Cedric's POV
It was perfect.
It was the last week of summer and it was Allison's birthday, her 17th one to be exact.
I had asked her mother to get her out of the house, and she gladly brought Allison shopping at the outlets nearby.
I had woken up quite early that morning to make her breakfast in bed, but when that failed she decided to help me and we made it together. My baking skills couldn't even compare to Allison's , but it was the thought that counted.
As soon as she left I began scurrying around the kitchen for ingredients.
Flour...eggs...sugar...
I barely even knew what half of the things were, but I followed the recipe that Allison's mom left out for me. I thought that even though the cake would look bad, it was my mission to at least make it taste good.
How did people do this? It was so frustrating, and the consistency was very confusing.
You can't use magic, Ced. You can't use magic.
I continued to work on it for hours, trying my best to make it look somewhat presentable. It was a two layer cake with white frosting and an attempted trim. The trim was decorated with small shiny candy pearls.
Finally, it's done.
I turned the spinning cake table and analyzed it. I realized that it looked more like a bedazzled leaning tower of Pisa more than an elegant cake.
Defeated, I sighed and plopped my head on the counter.
I heard the light clanging of keys in the door, and my head shot up. A large smile spread across my face as I heard Allison calling my name from the front room.
"I'm in the kitchen, lovey!"
Her boots were clomping against the floor as she ran through the door, knocking me back as she hugged me. I gave her a small kiss on the forehead whist rubbing her lower back.
"Happy birthday, my love." I mumbled into her soft hair.
After she pulled away, I pointed towards the slanted cake on the counter. She let out a loud chuckle and walked over to the silverware drawer. She grabbed two forks, handed one to me, and with the other fork she jabbed the cake and took a bite.
I stared at her my mouth wide open, dumbfounded.
"That cake was for the party!" I exclaimed.
She giggled and gave me a knowing look, eyeing the cake up and down.
"Good thing I made another." Allison replied, her hands on her hips.
As soon as I processed those words she had rushed down the stairs and disappeared the the basement. Several minutes later, she emerged with the most intricate cake I had ever seen in my life.
It was a three layered deep blush pink cake. There were dozens of delicate roses made of fondant and icing littered around the cake, gold edible glitter sprinkled on top of them.
"You made that?" I gasped, ogling the cake.
"Yes, I did, no magic used." she beamed with a proud look on her face.
I picked her up and spun her around in a circle.
"How are you so talented? How do you do it?" I asked, peppering her face with kisses.
I plopped her down on the counter next to my pathetic excuse of a cake, and a devilish smile appeared on her face. She scooped up a glob of frosting from my cake with her finger and smudged it on my nose, lips and chin.
Confused, I looked at her, seeking an answer as to why she did that.
She then came closer to me, looking up at me with her pure striking eyes. She looked down to my mouth and carefully licked the frosting off my mouth. Her lips then softly pressed up against mine and I went weak at the knees, soon having to harshly grip the counter behind me to support me. A soft breathy moan escaped her parted puffy lips as she pressed against me, gripping tight onto my muscular arms.
What was once but a murmur of intensity soon turned to fire, our flushed lips seeming to battle for dominance. Allison quickly attempted to unbutton my dress shirt, eager to move farther in this endeavour. I looked down at her -- she was so unreal with her utter beauty and purity. I had never seen anything like her before.
She was struggling to kiss and unbutton my shirt at the same time as I groaned heavily into the kiss, my deep raspy voice growing louder. She hushed me as she tugged on the roots of my hair, an endless stream of groans still erupting from my lips.
I lifted her leg up to my side, soon turning her around and pinning her by her wrists to the wall.
As soon as I began to lift off her hoodie a loud bark sounded.
Milya, are you kidding me right now.
Allison's POV
Cedric let out a breathy laugh as he looked at the floor.
"Not cool Milya, not cool." I chuckled
I chuckled and grabbed the light tan towel that was dangling from the handle of the oven. I tossed the small towel over to him and he caught it, still catching his breath from kissing.
He was wiping my face off when I heard my mom yelling at us to get outside.
What could be so urgent that she needs to call me outside?
