Mari had personally come to earth just to threaten Alora. She had messed with the heads of her classmates and made them think that she had always been one of them.
Alora was the only one who knew her real identity and she was also the only one who could deal with Mari without putting her friends in danger.
So of course, Alora bravely nodded her head and agreed with Mari.
There weren't really many choices that she was presented with, however, agreeing to do a job and actually doing it were two entirely different things.
After staying in the palace for a while, Alora had already understood a few things and one of those things just happened to be the fact that the three succubi threatening her were one of the weakest demons that couldn't really pose a threat to humans.
This was also the very reason why they needed Alora. With their weak strength, they wouldn't even be able to lay a scratch on the demon prince.
As long as she worked smartly, she could trick the three women and get out of this deal smoothly without any troubles.
However, Alora needed a bit of help from someone.
And hence, that night, Alora went to sleep early and woke up in the dreamland once again.
It seemed that while she had been gone, the news of her taming the hound dogs had spread throughout the palace and it gave birth to a lot more rumors.
Everyone's attitude towards her completely changed in a single day. They all greeted her and looked up to her now, but none of that really mattered to her since she wasn't here to gain respect from these people.
However, there was one particular rumor that she was a bit interested in.
Since the demon prince had come and left with a single word upon seeing Alora, a huge misunderstanding had been created and now, most of the working staff thought that the demon prince liked Alora.
This rumor sounded simply ridiculous to Alora but she still couldn't help but smile as she heard it.
"I'm so glad that you're here," The head maid immediately put on a wide smile as she saw Alora and asked, "Can you please take this up to the prince's room? I'm afraid he won't be happy if it is someone else that takes it up to him."
Alora gulped as she heard this and internally thought that the demon prince would probably be much happier if it really was somebody else taking it up to him, however, she didn't bother voicing out her thoughts as she took this as an opportunity to talk to the demon prince.
"I'd be happy to deliver it," Alora spoke politely as she took the tray.
The rest of the staff giggled as they gossiped amongst themselves. It seemed that they were all very interested in the demon prince's non-existent love life.
When Alora reached the demon prince's room, she cleared her throat and knocked on the door three times as she announced, "Your evening tea is here."
One of the guards peeked down with a bit of surprise as he heard the girl and when he saw her face, he relaxed and returned to his poker face.
It needed to be noted that although she had knocked correctly, she had still forgotten to refer to the demon prince as 'your royal highness' and this was also considered to be rude.
"Come in!" Leon's voice came shortly after and for the first time, he sounded calm and not enraged.
The door opened up on its own and Alora smiled as she entered the room.
"You look healthy now," Alora spoke with a small chuckle and although she didn't mean much by saying this, the demon prince seemed to have misunderstood her intentions and thought he was being mocked by the girl.
"Why are you here again?" Leon clicked his tongue as he raised his head and questioned strictly.
"Your tea," Alora placed the tray down on the table as she spoke, "And also because I wanted to visit you."
"..." Leon was clearly not buying this excuse so he took a sharp breath in and asked, "Is the tea poisoned?"
Alora innocently blinked with a bit of surprise as she questioned, "How'd you know?"
Leon's eyebrows drew together angrily as he heard this but before he could say anything, Alora broke out laughing.
She shook her head as she spoke, "I'm just kidding. There's no way I'd poison a friend."
"A friend?" Leon's muscles immediately tensed up as he repeated with confusion.
"Don't you remember?" Alora tilted her head with a small smile as she spoke, "You agreed to be my friend right before you passed out."
Leon couldn't help but choke on empty air as he heard this.
"And by the way, I am also here for business today," Alora coughed as she comfortably took a seat with her back straight and spoke.
"Business?" Leon gulped as he raised his eyebrows and patiently waited for her to explain a bit further.
"It concerns your life," Alora nodded her head with a sigh as she spoke, "Someone hired me to kill you."
"..."
That probably sounded a lot more straightforward than Alora had meant it to sound.
"Get out," Leon responded with an expressionless face.
Alora chuckled as she heard this and shook her head as she spoke, "Don't worry, I already told them that I'd take the job, but I'm not really here to kill you."
Leon pursed his lips into a thin line and looked at the girl as he wondered if he was supposed to laugh at this or not.
"Well, I did initially think about getting rid of you but I no longer harbor any bad intentions," Alora spoke honestly as she defended herself and informed, "Since you've helped me a long time ago, I'd also like to return the favor right now."
Leon frowned as he heard this and looked to be a little confused as he questioned, "Helped you...? When did I ever?"
Leon felt that there was clearly a misunderstanding here. He had indeed tried hard to get rid of this girl but when had he ever helped her...?!
