Chapter 19 - Time to Escape

(A/N; WARNING there are graphic descriptions of gore and violence within this chapter ;))

'Well done, now let's leave this shit hole and never look back. We've wasted enough time here getting tortured by these bastards so they can't blame us for being heartless...'

Ebony paused her line of thought, as she heard her wolf whining softly. Confused at the wolfs behaviour, she began ordering her wolf to move before her wolf had the chance to shut her out and go along with her own plans. 'Let's go. Now. Come onnnn! We have to leave now, it's not the time for you to have a doubts. Why are you hesitating?'

Growling in rage, her wolf charged towards the exit and Ebony sighed in relief as her chances of surving this escape were rapidly increasing. Slamming through the wall, the wolf glanced around in the dust smothered air as chunks of concrete fell around her. Ebony urged her wolf just to run in any direction as it had to be better than staying in the same place the guards would be heading to.

After never leaving the room, she had no idea about the layout in the facility. In fact for all she knew she could have been in a completely different facility, which would just be... Unfortunate.

Weighing out the odds, she concluded that taking the risk of possibly escaping was better than staying there till another mob of people with guns came and took her down. Knowing she wouldn't be able to survive another eight years of what she had just suffered through, she would rather they kill her than keep her alive so she could suffer. Death was her backup plan if everything went to sh*t, she knew her parents would rather she died than suffer a lifetime of pain whilst trapped in a cage going mad.

Heading forwards, her wolf began increasing in speed until she was almost a phantom shooting through the corridors. If not for the noise coming from her paws hitting of the marble flooring she would have been unnoticeable. Luckily they hadn't ran into any guards yet and Ebony was starting to assume that the guards she had just massacred were all the ones they had. But she knew better.

Somewhere along the way there'll be an army of people with guns waiting for her and she wasn't going to rely on false assumptions just because it gave her a peace of mind. Heading towards where there was noise, her wolf began to slow down and become more cautious. She wasn't going to let the same thing that happened last time happen again. Reminding herself, once she left this facility it would be her sole mission to get back what was stolen from her.

Panting, her wolf haulted as she could hear noises nearing them and decided to sneak attack them from the corner while their guard down. Listening to their conversation, ebony inferred that the news of her escape hadn't reached them, which meant the higher ups were keeping the situation under wraps so there wasn't a panic like they had last time.

'Hehe so they don't want panic huh?' Ebony conspiring about how to cause chaos for the organisation, hadn't realised that the two guards were now stood in front of her wolf with wide eyes and open mouths.

"H-how? D-did she es-escape? B-but it was n-never br-broadcasted it on the r-radios" one man stuttered, while clumsily grabbing the gun from his holster and aiming at her.

'well sh*t, who could have guessed that grabbing his gun was his first move' ebony sighed as she mentally, pitying the man before her.

Watching the man beside her grab his gun, she copied and they both stood there shaking while barely holding onto the trigger. Ebony mentally laughed at the poor security they had installed, thinking that they were obviously dillusional to think that these pathetic things would get in her way.

'Geez they really let themselves go while I acted like the good hostage for a few years. Didn't really think it would be this bad to be honest but all the better for me, haha!'

"S-stop where you are!" the first guy screamed nervously, while nudging his partner to call someone on the radio, "move and we-we'll shoot! So stay w-where you are! D-don't move!"

' Wow. This was really... It. This was there great protection, these grade A fools. I really overestimated this place, the fact that this is soo easy is more frightening than if I was met by an army. I feel like I'm playing into their hands and this is a decoy or something...Surely this is a decoy... Right? '

Looking around, Ebony's wolf shook her head in disappointment as she was really looking forward to killing some of these asshole's on her way out of here. Clearly, the organisation were they ones that underestimated them instead of them overestimating the organisation. 'Although I'm happy we're getting out of here, I'm a little insulted they thought so little of me. Well nevermind it makes it all the easier for me.'

Growling at the woman who had just picked up her radio, Ebony's wolf raised her front legs. Standing on her hind legs, she launched on top of them both cracking their bones as they coughed up blood beneath her. Groaning, they both struggled under her weight and as she increased the pressure on them it wasn't long before they stopped moving all together.

'Stop playing with them! They're dead let's go forward before the rest of security shows up.'

Grunting in disappointment at her humans commands, the wolf sped forward the way the two guards had just came.

Heading closer to the collection of noises, Ebony realised they had stumbled across a mob of ghosties.' Oh sh*t! This ain't gonna be good. Emm, wolfy chill out for sec will you, I know they did a lot of bad things to us but we need to think rationally before we-'

Cut short, her wolf marched towards the group clustered around some metal doors with glowing buttons attached. Wondering as to what they were waiting for, Ebony lost focus on her wolf who was snarling at the group of ghosties who were now shrieking in fear. Some even making an attempt to run through a brick wall.

Spreading her paws wide on the floor, she grated one of her front paws backwards along the marble floor. Scratching it with her extended, razor sharp claws as the humans paused in terror, petrified as to what was to come next.

Exhaling a deep breath of anger and fury, the wolf lowered her head to meet the fear and terror in their eyes. Satisfaction rose up her throat, as she realised that the people who helped in her parents murder and aided in the constant supply of torture she received were now stood below her trembling like little rabbits.

Her dark eyes glowed slightly with a red hue as she stepped towards them slowly, with her paws cracking into the smooth marble flooring with each step. Her wolf was more like a bull that could only see in red as she made her way to her shaking prey, frozen in their tracks. Some wept and begged God for help while others screamed in fear or anger at her. All were welcomed sights as she revelled in their suffering, vengeance was finally being served.