We ran over to the back patio and opened the white wooden door when I was hit by a handful of confetti.
Once I opened my eyes, my jaw dropped.
All of this? For me?
The backyard was decorated with fairy lights that illuminated the trees. Long rainbow colored streamers hung across the branches, and a large homemade banner hung from two trees.
The banner read,"Happy 17th Birthday Allison!"
I my jaw dropped as I looked up in amazement and smiled, my eyes wide with excitement. I let out a small squeal and ran over to my family. I wrapped my arms around Cedric and closed my eyes for a moment.
"Thank you, so much." I grinned into his shirt.
He lightly rubbed my back up and down before I pulled away and turned towards my mom.
"Hey, don't look at me. This was all Cedric's idea!" she beamed, holding her hands up.
"Cedric, do you mind grabbing the cake from the kitchen?" my mother asked.
Cedric happily obliged and disappeared back inside the house. My mom came up to me with a twinkle in her eyes, light tears forming around them. She lightly grabbed my hands and smiled.
"He's a great guy." she stated, her voice just above a whisper.
"I know." I agreed.
Just as we finished our conversation we both looked at the door where Cedric stood, struggling to keep balance of the three tiered cake in his hands.
"Do you need help, Ced?" I inquired.
"No, no, it's fine. I'm fine." he grunted as he placed the cake down on the plastic folding table.
The rosy cake was surrounded by rows of other foods and candies, but was by far was the most beautiful of the whole display.

About a half and hour had passed, and I noticed a yellow volkswagen pulling into the driveway.
That's strange. No guests are supposed to come for another hour....
I was confused until I saw who it was.
A jolly and excited man came speeding over to Cedric and squeezed him tightly.
"It's my boy!" he exclaimed, giving Cedric a light noogie. Cedric quickly fixed his hair and stared at the ground.
Amos happily greeted both of my parents, exchanging handshakes and smiles.

Yet another hour passed, and my paternal and maternal sides of the family slowly rolled in. Lots of hugs, kisses, squeals, and laughter were thrown about the party as we enjoyed the festivities of the party.
"I made a cake, you know; couldn't even compare to Allison's. I don't know how she does it!" he beamed proudly.
"Oh, stop it." I sighed as I rolled my eyes.
I slowly panned my eyes around the party, and noticed something. The love and laughter around me couldn't even compare to anything else. It was the most warming feeling.
As I was in my train of thought, everyone started rushing over to the table. I snapped out of it, and quickly joined them for the pizza that my mom had ordered and the cake that I had made earlier that week.
Me and Cedirc stuffed our faces silly and had fun doing so; at one point we had a mini food fight.
"Allison..." Cedric whispered.
"What?"
"Do you want to dance?" he asked, standing up from his chair and holding out his hand.
"Don't mind if I do." I giggled as I took his hand.
A small dancing are had been set up next to the fire pit, and was covered with streamers and lights. Cedric and I were dancing around, just trying to see who could make each other laugh the most.
After a while of doing strange dance moves, we had gotten a bit tired, and resorted to just holding each other and swaying.
As I put my head on his shoulder, a specific song came on. My face lit up and I tapped Cedric on his back.
"I can't help falling in love with you..."
Cedric had to have put this song in the playlist
We slowly sawyed to the music as we lovingly gazed into each others eyes. I started tearing up as I remembered all of the things we had gone though the year prior. This song had helped me so much. Cedric must have noticed because he lifted my head up and wiped my tears.
"It's ok, I'm right here." he whispered softly. I smiled, and let out a small sniffle.
After the song had finally ended, it was time for cake. I rushed over to the table as my dad lit the candles on the cake. I sat down and everyone started singing.
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you..."
I blew the candles out, making sure not to get smoke in anybody faces.
Everybody started to clap and cheer, and my cheeks were starting to become as pink as the cake.
----------------------——————————————
After everybody was stuffed with the delicious cake I had made, we danced some more until the sun had completely set.
After everybody had left, me and Cedric went up to my room. We cuddled and talked together for hours, making up for any lost time in the past. The dancing must have worn us out, because before we knew it we had fallen asleep in each other's arms.
