Cleo's POV
You're so stupid Cleo! How did you mess this up?
Rage and disappointment filled my body as I got off of the couch. I had no place to go since I despised both Pansy and Allison who's rooms I had previously stayed in. Tears began to hit the brim of my eyes, my nose developing a burning sensation.
I was leaving the common room, my head low, until an idea struck me.
Blaise Zabini.
My face lit up. Blaise was cute, and pretty nice. I knew him for a while, so maybe he could help me. My legs carried me to the dungeons and down the long winding staircase. A tremendously large black and silver door stood before me with black metal handles on it.
I pulled the double doors open and went inside, when I saw exactly who I wanted to see. Blaise was reading a book in a green arm chair, his chocolate eyes fixated on the pages in front of him. I quietly walked over to the chair next to him and sat myself down.
His eyes met mine, and he gave me a small smirk before closing his book.
"Rosier, long time no see." he said in his deep voice. He got up from his chair and gave me a small hug.
"What brings you back to the Slytherin common room?" he asked.
"Well, nobody seems to like me anymore so...here we are." I joked. Blaise could see right through me, and gave me a sympathetic pat on the shoulder.
"Hey, if you want to you can stay with me." he suggested, his eyes locking with mine. Before me and Draco broke up, me and Blaise were very close friends, spending hours joking around with each other. Of course Draco got jealous sometimes, but I simply ignored it.
We had always flirted with each other, but rather in a joking manner than anything else. But something in the glance we just shared was something more than playful flirting.
It was real.
His eyes were filled with lust as he looked me up and down, moving closer to me. He grabbed my face with his rough hands and brought it closer.
"You're lying if you said we're nothing more than friends." he whispered.
Our lips crashed against one another, our mouths moving together. He picked me up in his arms and ran up a small set of stairs to his room, his breathing heavy.
This might not be Cedric, but at least it's something.
Blaise's POV
I sat at the Slytherin table in the great hall, quietly and calmly eating my breakfast of bacon and eggs. A felt someone sit beside me, and payed no mind to it, thinking it was just one of my friends.
I felt a light kiss on my neck and jumped slightly as I was unaware of who it was. I looked to my side and saw Cleo, a devious look in her bright eyes. I gave her a slight smirk and continued on with my breakfast.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was sitting with my friends in the halls, having our daily chat with each other.
"She's a real beaut that one, isn't she?" my friend Jax remarked. I let out a slight chuckle.
"Yeah, I've had my eye on her for quite a while." I sighed with a dreamy look in my eyes.
"Who knew that Hufflepuff's could be so...so stunning. I find her innocence and love for everything to be so mesmerizing. I want someone I can control, and she is perfect for that." I admitted.
I had wanted Allison all year, but I was too nervous to ask her. And by the time I had finally gotten the courage to ask her, Cedric had snatched her up.
"Yea, but Diggory's got her now, mate." Adrian noted.
"But then again, he can't stay with anyone for more than a year." he laughed, his crooked teeth showing through his lips.
"I'll get her soon, just watch. You'll be seeing more of Chloe soon."
Cleo's POV
As I walked through the hallway on my way to Divination, I heard faint voices around the stone wall. Curious, I walked towards them and heard Blaise. I was so happy to be in a relationship again, to feel happy again and have a place to stay.
I didn't care if I was "vulnerable and desperate", I needed love and I wanted to be loved.
"Yea, I've had my eye on her for quite a while." I heard Blaise say as I crept closer.
After that, the voices were mumbled, and few words could be made out of what they were saying.
My heart stopped.
"Allison...Hufflepuff..." I heard.
My face heated up.
What the hell!
I couldn't believe how idiotic I was. Bouncing from man to man constantly to try and find "the one".
Cedric was the one for me. He might not have recognized it, but it was true. We were meant for each other. I stomped around the corner and saw Blaise laughing with his friends, a cheeky smile on every one of their faces.
"You," I trembled, pointing my finger at him, "fuck you."
Blaise stammered, it was obvious he was at a loss for words. He stumbled off the cobblestone bench in an attempt to follow me, but he was too late. I was already across the hall.
Why is it always me?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Allison was so incredibly annoying. Stealing all of the people I cared about, never feeling remorse. As I ran through the hallway, I had a mission. Anger filled my body from head to toe. I needed to get back at her.
I ran to the quidditch pitch where I knew Cedric would be. Usually at this time of day he was there, admiring the afternoon sky. My feet thumped against the grass as I ran towards him, my shoes getting wet from the dew.
"Cedric," I yelled, "Cedric!" His attention on the sky moved to me, and he stood to his feet. He didn't seem to be very interested in the conversation I was about to start, but I didn't care. I needed Allison to hurt like she hurt me, a pain that couldn't be described. Real, genuine heartbreak.
"I saw Allison and Blaise in the hall." I said, my breathing heavy.
"They we're acting more friendly than usual. In fact, a lot more friendly. They were kissing."
Within a matter of seconds I saw Cedric's face drop.
"I'm so sorry." I comforted.
"Thank you for telling me." he faltered, his eyes glossed over. He jogged off of the quidditch field, his head hung low.
This is perfect. He actually believes me.
Cedric's POV
Tears collected in my eyes when I walked back to my dorm room to get ready, my eyes burning. As I put my clothes for the tournament, thousands of thoughts passed through my mind.
But she loves me. Why would she do this if she loves me?
Small sobs escaped my lips as I got ready, thinking about how Allison helped me study. I didn't even know what I was going to face, and it couldn't terrify me more.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Take a deep breath Cedric, it'll all be ok. Just take a breath, son.
My fathers words played in my head as I stepped to the front of the crowd, my heart racing. My father linked his hand with mine and raised it into the air. His face was beaming with pride and he gave me a large hug. "That's my boy. Now, make Hufflepuff proud." he whispered into my ear.
I saw a flash of blonde hair in the corner of my eye, and looked over to see none other than Cleo. She ran over to me and wrapped her arms around my waist, giving me a tight hug. I slightly loosened as she did it, and she brought her lips to my cheek giving it a small kiss.
"Good luck Ceddy." she grinned, scurrying away to the stands right after. I looked around the crowd to try and find Allison before I went in, and when I found her our eyes met. Her eyes were filled with sadness, red and glossy.
As I walked into the maze her sad gaze played over and over in my head, hurting my heart to think of how sad she was at that moment.
