I woke up to a concerned Cedric shaking me harshly.
"Wake up! We have to leave!" he yelled. I jolted up in my bed, confused to say the least.
"What? It's 7:30 in the evening, Ceddy." I yawned as I looked at the clock on my bedside table.
"Come on, come on! I've got a surprise!" he exclaimed, practically dragging me out of the bed. I slid into my slippers, soon being pulled along by Cedric who was absolutely booking it out of my dorm my whilst holding my hand.
He raced me through the school, all whilst trying to be as quiet as he possibly could (and failing miserably in the process). He lead me outside, and it was absolutely freezing.
A light dew covered the grass, as the wind blew quietly, the only sound that could be heard was the rustling of branches and the chirping of crickets. Just as he was about to lug me farther, I stopped.
"Where are we going" I asked him quietly.
"On a date, silly." he replied.
I scoffed and lightly shoved him.
"Did it have to be while I was napping?" I inquired, visibly annoyed. "Why did you wake me up like that." I scolded.
"First of all, ow." he whined, rubbing his arm.
"Second of all, it was a joke." he continued.
"A joke? You think this is funny? Why I ought to-"
As I got up Cedric ran through the field as i chased him towards the river. As soon as we got to the river bank I stopped, dumbfounded. I saw a beautiful wood boat tied to a dock filled with blankets and pillows.
I covered my mouth as Cedric came up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist placing his head on my shoulder.
"You like it." he asked, turning me towards him. I nodded my head, seemingly unable to reply.
"You're cute when you're mad." he chuckled.
I gave him a quick peck and made my way to the boat excited for our prompt to date.
When we both boarded the boat he took the rope off and we started to drift down the river, small splashing noises surrounding the boat as he pushed us forward with an oar. He laid down on the blankets and tapped his chest signaling for me to lay down on him.
As we were drifting through the water, I noticed Cedric looking down at me. I lifted me head up and cupped his face in one of my hands. I started to slowly kiss him as I moved up on the boat so I could be closer to him. As I slid up, Cedric sat up and placed me in his lap.
We must have been in a trance like state because before we knew it me and Cedric had both fallen off the boat head first. We came to the surface both laughing really hard. We climbed back into the boat and wrapped our selves in tons of blankets.
As we nuzzled together, the sun began to set, the pink orange and yellow streaks lighting up the sky. We seemed to drift for hours, talking about anything and everything.
Dates with Cedric never get boring.
Once the sky began to get darker, he turned us around, and together we paddled back to the dock. With it being the end of senior year, I loved to be a rule breaker, as it was not permitted to be out this late. We giggled as we ran back to the school and quietly said our goodbyes in the common room.

The next day was a school day, and luckily, the day went by quickly. During the last class of the day, me and Cedric had partnered together in charms to practice the aparecium spell.
It may have seemed harmless, but it was the spell that revealed everyone's deepest secrets.
I wasn't nervous at all. I knew all of Cedric's knew secrets, and he knew all of mine. But as soon as we learned what this spell did, a nervous look was etched across his face.
Is something wrong?
Cedric was not one to hide anything from me, so this worried me. Because of all the things that had happened in our past, the thought that he was hiding something from me brought me great worry.
I took a deep breath as I pointed my wand at him, quietly reciting the spell.
"I want to marry you!" he blurted out, quickly covering his mouth. I gasped at his remark as his cheeks became bright pink.
"Um, when the time is right, of course." he stammered, visibly embarrassed.
I grinned at his statement and give him a light peck on the cheek.
"Alright, we'll catch up on this next class. Page 472 for homework!" Flitwick yells from across the room. Sighs and groans are heard after this statement.
While packing up, Cedric walked by me, nudging me. Confused, I look up to be met with a cheeky wink.
Butterflies erupted in my stomach as I looked away, knowing that Cedric was smirking as he walked out the door.
Once class was over I headed over to Hermione and Ada who were talking in the hallway. They grinned excitedly at me as I walk over.
Ada must have told Hermione already.
As I got closer their smirks got bigger.
"Stop, you guys." I chuckled, slightly embarrassed.
They started giggling as we walked over to our dorm room, gossiping and talking about school work. As soon as we reached our dorm room and closed the door, Hermione turned around and went silent.
