New House, New Room, New… Everything
As the car rolled to a stop, this time Sandra was a lot less enthused about getting out. In fact she was sluggish about it, and was the last to get out. The car ride was only 30 minutes but after the past twelve days of driving her butt couldn't take anymore. The house they arrived at was very modern. It was angular and open, with lots of large windows and balconies. Man was it different from their home in The North.
She walked up the steps and into the house, her parents had already unpacked the living room using their magic, and had started in the kitchen. There was a large cream sofa and a cute brick fireplace. It looked modern but there was a random christmas decoration strewn about in almost every corner of the room. (no doubt her mom's doing, Martha was always the one that loved the decorations and bright colors) She decided that since she'd be of no use (her powers have yet to flourish) she'd go explore. The house was open plan, with a large livingroom and diningroom. It had glass and wood spiral steps up onto the second story of the house. She walked up and found that Emma was already plotting out her room. Which was in the center of three rooms and was the farthest from the stairs. Assuming that the largest bedroom was for her parents, she claimed the one by the stairs. It was a normal sized bedroom, and already adorned an empty bed.
After looking around she unpacked her unneeded things. Like books and the toys from her childhood, but hesitated when considering going through her clothes. When moving she had to take everything, but she didn't need all of her clothes for the dorm. I don't need all of this.. She decided to only take the cutest of her clothes, and put the rest in the closet. She sat down on the bed. Tomorrow is a new day, She thought. New friends, new school, new classes… new enemies.. The thought made her shiver. She hated making enemies, but also understood that in life you're not going to get along with everyone.
After such a long day she was exhausted. And after so much driving it was nice to sit in a bed for once. She turned out the light and then she layed down, and went to sleep. I think I'm ready.
That night she dreamt about her new school, and all of the friends that she might make.
