Classes and Lunch
After lunch we used the schedules given to us to make our way to our block classes. My first block was Languages, second was world history. I slowly noticed a pattern. No class was meant for one culture or language (ex. English class or american history) every class had translators and taught as much about the world as they could, including as many countries as possible.
Third was science, then lunch started. I met Evalin in the same spot as i did for breakfast, but this time she brought some friends. On her hip was the girl from my dorm, who was introduced as Hannah, and behind them was a gorgeous looking girl with long chocolate brown kinky hair. She adorned a peach colored headband and shirt and autumn themed floor length skirt. Everything about her radiated the same air as that of royalty. When she walked she practically glided.
All three had their lunches and sat with me. Honestly it caught me off guard that shy Hannah had taken such a liking to our perky Evalin. I also noticed that the other girl, whom I'd yet to learn the name of, was eating in almost pure silence. She seemed so engrossed in Evalin and Hannahs conversation that I doubt she even minded. I then decided to try and converse with her myself.
"So, how's your morning classes going?" I asked awkwardly. She turned to me and her brown eyes met mine.
"Are you talking to me?" She asked. I nodded. "Oh, they are doing well. I've had home ec. science, and math so far." I nodded and told her my schedule, notably the other girls turned to listen. Turns out they all three met in math, and clicked together well. I had my next class with evalin, being home ec, then had my last class of the day with the new girl (I have yet to learn her name haha) so at least I had those two classes with people I knew.
Soon lunch had ended, and I walked with Evalin to the Home ec. Room. Upon opening the door I got wafted in the face with the smell of fresh baked cookies and something else that I couldn't quite put my finger on. The room itself was rather large and had the back wall lined with countertops and stove. On the closest part of the wall to the door was a long narrow table with seats for the students. The wall the door was on was markerboard, and up against it sat a rather large table covered in hearts and roses. An odd decoration. I thought. Now that I'm looking, the entire room was decorated with roses and hearts. Everything from oven mitts, streamers, and wall hangings to the eraser filled cup on her desk. All of the students sat at the long table and waited patiently for the tardy bell to ring. Which is funny, the teacher was the only one who appeared to be late.
The woman who opened the door was exactly who you'd expect. Lady Valentine. She was a petite deep skinned young woman who wore large heels to fix the hight difference. Her Victorian style dress was decorated with cute Sweets and large pink ribbons.
she stood before her desk and greeted us with a sweet wave and a smile.
"Eavening students. I'm Valentine but you may call me Val. I'm your home economics teacher. I hope we become good friends!"