"He said he wanted to marry you!" she yelled, chucking her books on the bed.
I nodded my head as we began to squeal at the same time, overwhelmed by the current situation. I was smiling so hard it my cheeks began to hurt. We continued to talk until it was time for us to get ready for dinner.
When we got there Cedric was talking to some of his newly made friends which he made after the whole "side chick" incident.
They giggled as I walked through the doors and Cedric refused to turn around. After we got our seats I decided to walk over to say hi. As I walked over his friends started to whisper, and lightly tease him as I got closer.
I smiled and went straight for Cedric.
"I had a great time in class today" I smirked, soon waking away.
As I was leaving I heard his friends laugh at him, making fun of his current state.
After dinner was finished, me, Hermione, and Ada went back to the dorm so we could get an early night rest.
Tomorrow was a big day, as it was the first day of end-of-year exams.
I woke up refreshed from last night's sleep, ready to take on whatever the exams threw at me.
I met Cedric in the common room for a good luck kiss, and then went to my first exam.
Hour after hour passed as I aced all of my exams, and I was fully ready for school to be over for good. As I answer the last question my mind feels like complete mush, and luckily, I was soon able to walk out of the classroom.
As I was strolling through the empty hallways, I was surprised by a set of warm hands snaking around my waist. I chuckled as I was spun around in the middle of the hallway.
I leaned in and wrapped my arms around his neck as we gazed longingly into eachothers eyes.
"How was your last day of school, Miss Johnson?"
"Oh, would you just shut up and kiss me already?"
Surprised by my boldness, his eyes widened, and he pulled me in close, and he was just inches away from my lips.
"Patience is not the ability to wait, but rather the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting." he whispered, soon getting even closer, and then pulling away.
"Meet me in the field tomorrow, love. Where we had our first date -- and wear your pink sundress." he grinned as he walked away, leaving me flabberghasted.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
To follow his instructions, I got ready to leave with my hair curled and my beautiful dusty-pink sun dress on.
I made my way to the field and saw Cedric waiting there for me in his uniform, his hair messy and his white collared shirt slightly unbuttoned.
I ran towards him and gave him a hug, soon diving in to kiss his cheek.
"Ah, ah, ah. Wait, I have something for you." he grinned.
I sighed and he soon pulled out a singular pink rose that perfectly matched the color of my dress.
"Cedric," I gasped, "you shouldn't have."
He gave me a small yet bashful smile as he pulled me in, soon swooping me down for a deep and passionate kiss.
He picked me up bridal style and eventually he gently placed me down on a light blue checkered blanket.
He sat down next to me and looked me in my eyes, taking time to scan my face -- every detail of it. I seemed to feel so exposed, but in the most perfect way. I felt safe around him, like he would protect me, always and forever.
"Oh, how beautiful you are." he murmured, breaking the comfortable silence.
I smiled, my cheeks heating up.
"You are so incredibly perfect," he began, "you own my heart."
"I want to keep you warm at night, and never let you go. I want to gaze into your eyes every moment of every single day, and all I want is for you to just be mine. I want more. I have never felt this way for anyone before and I can't ever bear to lose you. Believe me, I know that's so selfish, my yearn for you, but Allison, you feel like home. You make me feel alive, like I'm who I'm supposed to be. Darling, call me crazy, but you know that we are meant to be. You know that you are the best part of me."
"I want to be with you for the rest of my life, and one day, I don't care when or what the circumstances are, I want to marry you." he gushed.
My heart fluttered and my eyes widened in absolute shock. I had heard this before from him earlier, but this time it seemed more serious -- more genuine.
Never in my life had I felt so strongly connected to a person.
"Cedric," I started, but he didn't let me finish.
His lips collided with mine in a way that they hadn't ever before, and his strong arms held me so close to his heart, I thought that we were nearly merged together.
He pulled away and looked into my eyes and rose from the blanket, soon pulling a small black box out of his pocket.
He sank to one knee.
"Allison Johnson, the love of my life, will you marry me?"
Tears began to fall from my eyes as he looked up at me with silver pools, pleading for an answer.
"Yes." I marveled.
He grinned and held my hand in his, kissing it, and putting the diamond encrested ring onto my finger.
That night I held him close to me, never wanting to let go of Cedric Diggory, my soon to be husband.
