Leon frowned as he heard this and looked to be a little confused as he questioned, "Helped you...? When did I ever?"
Leon felt that there was clearly a misunderstanding here. He had indeed tried hard to get rid of this girl but when had he ever helped her...?!
Alora chuckled as she stepped closer and patted the man's shoulder, "It's okay even if you don't remember. I'm sure you'll recall it eventually."
"..." Leon's face cringed up in disgust and he immediately patted down his shoulders as if the girl had dirtied them.
"But as embarrassing as it is, I still need to come here and ask you for help this time," Alora spoke with a sigh.
Leon raised his eyebrows with great interest as he heard this and he couldn't help but remember Carmen's words.
'Earn her trust and betray her...'
Leon was disgusted by that idea since he didn't want to be labeled as a weak demon who only knew how to use such petty tricks, however, if Alora was serving up her trust nicely dressed in a plate right in front of him, it really left him with not many choices.
"What help?" Leon coughed as he asked and he tried to convince himself that he was only asking out of curiosity and had no interest in actually helping her out.
"Let's kill those succubi," Alora beamed as if she were talking about the weather.
"..." Leon was the demon here but at this moment, he couldn't help but look at the girl and feel that she was much more sinister than him.
"Since I was already tricked into making a deal with them, there are only two ways out of this. I can either kill you or you can help me kill them."
With a scoff, Leon asked, "If you are so confident that you can kill me, why not just take the second route and kill them yourself? Why ask me for help?"
"You have a point there," Alora muttered as she seriously started thinking about it.
Leon pursed his lips into a thin line and looked at the girl with an unimpressed gaze as he asked, "Do you think it would be that easy to kill three demons?"
Alora shook her head with a small frown as she honestly responded, "I don't think it's easy at all."
"..."
"If I'm doing it alone, there is also a chance that I might fail, but with you, I don't have to worry about things like that. If you help me, the job would be done much faster so you are clearly the more efficient option."
Leon was suddenly enraged to hear this and immediately questioned, "Are you calling me just an option that happens to be the easiest?!"
Alora didn't notice the threatening tone behind his words and she innocently nodded her head as she blatantly answered, "That's right. I'm here because I'm lazy."
Leon suddenly felt as if he was having a headache and he was so angry that he couldn't even say anything against the girl.
"In any case, I had an inkling that you won't agree, so at first, I thought I should go to that other dude and ask him for help, but then, this thing is kinda related to you so I concluded that it would be best just to come to you directly."
Leon's eyes dangerously narrowed down on the girl and from her long speech, there was only one word that had managed to catch his attention, "Other dude...?!"
Alora nodded her head as she spoke, "Ya know, the handsome one. I think his name was Carmen or something...?"
"..."
"Your Highness, you look a bit red. Are you okay?"
When she saw Leon's face turning red with anger, she honestly looked to be worried as she wondered whether the man was going to pass out once again or not.
"How dare you compare me to another man?!" Leon fumed out and Alora blinked in surprise as she felt a little confused about what she had done wrong.
"Get out of my room!" Leon immediately exclaimed as he pointed at the door and Alora was sure that the man was not joking.
"Does that mean you'll consider my plan?" Alora gulped as she carefully questioned.
Leon started shaking with anger and he stomped his feet loudly on the ground as he sternly repeated his words, "Get out!"
"Well, I guess I'll take my leave then," Alora spoke with an awkward chuckle before turning and calmly leaving the room.
After she had gone, the demon prince gritted his teeth and stood up before making his way to the mirror that was covered with black poisonous vines.
"Is she blind or something...?!" Leon scoffed as he questioned in disbelief.
"I am clearly much more handsome than that damned Carmen!" Leon exclaimed as he punched the mirror and shattered it into pieces.
"Is that so?" There came a chuckle from the doorway and it seemed that Carmen who had come over to pay him a visit had managed to hear this sudden exclaimation.
Leon cleared his throat and immediately retreated his fist as he straightened his back and turned to look at the man.
"Wht are you doing here?" Leon asked and acted as if what had happened was nothing more than a mere illusion.
Carmen pursed his lips into a thin smile as he spoke, "I'm here for the drama."
"..."
"I heard you shouting so I guessed something was up. Aren't I lucky to have walked in at the perfect timing?" The man beamed.
Leon, "Cut the crap and sit down."
Carmen chuckled as he heard this reaction and didn't bother standing around as he went over to take a seat.
"So did she say I am handsome?" Carmen tilted his head and smugly asked.
"She's blind," Leon clicked his tongue as he took a seat on the high throne that was placed inside his room.
"And you sound quite jealous," Carmen commented with the small teasing smile.
"Why would I be jealous of what that Ugly mortal said?!" Leon fumed as his eyebrows creased together and he glared at the man.
Carmen simply chuckled as he heard this and didn't bother commenting on it any further, knowing that he might just anger the man a bit too much.
