Whatever was in the sky, it was scaring everyone that was in the city. Snort had resurfaced since some of his soldiers had came back. He figured they could watch the fort while he went on an investigation. The truth was he was worried about Marcus and wouldnt stop worrying until he was back home. Also, he wanted to see if anymore of those monsters had shown up and he wanted to find the origin point of whatever was flying up in the sky. It had to back to its own home base at some point, right? Everything had a home base. Well, a home. That is what he refereed to as a 'Home Base' it was the military lingo that he had picked up. When your underground and all you have is military books and vhs tapes. Yeah, in his room he had an old crt television and a vhs machine. Think they called those tape machines back in the 1990s. He had his jeep concealed by a rather large bush and he had grabbed a shotgun and he was wearing a x strap over his chest that was filled with shotgun shells also he had a bullet belt that was filled with shotgun shells too. So if he ran into anything, he would be ready. He was very cautious in this brand new world. Also in the back of his jeep was a bunch of MRE-styled-food. Pretty much just add hot water and dig the fuck in.
Whatever was flying above the skyline just made a sound β it sounded like a mix of a sqwak and a roar. Then he felt something like a giant gust of wind. What had happened? Did that thing call more of its kind over to him? Was that the giant gust of wind that he felt? He watch some of the tents try to fly away but they were stuck in the ground with metal rods. What the hell was going on? Maybe finding out what these creatures were should be his mission. No, his men were more important than some morbid curiosity. They had enough fire power in the underground anyways. If this place did get attacked it would be well defended and he didnt leave this place without any people in it. A few of his men had came back from their missions. So it had bodies in it. Also he had a feeling that something was watching him and it wasnt those things in the air. It felt like it was something on the ground and he had looked around and there were none of those chemical zombies around. Could there be more monsters in Chicago? Chicago was turning out to be another hot spot for the paranormal and there was rumors to have a sasquatch in the area. He laughed. Maybe the hairy man could help them with the chemical zombies and all the other things that had shown up in Chicago. Snort climbed into his jeep and drove it out of its hiding spot and hit the road looking for Marcus.

Damian had collected up most of the stuff he needed in the wal-mart, but he saw some shadows on the walls. One of them was him. The other he didnt know it. The outline looked like a hedgehog and all he could hear was a skate board. Could this be the person that lived here? Why would a hedgehog be living in an Wal-mart? Still it was the perfect place to live. Had everything you needed here and he knew this couldn't be the only Wal-Mart in Chicago. This one was just the closest one to him and he didnt feel like putting a lot of miles on the truck and he didnt even know if gas in the city was still there or even worked. If not, he'd have to find away to make gas or something. Thats it. Whomever was stalking him had made its appearance and it was a black hedgehog on a skateboard and he didnt look too happy. He didnt know how he was going to explain this one and he hated talking to people anyways. Maybe this guy would understand why he was here if he explained it to him, yeah, that might work or he might just get attacked. He had never meet another hedgehog or another person in this city.
Akito looked at the person that was standing before him and he got off of his skateboard flipped it up and held it in his right hand. Before he came this far, he decided to go get his skateboard because it would be faster getting around that way. Was this person trying to seek refuge from the chemical zombies? If that was the case. They could be friends. He just put on a mean-looking-face because he didnt want to be taken advantage of and he wasnt really that mean. He had to look and act mean so he could survive and he hated it. It would be interesting to see how all of this played out. He was sick and tired of those chemical zombies trying to break into his home, that is why he spent most of his time watching the security cameras. Ironically, today was one of those days he wasnt watching them as close as he should. Hell, something could of already slipped into the store and he wouldnt know it.
Akito looked at Damian. "What are you doing here?" He sounded harsh, he had to sound harsh and he wanted to hear what the duck had to say.
Damian blinked and held his sawed off shot-gun at his side. "Just trying to get some supplies. Every store in town has been hit pretty hard. For some reason I thought this place wouldnt have gotten hit as hard and I was right. Looks like you are pretty stocked up on shit."
Akito nodded. "Yeah, we are." He was studying Damian and by his body language he deduced that he wasnt a threat or one of those chemical zombies or mutants roaming the city.