'Ohh how revenge is sweet, anyone who says otherwise clearly hasn't tasted the fruits of it's labour. Hohoho, I absolutely can't wait to devour them.'

Inches away from the crowd, the wolf growled loudly creating a pressure above their heads that forced them to submit. Dropping to the floor, they lowered their heads onto their hands as though they were praying- no begging for her mercy. Mercy she had no intention in the slightest of giving them.

'On which planet would their actions be so easily forgiven- well it doesn't matter as long as it ain't this one, hahaha' Ebony cracked up as her wolf began ripping the heads and limbs of the ghost crew dyeing their clinical white lab coats red. As red as when that Dr. Ghosty and Demonic Fluffy tore her apart day after day.

'No. Forgiveness would never be given to this scum, not by me and not by God. I'll meet you all in hell because that's the only place I'll be able to go after I've sought out my revenge on you all.' a slight prick in her heart occurred at the thought of not reuniting with her parents. But she reminded herself that she would never feel worthy enough to stand by their sides if her she didn't exact revenge for them and the rest of her family who was slaughtered. If hell was the price to pay then she would pay it for the sake of the rest of her family.

It didn't take long for another blood bath to form beneath her. Glancing at her reflection of the metal doors, she realised that her coat was no longer the gleaming, magnificent white it once was, now replaced by a dark blood red coating. Gritting her teeth at the monster she had became, she swallowed the bile rising at the back of her throat. She could get though this, it wouldn't be long now. She only had to escape then all of this would be over and she could go back home. 'Home?'

Shrugging of her thoughts, she saw the metal doors starting to part only to reveal the familiar face of her most desirable kill.

'Ghosty. I wondered why I hadn't saw him amongst the pile of corpses. So he had decided to wait and come to me himself allowing me to slowly enjoy torturing him to death . How. Nice.'

Mentally grinning at the sight of her most prized prey, she told her wolf to take her time with this one.

"Y-you? ES261, how? I was so sure that the cage would be secure enough, yet still...you still managed to escape from me." gritting his teeth the doctor balled his hands at his side as his eyes lowered at the mess he was faced with, "You-YOU TRULY WERE A MONSTER! ALL THIS TIME ACTING THE GOOD GIRL BUT DEEP DOWN YOUR ALL THE SAME! JUST LIKE THE ONE THAT KILLED MY MOTHER! YOUR ALL MONSTERS! BEASTS! FREAKS OF NATURE!"

Finally having enough of him ranting sh*t at her, she mindlinked him and with unsettingly calm tone," Your exactly right dear old Ghosty. However the one's that killed your mother failed to exact the revenge that I'm about to finish off for them. I would ask you how it feels to be killed by a monster of your own creation... But you'll be dead, hahaha!"

Flinching at the sudden amusement in her voice he stepped backwards in the elevator, furiously, rushing to click any button on the panel. Any floor that would take him away from the monster before him. Reminded of her words 'a monster of his own creation' he gulped. Considering his predicament he was in no position to think about the meaning behind those words but his heart felt compelled to ask her, "D-did I truly..."

"Huh! Sorryyy I can't hear you when your stammering like that Ghosty... SPEAK UP" her vicious tone forced him to speak up as he clenched his eyes in fear of what he would see in front of him.

"DID I- DID I TRULY CREATE A MONSTER? AM I RESPONSIBLE... FOR ALL OF THESE PEOPLE DYING? PLEASE TELL ME, TELL ME IF I HAD SET YOU FREE ALL THOSE YEARS AGO... WOULD YOU HAVE KILLED ALL OF THEM?"He desperately yelled, expecting her to tell him otherwise. At least to ease his conscience before he takes his last breath.

" I wonder would I have killed them all...probably not. But I'd still have been a monster. See, you're still under the illusion that I'm a monster because of you torturing me for all that time, but that was just a small, minor factor in my making. The real reason lies with my parents and their parents and all the parents before them that were mercilessly slaughtered by you humans. For you, history keeps repeating itself and it doesn't matter how many times we forgive and forget-" Ebony enhaled as she sucked up the energy to finish her speech.

" You-you still kill us without thought for our family, friends, children, lovers. All for what? Jealousy? Unwarranted fear? Or was it for the simple fact we were different? We weren't human so in your eyes that only left a monster. Well now you've got one, a Real. Big. MONSTER! " Ebony roared as her wolf revealed her sharpened canines, that continued to grow back no matter how many times the man in front of her sawed them off.

" I-I I'm-" the doctor struggled to form a sentence, as he peaked at the wolf to see her full rows of teeth growling at him, but that wasn't what caught his attention the most. Tears streamed out of her now mellow eyes, he became lost in the golden and silver swirls that formed in her fiery, black orbs.

His heart ached, as he watched the beast before him break down and turn into a living creature with feelings and emotions. How had he done what he did all those years and why? Realisation hit him, knowing that he had done unforgiveable things and all just for the approval of his father.

He tore a living, breathing creature apart while it was still awake and feeling, all just so he could hear his father praise him. Not once had he considered his subjects circumstances they were just stepping stones he used to get to his position. It didn't matter if they were in pain or died because he was so blindsided by his own goals and plans.

'When did this all start? When did I become such a monster? It feels like it's been forever, but at one point I felt warmth and compassion. I just can't remember why and when I try it hurts too much I can't breathe. I'm sure everything changed with her death. When my once bright and innocent world lost all colour and became completely grey and pointless...mum'
