Anna was too shocked to respond, but Cain didn't seem to mind as he spoke and threw her silence; at this point, the dining hall was mostly cleared with only a few handfuls of people sitting to watch. "I was hoping you'd choose to stay to watch; it was difficult to set this up." Anna's eyes widened as she stared at Cain before she could finally ask him to explain.
"The man then walked up to the women sitting at Gallow's table needed a little encouragement; that's all I mean. Though I'm ecstatic at this outcome, I was worried Cypher was too soft. But it seems I shouldn't excite him anymore; how do you like our leader?" Cain spoke through a smile as he continued to watch the fight waiting for a single sound to start the conflict again; he seemed amused that they were letting the tension build. "What do you mean, our leader?" Anna spoke, already knowing the answer, and part of her was glad same what glad at his response.
"We're a part of the same legion, under Cypher. And if I understand Cypher and Gallow, they should make quick friends, as Gallow and I did. Now, all we have to do is hope they don't bring him into this," Cain spoke as he pointed towards what seemed to be a man with pale and sickly yellow eyes picking at his food, Tyr. Anna knew who this man was, and she didn't like that even Cain didn't like he was here. Tyr was positioned at the very back of the dining hall, making the conflict an obstacle to get through to get to the door.
As soon as the two healed the four on the ground, it seemed like everyone agreed that they would start the battle again. And when it did, Gallow was the first one to let out a blast of mana, but this strike seemed to have a strange shine to it. Anna recognized the attack as being an enchanted variant of the one he threw out before. The strike seemed to be much faster than the one before, striking a man in his chest. It seemed to break through his barrier, sending him to the ground grunting. Attempting to stand, the same man was hit with a secondary attack from Gallow as the mana orbs floating above his body exploded. The man didn't move after this.
Two for the three dawns sent attacks of their own of static fire. Anna recognized the two as twins, they weren't twins, but they shared everything, even attack advancements. The attack fanned out towards Gallow and Cypher, at which point Gallow threw up a shield, and strangely Cypher seemed to guard himself not bothering with a shield. The flames covered the two entirely with the force of a flame thrower behind it. Nothing happened for what seemed like hours, and as the fire kept spewing out, the twins began laughing. That was until through the flames, a strike of necromancy lighting slammed into the chest of one of the twins dropping him to the floor immediately but not knocking him out. Black veins begin breaking out over the man's body, locking his muscles in place, making him unable to move.
The flames stopped at the twin stepped back, quickly generating more orbs planning a larger attack out of range. Anna looked over at Gallow and Cypher, seeing the former was fine, but Cypher had burnt flesh covering his arms and face. Parts of his clothing were burned or smoldering, revealing charred flesh underneath. Anna was confused and questioned whether Cypher could make a shield but was more concerned that Cypher seemed to be even more excited than before. The mana orbs Cypher and Gallow created behind them were burned up in flames, which both just generated more.
Cain shifted in his seat, drawing Anna's attention; she looked at him and saw the worried expression on his face. She followed his eyes and found out why. Tyr had just placed his tray at the collection site and was heading for the door; the quickest path that way was directly through the conflict going on, and that was the path he chose. He walked relatively slowly with his head down, looking at his feet, his hands placed within his pockets.
"You fuckers, how dare you touch my brother." The standing twin yelled out as he prepared his attack, the mana orb glowing a bright red hue being matched with leaking flames eating away out the mana orb that contained it. A massive flame attack paired off with a flame status effect; Anna knew that pairing an attack advancement with a status one of the same nature doubled its effectiveness. At this point, Anna began to sweat; the man behind the attacking flame user seemed to place several enchantments on the attack maxing out the capabilities of the mana orbs that were channeling the attack.
The standing twin yelled out, and as he did, the flames passed through his mouth, and a sizeable brilliant flame cast itself like a tsunami towards Gallow and Cypher. Cypher sends a shot of necromancy lighting through the attack, but it doesn't reach the other side, dying halfway through the flame. Cypher seems to understand the situation and quickly realizes he's screwed finally. There was nothing he could do to try and escape the range of the attack, and at that point, the look on his face confirmed to Anna he couldn't make shields.
Anna gasped, and Cain tisks as he placed his arms on the table and leaned forward. As the flames reached out, Gallow reached his arm out towards Cypher, placing shields onto him. As the fire covers them, consuming their frame, Anna notices Tyr walks past the twin spewing flames and generates a mana orb, then weakly throws up his left hand. The fire died out as quickly as if the flames had all the oxygen it needed stripped away from them in one violent act. The twin stood there in the same position as when the flames were spewing out, only now looking stupid. Gallow and Cypher stood in defensive positions untouched by the flames and reliving what happened uncovered their faces in confusion. But Anna knew that Tyr had just used nullification to wipe out the twins' attack.
Tyr walked past with every existing mana orb being destroyed as he placed his hand back into his pocket and walked out. Gallow stared at Tyr, but Cypher kept his eyes on the twin, who didn't seem to understand what just happened and quickly generated a new mana orb, most likely his last one, and began to try and attack. Cypher quickly overrode its construction and used the generated sphere to send a shot of necrotic lighting towards the man's neck, which tore through, sending the man to the ground with blood pouring out from his neck.
The man behind him quickly yelled out, "Okay, we understand, we won't mess with you anymore were sorry. Just let me heal my friends, and we'll leave." It seemed like the only one with any sense that stayed mostly out of the fight decided to call it quits before he lost his esophagus like two of his other companions. Cypher and Gallow both seemed clam enough to understand what the man was saying and stood still staring at the man as he healed his friend.
Cain began laughing next to Anna, which seemed to gather both of their attention; Gallow seemed to have said something to Cypher, which led to them walking towards the table. Anna finally regained her awareness and noticed that the entire dining hall was cleared out, but there were plenty of people crowded around the entrance to watch and record the fight that just happened.
