Big Tex was amused with what was happening outside. The world had gone to hell, he was fine in his tower. It was on lock-down, no one was getting in or out. So he was pretty much safe. He was watching the monitors and he saw that there was movement outside. Very little movement, it was still movement though. He did wonder what those things in the sky were. They were above the skyline and were big enough to make wind and be a menace. Could they be some sort of protector? Or were they even more paranormal creatures for the city? He never believed in such things until the chemical zombies had started to come around. He was comfy in his over priced chair and next to him on an end table next to the chair a box of cigars and ontop of the box was a cigar cutter and a fancy lighter, he moved the lighter and cigar cutter off of the box of cigars. He opened the box, grabbed a cigar and then grabbed the cutter and with the cutter he snipped off the end of the cigar and put the cutter back on the end table and then grabbed the lighter, put the cigar in his mouth and the flipped open the lighter and lit the end of the cigar and then started to puff on it. With every puff the end of the cigar would turn a cherry red. As he puffed he put the lighter back on the end table.
As he was smoking his cigar he looked down at his monitor. This time it was a different camera. This camera was situated near the very tip-top of the building. He watched the black mass fly a cross his monitor screen and with that he nearly dropped his cigar out of his mouth. He blinked as he continued to watch it. When the black mass came on the screen, he got a feeling of darkness and dread. What was this feeling? He never felt this way before. He was rich, the rich didnt feel this way. They had everything mapped out and planned for them and then when the black mass disappeared from the monitor screen. He felt normal again, he felt like himself. He didn't like that feeling. It made him feel vulnerable. Again, he didnt like feelings like that. Normal people were supposed to feel like that, not him.
Big Tex starred at the screen. "That was really weird." He didnt really want to think about what had happened. He was going to finish this cigar and then grab a bite to eat and then maybe workout. Hitting things might make him feel better. What other creatures were going to show up in this city? He knew the town borders were not closed and maybe they should be. He laughed for a bit. That was a controversial stance, just like Donald Trump wanting to close the borders and people crying it was racist.

Amelia was following the black mass β she honestly thought this was a bad idea. Well, her life was filled with a lot of bad ideas. This might be an interesting story one day. You know, to tell the kids and the grand kids. She laughed at the idea of kids. She didnt think she would ever kids it just might not be in he cards. Oh well. She has been single most of her life. She has had a few boyfriends, nothing lasted. It was because they were all assholes and used her for stuff. Sex, Money and sometimes drugs. She didnt do them herself, she just knew people that could get them. Yeah, she was one of THOSE girls. If you could find people the stuff they needed, you became more of a use to people. She wanted to be useful to people, the right people and she always found the wrong people. One day she would land in the right group. She looked to the sky and she had lost the black mass. What the fuck. She was in the middle of the road and in apart of Chicago she didnt know. Maybe it wasn't even Chicago. There were a lot of cities that surrounded Chicago. Amelia sighed and her motorcycle was idling in the middle of the road.
Amelia shook her head. "I don't see how I could lose something that big."
At least she was safe for the time being, there wasn't anything in the area that was trying to kill and eat here. She kinda wondered if that black mass was the reason for all the weird shit that was going on in the city. She didnt know and she felt like she needed to find that out for herself. She was going to need to get going again and she didn't know what she was going to encounter in the road ahead. Adventures were always good, she just wanted adventures that couldn't harm or kill her. She also wondered why that hell hound just vanished into thin air. It was like it wasnt even there. Too many questions and not enough answers. Maybe if she could get a sample of these creatures, she could take it to a lab and get it analyzed. That is if labs still existed. A lot of places were being destroyed and she didnt know how to deal with that and stop it.
She revved the engine up and then took off like a bullet into the distance. The wind did feel good on her face and going through her hair. As she drove she made sure she was aware of her surroundings. No monsters showing up right now. Then she was stopped in her tracks. There was a bridge that had been torn in half. She backed up the bike a few feet and looked at the bridge. Maybe she could jump it. Yeah, that sounded like a GREAT idea. She revved the engine again, her eyes were on the bridge and what was on the other side of it. She was going to do this. Just needed to get up the courage to do so.
