Fate grinned cheekily as she said: "I will make sure to tell your future husband about this too."
"Master!" Jean stomped her feet, her cheeks turning bright red. "Shae, I am borrowing your clothes!"
"They won't fit." Shae replied curtly, causing Jean to feel even more embarrassed. Of course, Shae's clothes wouldn't fit. She was shorter and of a smaller build than Jean.
"Fine, I will go up to my room!" Jean wanted to hurry to get changed, but even though she yelled out what she was going to do, she looked at Fate, waiting for permission. Fate smiled and nodded. Only then did Jean run to the portal but was stopped once more.
"Jean!" Shae yelled out and tossed a crystal-like disk to her. Jean caught it and jumped through the portal.
"Okay, so how do we do this pact thing?" Fate asked now that everything was calm.
"What do you want the contents of the pact to be?" Shae asked.
"Nothing too serious. Just that you will not betray me in any shape or form or hurt any of my people." Fate didn't have any great demands. She simply didn't want people betraying her.
"Okay, I will set it up then." Shae took the vial of soul fluid and opened it up. She then picked up a magic pen and dipped it into the fluid pressing a button at the top, which caused the soul fluid to be sucked inside of it. After she was ready, she began writing in the air in front of her. Glowing words appeared hovering in the air. She wrote out the contents of the contract and signed her name at the bottom before passing the pen over to Fate. "Sign as well. Then we will seal the pact with a drop of blood pressed on to our names."
Fate nodded and signed her name. After which, both Fate and Shae nipped their thumbs and squeezed out some blood, and pushed it onto their names. The words began to glow brightly then began to swirl into a ball of light before splitting and shooting into the space between Shae's and Fate's brow. They both felt something enter into the deepest part of their body. "It's done. From this point on, I can no longer betray you, or I will die."
"Good to know." Fate smiled and stood up. This whole experience had been very stressful. But she was happy now that she had allies. "Ella, I will explain what I need you to do for me later on. For now, you should go back to class. I will meet you at the pod station after classes are through. Also, no more calling me Master, call me Fate from now on."
"Understood, Ma… Fate." Ella said with a smile. She stood up and said her goodbyes, and left.
When Ella was gone, Fate sat where Ella had been sitting across from Shae. "Shae, how hard would it be for you to dig up all the information you can on the Greystones?"
"Shouldn't be too hard. They are only using the Flamethorn family's name to do as they please due to Charles Flamethorn marrying Gizel Greystone. I should have a compiled list of every member of the Greystone family and everything about them, even their daily routines, in about a month." Shae answered. She knew Sergeant Greystone was going to meet a bad end at some point.
"Thanks, I will owe you one. Oh, while I am thinking about it. Are you able to implant an encrypted communications disk into me? I would need to be able to contact you guys, but I do not want my signal being intercepted." Normal humans did not get a communication disk embedded into them and used the old cellular system. Trinities, on the other hand, used an implant that worked the same way as a phone, but it was embedded into the skull and used a different kind of wavelength called a warp wave. Once you sent the number you wanted to call to the implant in your brain, it would then create a microscopic portal that followed the user around, sending a voice transmission directly from the brain to the caller and the receiver through it. This was dubbed warp wave since it warped the information all over the universe with no lag time. It was basically telepathic communication on a universal scale.
"Yeah, I can, but I will need a week to get things set up. Because not only will I need to redo mine, but so will Jean and Ella and whoever else you wish to have one. Currently, we only have the standard implants." Shae explained.
"Alright, that would be a big help. We will need six altogether" Fate felt relieved. If she wanted to communicate with her servants from a long-distance, they would need these implants.
"Master, I am back." Jean hopped through the portal and announced. She walked over to Shae and handed her a crystal-like disk. "Thanks."
"Keep it. This way, I won't need to get up if I am in the middle of something." Shae said and then reached into her pocket and handed Fate the same crystal-like disk. "This disk will allow you to access my portal from any of the floors in this building."
Fate took it and put it in her pocket. "Jean, from now on, call me Fate. If we have you calling me Master outside, people will find something strange."
"Understood. Fate, what should we do about the information put into the trinity database?" Jean asked.
"I have a feeling someone will be contacting me soon. So, for now, we will just go about our daily business. Jean, your stats have gone up and will continue to go up as I grow stronger. With your current skills, you should be fine in the tournament as long as I can level up more. Is there any way to get permission to go off world?" Fate was only at level 2 currently and wanted to hurry and level up. She also had to test what would happen if she ate the hearts of the monsters she killed. She wondered if she could get extra [Status Points] this way.
"I have free access to portal worlds up to two skulls. With your current level, this should be good for the time being. If we want to go to higher skull worlds, we will need to get special permission from the Dean and have a guardian follow us." Jean was excited to know that just by Fate leveling up, she would also grow stronger.
"Alright, we will start with the lower worlds for now. We should head back. Shae, when everything is ready, tell Jean." Fate said, standing up once more.
"Mmm… I will. You two be careful." Shae also stood up and saw the two out.
Fate and Jean exited the elevator and walked to the dorm's exit. When they got to the door, they saw a young man standing outside, waiting. "It seems the other party is here."
Fate was fully on guard. She did not know who this young man was, but he was staring at them without averting his gaze. As the door opened, he stepped forward and bowed his head. "Dean Li would like to speak with the two of you."
"And if I say I would rather not?" Fate asked, her voice turning cold. She didn't think she could beat this young man, but at the very least, she could try to escape with everything she had.
"Fate Vampiria, I think you understand what this name implies?" The young man answered Fate's question with a question of his own.
Fate let out a sigh and nodded. "Lead the way."
"Fate!" Jean yelled out and pulled Fate behind her. She did not want Fate to get taken away. Fate was now her master. She was willing to die for Fate if it meant Fate would not come to any harm.
"Relax, you two. We mean you no harm. It was the Dean who ordered me to enter your identity into the system." The young man could tell that Jean was getting ready to attack. He knew it would not be good if a fight broke out here.
"Jean, it's fine. Let's go see what the Dean wants. If it is truly him who had the information inputted into the system, then he did something that could have him and his entire family killed, all in order to help me. So if anything, he won't harm us right away at the very least." Fate pulled Jean back and explained.
"You truly are a smart girl." The young man praised.
"I only know enough to keep myself alive. If you will." Fate said, gesturing for the young man to lead the way.
Fate and Jean were brought to the Dean's building to the top floor where the dean's office was located. She had been here before with the last incident concerning the water user girl and her friends. Three more people Fate wanted to take care of. The door opened, and Fate walked in with Jean in tow.
"Good you arrived." Dean Li said as he raised his head but was shocked to see Fate's true appearance. "To think under that messy hair and dirty skin was such a lovely girl."
"You praise me too much, Dean Li. Let's not beat around the bush. Tell me why you are helping me."
