??? Pov
It looks like the Demon Lord of Pride is still in his early days. If I am able to obtain the three stars card I want, I might be able to defeat him and rid this world of the biggest menace in the future. Right now, sadly, I couldn't do any damage to him. By the look at his movement speed, he hasn't passed the ten point mark yet. If his movement were to be passed ten points, he would easily kill all those fighters in a quick minute, not the 5 minutes seen.
His endurance seems to be above the 10 point line since he's able to take a fireball spell without even being scratched. Looking at that last attack of his, it looks to be that strength is his lowest state. A person with strength near the 10 point line could easily shatter an area of 10 meters with their kick alone. Compared to my state, he's still way above me in everything, except for one thing: magic.
William
Race: Human
Origin: Earth
Strength: 4.75 E Rank
Speed: 3.12 E Rank
Endurance: 4.21 E Rank
Magic: 12 E Rank
Card: 4 Star-Cat Have Nine Live(1/9)
Looking at how he's utilizing his cards, none of them have any signature of magic involved. Especially his sword. If my guess is right, his sword is from the three stars card called "Living Weapon." A weapon that grows with its user, gaining abilities along the way. From my knowledge, the Demon Lord of Pride great sword's first ability is bloodthirst. Whenever he damages someone, the great sword will drink the blood of the enemy to repair itself, sharpen itself, and heal the user. A great tool to sustain in a fight.
Sigh! It looks like there are going to be a lot of things I need to do before trying to kill the Demon Lord of Pride.

LockHeart Pov
It's been three days since the last massacre. I've been journeying across the land trying to find demons to grow stronger. Sadly for me the demons are so cowardly that they don't have the balls to show up because, for some reason, I couldn't find any. I could only hope that I could find them.
I notice a few changes in the environment as I travel. There seem to be new black obsidian-like rock spikes littered all over the place. I don't know what this means, but I felt some sort of familiarity with it. So whatever it is, I could only presume that it wouldn't affect me negatively or positively.
I walked and walked aimlessly until I heard a loud booming sound in the distance. Assuming that sound means a battle between humans and demons. I run quickly in the direction of the sound. A few minutes pass, and off in the distance, I see the source of the sound, and all I can do is look in surprise.
In front of me is a 15-meter demon standing on all fours with cracks along its skin that looks like molten rocks. Its back is bursting with flames like a volcano eruption. The claws are as tall as trees, penetrating the earth, leaving a deep footprint on the ground. On its head were two big horns, standing tall in the sky. The demon's intimidating appearance, complete with fangs in its mouth, could make many faint just by existing.
Looking at the demon, I felt something I haven't felt for a long time; fear. Although the other demons are big and scary too, they are still within reach of the limit. They are either 2 meters or 3 meters taller than me before I turned into one too. Another reason why I wasn't scared is because they are humanoids. I have lots of experience fighting people. However, this demon isn't humanoid; it's an animal-type demon. Also, the flame from its appearance can tell anyone that's not blind that it can control fire or use fire in its attack.
Nevertheless, even if I fear it, I will not let it live. I cannot live a single day knowing that something is much stronger than me. Count yourself an unlucky demon, for I LockHeart will kill you one way or another.
Looking at the demon, the best strategy is to stay at 5 meters in height and use its blind spot, the belly. To do vital damage while giving the demon the least amount of opportunity to attack back. That's the goal. Now what action should I take to reach that goal? Seeing that it's on four legs, there's a likely chance that it would be fast and agile in its movement. It also has a fire attack, but I don't know if it can do a ranged attack. However, just to be safe, I'll include it in. Since it's a death sentence to underestimate an enemy that could kill you easily.
To reach the goal, instead of me running toward the demon, I will wait for it to come to me. When it closes the distance, I will use that opportunity to either block or dodge. If I managed to dodge, I could use the opportunity to go to its blind spot and reach my goal.
Okay, with that plan, it's time to kill that demon. Grabbing a rock, I throw it at the demon to grab the demon's attention, causing it to turn to me. What I didn't realize was that the beast range attack was something that was extremely powerful and difficult to dodge. It condenses its flame, turning it into a powerful fireball and shooting it at me. As soon as that thing came my way, I felt my senses telling me to run away from it, which I did. I ran thirty meters from the designated area of the attack. The ball missed and hit the ground, creating a pillar of fire that increased the temperature of the whole area to a boiling level and a crater that is 10 meters deep and 20 meters wide.
Seeing the casualties caused by a single demon attack. I realize how much of a mistake I made in predicting the demon's move. This made me realize how ignorant I was of this new world, combat wise, at least. I know that I should learn more and improve myself. Nevertheless, because this demon taught these lessons, it deserves to die even more. How dare it cause me so much fear? I will kill it to tell the world that I will overcome and kill everything that comes in the way of my pride.
The beast who had just released a powerful move now lunged toward me from a distance. Seeing this, I couldn't help but feel thankful to the demon for positioning me at its blind spot. However, I was wrong. The demon body, like a scorching sun, starts to be surrounded by flames. At this point, I understand why it did what it did. Not even waiting for it to reach the peak of its jump. I quickly ran away from the demon's destination.
When the demon falls into the group, the impact looks as if an extinction meteorite fell from the sky. The flames from its body spread outward from the demon's body, sending a wave of fire in a 50 meter radius. I wasn't quick enough to get out of the radius and feel the burn from its attack. The scorching burn I was expecting did come, but not as hot as I thought. This made me realize that, as a demon, I do have a degree of fire resistance.
This new information made me able to make a much more flexible plan to fight this demon. While its powerful flame attack could destroy me if I was directly hit, with my flame resist, I would be able to minimize the damage by standing in a certain radius of its attack. If I were able to calculate the radius of damage, I would be able to come up with a strategy that would use the energy from its attack to launch myself toward the demon head.
However, before doing it, I need to know if the demon can use its flame as a defense type ability that either rebels or burns the enemy before they have the opportunity to touch it.
