I began to feel ashamed of this mistake, and I thought of many ways to quickly end it.
Luckily for me, I found one. Since this mistake only has a one-track mind, I might as well use it to kill the damn fool. Since I am able to make it fall to the ground 5 times already, I am going to use it as a boost to my punches. Next time I make it fall, I'll quickly dash toward its head before uppercutting this dumb hunk of flesh to its ancestor.
The plan is in motion, so it's time to start. The first step is to approach its leg. Next, wait for it to kick. After using full body ramming to make it fall. The enemy has fallen, so now it's time to finish it. I squeezed the muscle in my leg to its fullest, before boom! The missile launched, quick as lightning, and my punch made contact with the demon's head. What occurs is the most horrifying firework show you'll ever see.
My fist bone shatters like a grenade set abloom. The demon head starts to crack quickly in succession, decapitating it from its body. Before, Kaboom! The blood, brain, skull spread toward the sky in a beautiful display of gore. In the end, I won. It thinks that just because of size, it can win against me. It has underestimated me, thinking that my underdeveloped ability is weak. It seems wrong. Just you wait, demon. Even if you're dead, witness how I will evolve my card ability into infinity.
My body starts glowing brightly like the sun in the night sky. Before, it started to fade like a firefly that's about to die. With the light fading, I fade with it. Strangely, I didn't feel scared of fading away. The light around me gives me a feeling of comfort. It's like a nice warm bath after a long day of work. In minutes, my light was gone. So did my body.
================================================================
I opened my eyes to be greeted by the same scene before I left. I stand up tall and mighty with my 5 meter height. Everything is much smaller than before, I examine my body feeling satisfied with the transformation, I have shed the skin of inferiority into something better. Something that broke my limit and gave me a new one. My old body was perfect in appearance, but at the end of the day humans are fragile. I understand that these cards can give us power, but how long does it take to give you enough. Enough to be able to tank a bullet, bomb, missile, and many more man made weapons.
I feel so unstoppable that I quickly jump outside the building, before roaring loudly into the sky. I am attracting as many demons as I can so I can slaughter them. The sounds of wild footsteps echo around the military base. It didn't take long before the first demon arrived. Strangely, though, the demon didn't attack me. It instead did a bow toward me, which is confusing to say the least.
As time passed, more than a hundred demons were kneeling in front of me. Looking at the scene in front of me, I couldn't help feeling awed by the situation. I looked to see what I would do next, until I remembered about the status bar.
Race: Lesser Pride Demon

Speed: 1.12 B Rank
Endurance: 1.3 B Rank
Magic: 1.0 B Rank
Card: 3 Star-Colossal Might

Looking at my status, I can deduce why these demons are kneeling toward me. My race is a Lesser Pride Demon, which I guess must be higher than them in their hierarchy. Understanding their reason to kneel, I look at them in a different light. They aren't mindless beasts, if they have a hierarchy. So there must be a leader somewhere. While that is really plausible, I don't have a reason to care about it yet. Quite simply because I can say for sure there's no leader demon here in this base. If there was one, these demons wouldn't be kneeling to me like their leader.
With that confusion out of the way, I began to do the thing I was about to do. Slaughter every demon in sight. I quickly transform into a 10-meter-tall colossus before launching a kick at the nearest demon. Like a soccer ball being kicked, the head flies across the sky. Hitting another demon in the back of the head. The demons around me, confused by my action of killing their own brethren, shouted.
I responded back with another powerful kick. Having no time to react, the demon's whole body flew 4 meters in the air with a big hole in its chest. The other demons, seeing that I was attacking another one of them, started to attack. Five jumped into the air, launching a punch toward my heart. I ruin their plan by swatting them from the air, swatting an annoying fly from your food, sending them flying toward a wall. Among the five demons, only one managed to survive the impact.
The demon being the beast that they are, they all attacked me relentlessly while I was busy swatting at five comrades. I can feel pain coming from my leg and thigh. Without skipping a beat, I quickly did a whirlwind kick, pushing the ten demons that attacked my leg flying toward the fall, heavily injuring them. The cycle repeated itself until every demon that came died.
After killing every demon, Lockheart opened his status window one more time.
