"Ooops" Ebony flinched, watching the door she had just kicked open go flying across the grass, smashing into the side of a tree.
"W-w-w-what happened!" Ghosty squealed, rushing out of his door and running towards the tree to see his smashed door.
"Umm, about that... I thought it was a bit more sturdy than that to be quite honest, haha... sorry car" awkwardly patting the roof of the car she just destroyed. Heading forward, she pulled Ghosty by the collar dragging him away from the completely ruined door of his car as he wept like a baby.
'Wow... Who knew his car meant so much to him. I should have just threatened to blow up his car up instead of him and his family. How pathetically sad...'
Marching to the door, Ebony began to feel the discomfort of heels for the first time in her life. Realising they were unconventional shoes, especially now while she was executing her plan, she kicked them of into one of the rose bushes along the front side of the house.
Chucking him onto the doorstep, that had a cheesy 'home~ sweet~ home' mat on it, she pulled him urgently. Sighing at what was to come, he reluctantly lifted his fisted hand about the chap the door.
"ohhh for f*ck sake, hurry uuppp! If you haven't realised, we don't really have much time to be wasting. Now hurry up and chap the damn door!" she rushed, staring him daggers that warned him it wasn't just his life at stake.
Knocking on the door, he grabbed the handle opening it quickly, before shoving Ebony and himself inside.
Looking at the porch floor, Ebony could see dozens of different shaped and sized shoes littered all over the place. Flitting her eyes around the place, noticing how there were a variety of small potted cactuses placed on the window sills, she headed onwards into the hallway.
Ghosty followed behind, after he flicked his shoes of into the bundle of other shoes. Pausing, Ebony glanced left and right wondering which room the go into or if she should take the stairs that were located in front of her.
"Well..." she started, looking at Ghosty expectantly.
"Ohh right! This way" he directed her and himself into the room on the left, entering a large room that had glass windows all along the side of the wall letting in sunlight.
A long oak table stood at the far end of the room, accompanied with similar oak chairs that were placed on all sides. On the floor closer to them was a sheeps skin rug with a couple of leather sofas on either side, both facing the TV next to the fireplace
Overall, Ebony thought it was a snugg little room for Ghosty and his family to live in while she was busy suffering in a dark and damp cell. There for sure wasn't the bitter smell of blood clinging to her senses here, instead a fresh scent of pine filled the room.
"Nice place you got here Ghosty." she commented, walking over the one of the leather sofas next to the fireplace.
"O-oh thank yo-"
"Right! So let's get down to business shall we. Where are they? Your family I mean. Cause they sure as hell aren't nearby, or I would hear them. So tell me-" cut off from her interrogation, she listened to a car driving over the rocks outside to which a sinister smile crept upon her face.
" please- don't... " he pleaded, watching her excited grin grow at the idea interrogating his family.
" Don't what Ghosty? Kill them? Ha! I'm not gonna do anything I didn't tell you I was gonna do earlier on. So you don't have to panic Ghosty. You are and will remain my only hostage, hmm." she gleamed as her eyes closed, forming two thin crescents that said she held all the power in the situation.
Falling into the leather chair, she crossed her leg over the other getting comfortable before she questioned his family. Intently listening to the nearing footsteps on the driveway getting closer to the door.
Jumping up unexpectedly, she strolled over to Ghosty, whacking him over the back of the head with her hand. Passing out into her ready arms, she dragged him over to one of the wooden chairs, listening carefully to the two sets of footsteps heading over to the front door.
She sighed in relief at them not noticing the car door lying next to their tree or it would make things a little more complicated. Sitting her ready hostage down onto the chair, she grabbed the top of the chair. Scratching it across the surface of the wooden floor into a wide space between the dining room area and the small living room area.
'This should be good enough and just in time as out awaited guests arrive.'
Clacking along the floorboards into the room was a woman, roughly the same height as ebony, dressed in a flowing dress, decorated with flowery patterns. Holding her hands was a small boy in a school uniform who, at the sight of Ebony, hid behind her defensively.
Haulting at the sight of Ebony and her husband, passed out in a chair, she gasped in shock. Fear quickly spread across her face as she looked down at her son who was sharing the same confused and panicked expression as herself. Stepping backwards with her son she attempted to make an escape before the stranger in front of her attacked.
"Hello Mrs. Swan. It's a pleasure to finally meet you, hehe" Ebony rolled of her tongue, smirking at their expected behaviour. Knowing their cautious behavior she warned them not to make a run for it, but just as she did both of them turned and sprinted towards the porch door. Just as they made it into the small space between the hallway and the front door, they were met by the stranger girl's face.
"Look I warned you not to run. So go back inside. And. Sit. The. F*ck. Down." Losing her patience, Ebony growled at them. Stalking forward,as they hurriedly ran off back into the living room area, placing themselves onto the leather seats.
"W-w-why are you doing this to us? I don't understand... Is it for money?" the woman stuttered while hugging her son protectively from the stranger walking towards them, who had already knocked out her husband.
