Bree
For her family.
For herself.
To survive.
The only reasons that she need to continue. The rush that pumped through her veins with uttering excitement, the freedom of knowing what to do. What she had to do. The instinct running free and wild.Trusting herself. Believing in herself. Her thick black lashes fluttering open revealing the silverish gold color held within them. Her father mouth fell open following the crowds. The adrenaline rushing through her that the pain seemed nothing as she flashed over with her claws slashing his bare chest over and over as he threw her onto the ground pinning her down as she found the strength to overcome his and she appeared in the dominant position as he lay beneath her, in a submissive one. Her hands not wasting a moment to grip around his neck, pressuring down! " Submit!" She barked as the strength radiated off her hands.
The sweat dripped down her head, the animal inside of her wanting to rip his head off. Wanting to end it all here and now. A force that entered her magnifying her power. Gripping tighter as the red fluid drew from his neck. Seeing the blood draw drew some satisfaction within her. He scratched against her clasp as he rose his head from the ground alone to be met back with the floor that made a loud thud as he gasped.
Who does he think he is?
Look at him now, all weak and pitiful.
Let's kill him. Taunting voice spoke in her mind, never before heard, Bree didn't even know they were there but for some reason she felt compelled to listen. Not from her will, but something else. She gritted her teeth nearing his neck.
" Bree! DON'T!" A voice yelled to familiar she had recognized since she was inside of her womb. She slightly loosened her hold as she turned her head to meet her mother's. Her eyes full with tears, her face contorted splattered red as she held onto her brothers. Her brother's face from the youngest to the oldest face mix an emotion of shock and worry.
She shut her eyes trying to focus on the voice.
" What are you doing kill him!"
" no." Bree internally responded. " I can't."
" Kill him! Don't you want to be the Queen!"
" Yes, but not like this. Why do I have to kill my father?" Bree questioned in confusion.
" Because that it's how it's always been and always be." The voice laughed darkly. " Kill him!Kill him! Kill him!" The voice taunted repeated until the it echoed through her brain.
Brianna shook her head over and over. This couldn't be possible. She could not do such a thing. " NO!' She yelled forcely.
" What?"
" I said NO!"
" YOU HAVE TO OBEY ME! I AM YOUR-"
" NO! NO!NO! I MAKE MY OPEN DECISION AND I SAID NOOO." She said in a voice full of conviction as the other voice broke.
Bree fluttered her eyes open, whatever it was, she had snapped out of it. Her silver golden eyes returning to their normal hue, " What the hell was that?" She muttered as she ceased her forehead. The realization she was about to kill someone. Kill her father. Her beloved father. She loved her father, she would never do anything to hurt him. She was his little girl, yet here she was gazing down at him, the color from his ran almost gone, the blood spread throughout his body, him fighting back for his own life. She didn't want this, but this was the only way. " Don't make me do this!" Bree shouted as she looked down upon her father wanting to shed tears but swallowed them back. She had to win. She needed to win, but she couldn't kill him. She couldn't kill her beloved father. No. She could not be a queen knowing she was a murder.
With much reluctance but fortitude she spoke, " Submit!" Meeting her father's blue grey eyes full of confidence yet sorrow. " I love you dad..." She began pausing to find the right words, if they were any, " But just because I love you does not mean I will give up. Giving up will mean I am giving up on you, mom, my brothers, and myself. So..... just... know that.."
Her head wanted to hang low, but she kept at eye level, not too high because this wasn't about pride. Not about pride. Or the throne. Or even what she had originally thought to prove her strength, but it was believe in herself. Everything lacked importance when it came to it. Because if you don't believe in yourself who else will.
"You're finally ready." He half chuckled finally speaking , turning his ocean eyes away from her as he flipped his hand up signaling his defeat. The crowd gasped wildly. Something in her exploded like out of the lion's den she had appeared. What?
She blinked breathlessly.Without thought releasing her claws from his bloodied neck as she back away. Her legs shake but she somehow someway found the muscles to stand still. Finding balance as she scanned the crowd, her eyes looking for everybody and somebody. Until finally meeting a certain golden eyes that held a grin from ear to ear, standing tallest among st the lions. Drawing a soft smile on her lips.
