New student
'Okay so this school is popular… ' It didn't matter where I looked, there were people. I could never have imagined this many people in a school meant for holidays. There were so many different cultures, all in one building, it was almost intimidating. I took a couple shy steps forward then, suddenly, something bumped into me. Startled and quickly snapping back to my senses I turned to the culprit. There in front of me stood a tall, pale, purple haired girl with long bunny ears. She had an aura of kindness and smelled like flowers.
"Oh my goodness hun I did not mean to bump into you like that!" she exclaimed as she brushed herself off. "I just wasn't paying attention."
I lifted a hand to reassure her "No its okay, I wasn't paying much attention either"
She looked me over
"You must be the daughter of our new principals! You have the same fur lined clothes and frostbitten cumplection they do!" She jumped circles around me and grabbed my hands.
"We have a meeting in the auditorium before we get assigned to our dorms. You just have to come sit with me!" She flashed me a smile and pulled my hand lightly.
"What about our bags?" I gestured to where they sat on the floor.
"Oh those? They stay against the wall here, they will be sent up to our rooms later!"
She flashed me yet another smile and tugged my arm to which I nodded, she then proceeded to pull me through the crowded halls and into the auditorium. I was impressed to say the least. It was a large two storied room with golden pillars holding up the second floor. At the very front was a stage that was cast in shadows and had its curtains drawn. I knew without a doubt that my parents would emerge from there later. The girl pulled me to somewhere in the second row, almost in the center of the room and sat me down right next to her. She smiled at me and then fixed her attention to the stage.
"Wait a moment, I never asked your name." I said, turning to her.
"Oh gosh, I didn't ask yours either," she laughed "I'm Evalin bunny, daughter of the easter bunny!" she grinned wide, revealing dimples and sparkly clean teeth.
"I'm Sandra, daughter of Santa Clause" I smiled back warmly. Her ears perked up and her smile enlarged.
"I knew it, I knew you were the daughter of Santa Clause! You look so much like him!" she rolled her shoulders back proudly.
Just then the lights clicked off and I realised that the auditorium was almost completely full. I turned back to the stage and as I did spotlights shone on the bottom center of the curtains. They pulled open suddenly and there stood my parents. I smiled warmly, they looked so elegant standing in the center of the stage in their business suits.
"Greetings everyone, and welcome to Holiday Academy!" His voice was powerful and deep, even without the mic I'm sure anyone in the room could have heard it clearly. "Now as you all may know, Mrs. Clause and I are your new vice principal and principal. We hope that everyone has a good, safe year. We are proud to represent all of you and we promise to take care of this beautiful school. Now Mrs.Clause, will you please show them their assigned dorm numbers? I must rush to my office to finish setting things up before classes start, please forgive me everyone." He flashed a humble smile before handing her the mic and walking off stage.
From my understanding the school is set up with four wings in the shape of a compass, with the classes and larger rooms in the center. Evalin and I being different seasons can't be roomed together, so I'll be put with someone else. However after school hours we are still allowed to visit.
We looked at eachother with sad smiles as my mother assigned me to my room, along with someone named Hannah. I walked up the stairs with her, but she never said a word to me. She wasn't rude though, she just seemed shy. She had long dirty blonde hair, and slightly tanned skin. She adorned a long skirt that came to mid calf in a golden color. She had a clean white elbow length shirt with golden trimming. She was absolutely beautiful. At last, after having walked up many flights of stairs we came to our dorm room. Room 358.
