Bree planted on top of a cliff her feet seated on the ground without anything disconnecting her from mother earth, the subtle wind pushing the scents of all the people mixing into nature she looked out over the pristine green of different kinds that included fields, trees, plants, and everything that made her home. Her home. Her home indeed which was Redloslds. The Golden Fields. Absolutely magnificent cultivated by the hands of her ancestors and the ancestors of all the tribes in Redsolds joined to create. As well as her father. The Alpha King of Redloslds, one important figure to city. Holding his position against the Lion King. Both tribes not on the greatest terms. Equally looking for their rightful dominance, to prove who was the better option to lead. The people couldn't decide divided choose both as their leaders.
But today, she would take the throne for herself.
The ritual would be held today, this day where she would take leadership.
From a child she knew this, growing up training until the last bone in her body ached. Naturally born a fortified strong alpha, she dreamed of this day. It wouldn't be easy because she had six muscular brute brothers who would also be competing against her. Each for their own reasons for the throne, but especially because they did not want to be humiliated by their little baby sister. A female never had claimed nor attempted to claim the throne. She would be the first, and hopefully not the last. She would be lying if she said she wasn't nervous. Going against her brothers and her father. Almost impossible.
Then the image of a massive handsome chiseled golden eyes man flashed in her mind. Her cheeks flared up red. Curse her for think about that now. No cursed her for feeling that at all. Something about him lingered in her belly. Damn you Rhys. Rhys was the Lion King, her rival. The man she grew up having to be better at then anything and everything. But should have hated at the same time because of their family on going history of competing.
No she would have to win. Because the king of lions would be there, and she had to show she was no less than he was.
Glancing back at her city, the sun illuminated even the darkest places. To provide aid and strength to those who need it. But her lucky star was the moon, even though it pale in comparison. The silvery round figure in the sky was indebted to her being. Hopefully all the fates would be on her side.
Please. She thought walking away as the sole of her feet found stable on the uneven ground, attempting to find some release for her nerves.
You can do this.
You can do this.
You can do this, Bree. She thought to herself.
Easy for you to say. You don't have to defeat six of your brothers. A mocking voice came through. Oh yes her little devil on her shoulder said.
Oh hush you. The angel said.
No, you don't know what it is to face your brothers and your father. All to win the crown. The little devil that looked like Bri replied.
It's not impossible, though she is still an alpha." The angel insisted as the devil agreed.
Hey, I'm not saying impossible. I saying it sounds like a funny suicide mission!" The devil laughed as Bree looked at both of them.
None of you are helping." Bree stated as she crossed her arms.
" Sorry!" The devil disappeared. " Good Luck!" The angel followed.
Going onward even the deepest part of her wolf never this situation was going to be the biggest challenge of her life.
She bumped into something hard and rigid but she had no time to properly do anything. " I'm sorry." Bree apologized without looking as her mind pondered. While the man just kept staring at her.
" You're not even going to look at me." His deep baritone voice called out, a voice too familiar. The one she loved to hate. Stopping her in her tracks as she wished to go on however she didn't want the council on her ass for not acknowledging the king so she swallowed her pride and turned around placing a hip on her hand.
She smiled vivaciously hoping he would give her a pass for it, but probably not. Flipping her red locks back, " I'm sorry your Majesty didn't see you there." Bree said nonchalantly trying to sound a bit sweet so he could fall for her hypnotic looks but he was the most sought man after. The one and only Rhys accompanied with two other men.
He gave a light chuckle, one that sounded like he enjoyed their interaction. " I'm not small, to go unseen." Rhys noted as Bree eyes lingered on his physique. Of course he wasn't. He was the most massive, if not the hugest man in Redloslds. Wearing his fur lions mane over his broad shoulders always displayed as the muscles flexed even when relaxed. His sun kissed skin radiated as his proud lion self. Perfect chiseled abs that carried some scars went to his Adonis belt signaled down to his nether region covered by a piece of golden linen sometimes fur. " I wonder how big it is?" Bree pondered biting her lip. A light simmered in her eyes as Rhys caught it.
" See something you like.'' Rhys cockly voiced as Bree snapped out her thoughts and rolled her eyes. A man so full of himself. But what could she expect he was a lion. King of the Jungle, he believed.
" I'm actually tired of seeing your face." Bree lied, he was damn sexy and she knew that. But she couldn't have such feelings. So she was in denial.
He perked his brow. It was pretty usual for any woman to deny how incredibly overwhelming masculine he was. However, she just had to.
Another man behind him spoke up. One that Bree had usually see accompany him, his best friend and mostly advisor the tall blonde. " Respect our king or-"
" Or what?" Bree interrupted him as she waited to see what kind of threaten he would pursue, " May I remind you he is your king not mine. My king is my father, and I am the Princess. So tell me what do you plan exactly to do?" She glared at the taller man who seemed no danger to her as he closed his mouth as Rhys placed his hand up.
Quickly turning her gaze back onto him as if two magnets attracted to each other. " Nothing. Nothing will happen to you I guaranteed it." Rhys claimed as she unfolded her arms and tucked a piece of hair behind her ears looking like submitting. " Besides, where are you going that you head is in the clouds?"
" If you must know today I'm taking the throne." She said proudly.
Rhys creased his forehead as if he didn't think it were impossible. He remained silent, then found some words, " You want to be Queen?" He questioned almost in disbelief.
She nodded, " Of course, I believe Redloslds needs a fresh voice amongst these males." She added emphasis on her last words, as many males believed it was a mans world.
" Look at the conniving she-wolf." He bellowed with a followed exasperated laugh.
Bree mocked as she used the same idiotic tone. Which made the lions and his guards pausing gaze at her. " I might be a conniving woman but at least I'm not a beast without a mate!" She spit at him so it would burn the depth of his ego. His shrewd lion king ego. He squinted her eyes at her.
" What about you old wrench." He attempted to fight back.
" A woman doesn't always need a man, but a man always needs a woman." Bree retorted as the three men eyed her wanting to pounce on her but she just gave them a free caring smirk. " Anyways, I better get going. Today is important day for me, your Majesty. So gotta go. Bye." She dismissed herself but being dismissed formal swaying her hips side to side as the men stared.