"Well, hello to you too Mrs. Swan. Don't worry I'm only gonna ask you a few questions. If you fail to answer truthfully, I'll start amputating things from your husbands body. If it gets to the point that he is beyond saving I'll start on your son. Understood? "Ebony simply commanded, crossing her arms behind her back innocently.
" Y-yeah-Yes. What questions though? I don't understand, what information could I possibly have for you I only work as an assistant teacher not anything important like my husband." She began rambling under the immense pressure exuding from the threatening presence in the room.
" Ohh and what exactly is your husbands 'important' job?" gritting out the question, Ebony stiffened at her use of words to describe her husbands occupation.
'What about torturing things is important?'
"Well... He's a doctor. Right?" she replied cautiously, afraid she may answer the questions wrongly.
"Is that what he told you? And what exactly do you think his job includes as part of his duty?" unconvinced by the womans response she needed to ask more questions. To be one hundred percent sure, that this woman had absolutely no idea of the monster that was her husband.
"Y-yes. He told me that's what he does. W-wait what is this about? What don't I know?" the woman panicked, tightening the hold on her trembling son.
"Just answer the damn questions!" losing her patience, Ebony clenched her hands whilst glaring at the two who were making her out to be the enemy.
"I-I don't know what he does at work, I've only been a few times. It just looked like a more advanced research center and when I asked him if he was important...He told me he was a private doctor! I mean, he was earning a lot of money! Believing him wasn't really an issue and it's not like he has lied to me before. Why are you doing this!?" confused and stressed, the woman began crying.
'For real, urghh. You'd think I was the torturer and they were the victims right now the way they're behaving. SH*T! This isn't what I expected, I thought they would know. Aren't your family important to you Ghosty. I thought the only ones you'd be your true self around would be these people but even they have to face your facade. It's really... Pitiful. '
"OK, OK I believe you. Please stop crying I'm not gonna hurt you. OK?" Ebony softened her expression, seeing the two holding each other and crying.
"R-really? Y-your not?" the woman whimpered, stroking her sons golden hair.
Putting her hands up in a sign of peace, Ebony walked forward plopping herself onto the couch opposite. She watched as the two unraveled from each others arms an stared at her suspiciously with tear stained faces.
"Nope! But your husbands a different matter. He was dead from the second he helped to murder my family and imprison me for torturing under the pretense of 'research'." watching as there reddened faces began to pale at the gruesome truth, Ebony sighed.
"You can say your goodbyes later, I still need him for something. He stole my precious thing and I presume he'll know exactly where it is..." trailing off, Ebony began muttering things under her breath in a daze.
"Killing? Imprisoned? T-toture?" the woman began stumbling as she glanced over at the person she had given her heart to, as though he were replaced by a monster. Looking back, she ran her eyes over Ebony in scrutiny unsure as to believe a stranger over husband.
" I know what you're thinking, 'there's no marks or scars on her'. But let me tell you... us werewolves don't really scar-" Pausing Ebony looked over at the doubtful set of eyes looking at her, "you don't believe me, do you?"
"H-huh? I-I... " the woman began stumbling as she didn't know what to say.
"Well, I don't mind showing as long as you keep it a secret and dont run off screaming... Not like there's anybody to go off screaming to anyway. You live in the middle of nowhere. How perfect!" smirking, Ebony began walking over to glass doors. Opening them slightly as she glanced back waiting for their reply.
"Sh-showing? I don't understand..." the woman stood up defensively, hiding her son behind her.
"Well then come here and I'll help you understand. Maybe you'll understand why your husband felt the need to dissect a five year old child so much." Ebony grunted, waving them to come outside.
Guilt swept over the woman as she reluctantly followed the girl into the garden. As if he were a chick, the son closely scampered after. Standing next to his mother as they watched the girl remove the red hat from her head and untie her shining white hair that glistened in the sunlight like strands of snow.
"You don't mind if I rip this, right?" Ebony asked, not really bothered if there was a response or not.Noticing that they were in fact her clothes, the woman lowered her head in embarrassment and shook her head.
Jolting up at the sound of bones cracking, both mother and son went pale as their eyes widened at the sight in front of them. Small gulps and gasps could be heard as they watched the girl change into a seven foot wolf before their eyes.
Shocked, the woman froze in fear as she had already made the assumption that the girl was an unstable mental person. Refusing to say anything offensive in fear she would end up like her husband and leave her son parent less, she sucked up the little courage she had left to speak.
"I... I... I d-don't understand. What?" speechless, the woman fell to the floor as her son passed out onto the grass beside her. Turning back into her human form as to prevent the woman from also fainting, Ebony strolled towards her.
"You look a little pale. I guess you weren't expecting me to actually turn into a wolf despite me saying so, huh." Ebony crouched down in front of the frozen woman, who struggled to piece together a word nevermind a response to her question.
A tear crept from the corner of the woman's eye's in shock, fear and panic. At what, Ebony didn't know. Thinking it might be herself, Ebony stroked away the tear as if to calm the timid woman down.
"Shh... It's OK."
