After this simple exchange of words, Old Man Dai gestured for Will to follow him, which he did.
Soon after, they reached a beautifully decorated room. In this room, there sat a bed, and on that bed sat a girl. This girl was so pretty that wars would be fought over her, but her face was currently contorted in intense pain, with ugly yellow lines on her face extending down her whole body.
This girl was the princess of Scorching Sun kingdom, princess Kessia.
She sat there in pain, occasionally shifting uncomfortably.
As Will approached her, he felt a feeling of love and hope, but it was drowned out by a feeling of sadness and hate, which he felt was unusual since the princess was widely loved throughout the kingdom. If she was a hateful person, why would she be feeling the emotion of hate?
Despite this, Will still planned to help her.
"I will do what I can," he said before he started.
As he said this, the king went over to the other side of the room and sat on the chair. He would have preferred to stay at his daughter's side, but Old Man Dai had warned him that Will would need a lot of space.
He deeply trusted Old Man Dai, so he had moved Kessia to this room which was simply massive, with high ceilings and far walls.
As Will was starting, his wings started to spread, leaving him looking like an angel made of blood. Then, a low rumbling started to spread, quickly becoming immensely loud. In just a few seconds, this booming had become so loud that the entire castle was thrown into panic. However, the king quickly yelled to them that there was nothing to worry about, projecting his voice with his spiritual power so that Will would not be able to hear him so that he wouldn't be distracted.
As Will's wings reached maximum expansion, they had reached over ten feet wide and made him seem as if nothing in this world could defy him. Then, slowly, the room started getting cloudy, leaving the king barely able to see.
This mist was pearl white qi, which was so dense that just seeing it you could feel it's weight.
Slowly, this dense mist formed into drops, which accumulated closer to Will than the mist.
Then, these drops started to slowly combine, forming into a mighty river.
From this river, threads as thin as the thinnest needles formed, all branching out into different directions.
These threads then slowly started coming towards princess Kessia's body, aligning themselves above her.
Then, the booming that covered the whole castle slowly got stronger, eventually covering the whole castle along with extending into the city. With each boom, red particles slowly formed in the air, surrounding the needle thin threads of pearl white qi.
Then, they slowly condensed around the qi, leaving them looking like ruby threads.
Then, the threads started moving towards princess Kessia's body, eventually going into her. They first went into her wrists, then went into her head, then slowly spread out from there, eventually having nearly her whole body covered in the ruby threads.
Slowly, her body was lifted up by these ruby threads, suspending her in the air.
Quickly, the king could see the yellow lines which plagued her body disappearing, leaving her looking perfectly healthy. However, Will did not stop what he was doing.
At this moment, princess Kessia was completely recovered. But she continued to float there, suspended by the ruby threads. Since she was fully healed, she now woke up.
The first thing she saw when she woke up was a thread of ruby, going directly into her forehead. This greatly alarmed her, but when she thought about it, she realized that she was poisoned and that she was awake, so this thread probably had something to do with it.
The next thing that she perceived was the immense booming which was shaking the whole castle. This deeply scared her, to the point where she could no longer contain herself and yelled, "What's happening??!!"
At this moment, the king stood up and yelled, "Kessie??? Are you alright??"
There were tears in his eyes as he heard his daughter's voice for the first time in months. He was so happy that it could not be put into words.
However, this happiness was so intense that it caused Will to falter, leading him to fall to one knee, with him nearly losing control over the threads of ruby.
Seeing this, Old Man Dai realized that he had forgotten to tell the king to hold back his emotions.
"Stop!!!" he yelled in urgency to the king.
"The boy is sensitive to emotions!!!" he yelled with such urgency that it actually scared the king.
At this moment, he perceived that the pearl white mist was growing unstable, nearly on the brink of collapse. He never would have expected this, and he was thankful that Old Man Dai had been there to warn him, otherwise his happiness could have been the end of his daughter's life.
Slowly, the mist grew stable again, leaving Kessia floating over the bed.
Suddenly, the booming that was covering the castle instantaneously stopped, leaving utter silence. The ruby particles that were covering the pearl white qi also disappeared, leaving the bare threads.
These threads then slowly lowered princess Kessia, gently laying her on the bed. However, they did not disappear. They continued to stream into princess Kessia, brightening her skin and giving her the feeling of security that was so immense that it could not be replicated. Along with this sense of security, she felt something else.
This was a feeling of peace. The peace was so intense that it seemed as if it could calm the most raging ocean. As if it could settle the most powerful hurricane. This feeling was peace supreme, the ruling power that ruled by not doing anything.
With this feeling of peace alone, she felt her cultivation quickly increasing, leading her to actually break through to the next stage, then the next, and the next.
In an instant, she had broken through three whole stages!! However, this feeling did not last long before it dissipated instantaneously.
At this moment, Will fell over, exhausted. He had used every ounce of strength that he possessed at this moment. It took him a great deal of effort to even stay awake.
At this moment, the king could wait no longer and rushed over to the bed, where he saw his daughter laying there peacefully. She seemed like a goddess at this moment and looked healthier than she ever had before. Every trace of the poison that had once been in her was gone.
She then opened her eyes, which now seemed infinitely clear, like a starry sky, yet deep as the deepest pool of water.
Her entire aura was completely different from before. She seemed so calm that she could calm the most vicious of fires.
It was at this moment that the king noticed her increased cultivation, which had increased from the sixth stage of the foundational realm to the ninth stage of the foundational realm.
At this moment, the king could not care less about any of that though. He simply bent down and hugged his daughter. All that mattered to him was that she was alive. He was so happy that he completely forgot about Old Man Dai's warning for Will's sensitivity to emotions. He released all his happiness at this moment, which was so strong that even Old Man Dai could feel the happiness in the air. However, he instead looked grave at this moment, because he was looking at Will who had now collapsed on the ground and was writhing in pain.
At this moment, Will was in intense pain, so bad that he could only managed to let out a hoarse cry of pain, loud enough that the king could finally realize what was happening.
He quickly released Kessia and reached towards Will to help him up. However, despite his expectations, Will's wing quickly swung towards him as if it was instinctual. He was so close that he could not dodge the wing, so the only choice that he had would be to either use his spiritual power to blast Will away, or he could take the hit and hope it didn't do too much damage.
He quickly decided against the latter since it might kill Will, who was only at the sixth stage of the foundational realm.
With this decision, he let the wing hit him. However, despite his expectations of the wing cutting him, it simply stopped dead, as if it hit an invisible wall of steel.
Then, without any warning, the wing simply melted into a liquid so fast that no one could see it. Then, this liquid fell to the floor, which it burned through instantly.
This was astonishing because the floor was made of solid marble and granite, and would require immense power to even damage, let alone dissolve in not even a second.
The next thing that happened was that Will's red hair quickly became jet black, along with his eyes, leaving him looking like the void itself. This black was so deep that even the king could not possibly begin to see the beginning of it.
Will looked like a ghost, sent here from hell to drag everything to eternal destruction. However, despite how he looked, he continued to sit there, unconscious.
At this moment, princess Kessia sat up, looking at Will with her seemingly infinite eyes.