" All hail the Queen!" Her father declared as she turned her head gazing down at him. He was kneeling. On one knee, bowing to her. She blinked. Taking her hand, kissing her knuckles along with a soft smile appeared on his face. Her mother, her brothers, and everyone else knelled. " All hail the Queen!" They repeated as her heart swelled with pride. She had done it.She had really done it! And then it is as something in her exploded. Something that reached her stomach and she wanted to let the world hear. She opened her mouth as she let out a commanding victorious howl. One that quiet everyone in the stadium, louder, stronger than ever before.
As it was shortly followed by a multiple of celebratory howls filling up the amphitheater. Then the drums played the melodies of triumph conquering the sounds of the people, her people. Signifying her win, a new victor, a new era.
Suddenly being pulled into a bear hug by her father, she slight yelped as she hugged him back. " I'm sorry, I'm so sorry dad. I never ever meant to harm you. I didn't know what came over me. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. " She apologized with so much sincerity, that she wanted to cry just thinking of what she had done to her father.
Pulling away from the sweet embrace, observing his open wounds up close they looked worse than she had remembered as he placed a hand on her shoulder, " Don't ever be sorry, my queen." He affirmed flashing his canines as Bree nodded.
My Queen.
Queen.
Queen. Now she was finally a queen, no longer the daughter princess of the King Lucien. But in every right a Queen.
Then stepping out her place a dark tanned tall slim but full breasted woman with curled midnight black hair trailed forward. No older than thirty or thirty five but in actually was an unbelievable three hundred. Dressed in a multi-color feather dress, Redlosdls orator and seer, my adopted godmother, Aerin. Standing right beside her the words flowed out her mouth, " Since there is a new victor, the first ever female queen." She emphasized with pride out of her bird heart. " There must be a celebration and the introduction ceremony held tonight at sunset! Please everyone hurry out so we must redecorate the place." She wore a broad smile as everyone followed turning her. " Congratulations, my dear. You did it!"She squealed as she brought her head into her chest.
" Um thanks Aerin." Bree thanked slightly blushing as she knew Aerin didn't do anything on purpose, it just she was so short compared to her that is where her face always fell as she pushed away.
Jumping from there places her brothers jumped as they ran over as Aerin took a step back. Jackson and her mother being the last ones to arrive as he always awaited for their mother as he walked with her arm in his. Bombarding her with comments.
" I can't believe you won!"
" You did it, Bree!"
" Oh my god, you're queen!"
" Congrats."
" I can't believe I lost to you."
"It was better you than Alaric."
All their voices in conjunction, her eyes faded as she attempted to catch up as her father said her confused face stepping in, " Boys, give your sister a little space to digest. Or just talk one at a time." He suggested as they all laughed.
Suddenly as if they flew almost all of the females, including her mother appeared with an eerie grin on their face. " Hey, guys what's going on?" She questioned clueless.
" We have to get you ready!" Cecil, her aunt spoke up.
" Yep, you cannot go looking like that, girl." Her best friend Summer added. " Especially with the Lion King there you need to look flawless."
Bree chuckled as she ran her hand through her hair, " Well, of course I was going to wash up." She mindlessly answer.
" No. No. You need a makeover. This is no regular occasion." Her mother said determinate.
Brianna crossed her arms protecting herself like a baby, " Just what exactly are you going to do to me?" She responded cautiously.
" You'll see." The females announced in unison as they grabbed her like a rag doll and carried her away.
" Wait!Wait a minute!" Bree yelped as she attempted to walk free as she called out, " Dad! Jackson! Alaric! Weston!Damian! Kai! Zirc! Anyone! Males! Help!" She pleaded as she fiddled.
" Sorry sweetie, your mom has the final say!" Her father insisted as he brushed off an responsibility.
" Yeah, my nose is broken so sorry Bree!" Jackson followed as he rubbed his neck.
" True and I need to tend to my arm that you almost broke!" Alaric added as the other brothers looked away smiling.
" Ugh!" Bree groaned as she rolled her eyes being whisked away with the herd of woman being restless as she gave in.
