Chapter 8 - The Status System: Character Legion

"Tyr Alter or The Legion Less is a proficient Mana user and adept at nullification and like every other none exalted he fought in Cloth's, the leader of the none exalteds, false tournaments. At the pre-academy, the exalted were the only ones who went under evaluation, and since this and no since to Cloth and his legion members, they create their own." Anna spoke as if she was there and watched the entire thing unravel, at least she did to Cypher, and she most likely was.

"He and another few exalteds grew so powerful from how they held their tournaments and from natural ability that some exalted decided to form a counter group and attack them during a long awaiting fight between Kai and Tyr, Circe And Garn, and a few others. This was the first known case of mass murder to accord at the pre-academy; of course, this was all covered up not only by cloth and the embarrassed exalted but also by the administrator. The fight wasn't even at all, but the non-exalted won the day; they slaughtered the entire group of attack exalteds." Cypher was so surprised, but more so that the academy would look over something like, for Anna decided it was mass murder.

The thought of exalted going into an all-out war between two mini factions wasn't unbelievable, "And so cloth and the leader of the exalteds, Stigend, brokered a deal of peace. But the reason why Tyr's name is known is that he's insane like you. It seemed like the only things he ever bothered with were his physical body, attack advancement, and healing. He is like you in the fact that I don't even think he knows how to use a barrier or even enchantments; both of you are copies of one another." Cypher squinted his eyes at this; he knew how to use barriers and enchantments. He forgets he can use them.

Anna finished with Cypher's leg and prodded him with one of her nails to let him know; Cypher placed his leg back on the ground. The feeling of the coating of gel around his leg was growing more and more irritating, but now his leg was completely healed. "Hey Anna, are they gonna hold another unofficial tournament anytime soon?" Anna looked at his supply and hesitantly answered him, "They already are." Cypher smiled at her and asked her what the situation the two leaders decided on about exalteds watching the tournaments was.

"They can't unless invited by Cloth himself; that goes both ways," Cypher sunk into himself hearing her words, and Anna sighed, but it wasn't out of annoyance, "I've been invited, and I'm sure I could get you in."  Cypher's eyes lit up, and he stared at Anna, waiting to confirm her words; once she did, he stood and wrapped one of his arms around her in a small hug, thanking her. She lightly scoffs at the action, and Cypher releases her, making his way to the dorms to clean off his body from the gel, especially his leg.

Cypher noticed after cleaning himself up that his clothing rewire wasn't cutting it; there had been some much damage done to his clothing, so he'd need new material to fix it this time. But this wouldn't prove to be a problem; going to his old room, he opens one of the pouches he had on him and left it in his now vacant room. He had enough to remake his clothing at least twice in its entirety, but he only needed a quick full repair. Cypher walked out of his room, newly refreshed and now having to find Anna once again; he thought to himself that he needed to get his legions phone numbers.

Cypher first entered the dining hall and saw Anna sitting with Gallow, but before he could even take a step towards them, his phone went off. He saw he had a few text messages from the school; one of them was a congratulation on winning his first out of ten fights, and attached with it was a bank account link. Cypher pressed it while walking towards the table; an app was downloaded on his phone and opened up. His cellphone was automatically signed into an account titled Cypher Gourd.

Cypher finally made it to the table but was still going through the app until he found he had a value of ten in the account, Anna greeted him, and he responded but didn't lookup. The other messages were asking if he was a part of a legion and if he registered. He clicked into a form that detailed out the positions of a legion which Cain had already explained to him; Cypher finally looked up and Anna and Gallow what he had received. Gallow answered that he got the same two messages, and Anna said she only had the legion-related half.

Cypher nodded and just filled out the form and handed his form to Anna and told her to pick her position and enter her name in the legion; he had to find Cain. Anna took the phone and stared down at it; Cypher stood up and looked around until he found Cain still surrounded by his victims. Cypher walked over to the table and called out towards Cain; everyone seemed to be aggravated at Cypher's appearance, as well as Cain, who sighed and called out to everyone to refill their pockets while they speak. They all grumbled as they left, and Cain sat down, folding his legs, "What is it now?"

Cypher turned his back to Cain and answered it's legion-related and told him to follow. Cain collected all the black cards in a single bag, all marked with different colors or named slips of paper. Sitting down at the table, Cypher's phone was handed to him as Cain sat down. The form was almost filled out, but three positions were left open, and the name; Cypher handed his phone to Cain, who began to look through it. "What are we supposed to be calling ourselves?"

Anna was the only one to look around and seem like she was looking for an answer; Cypher sighed and just mumbled, we're going to be here for a while. It took over three hours, and halfway through, Cain set up his gambling table next to his legions and started up the betting. Serval titles were throughout, but the only one everyone agreed on was the title of Characters. The legion's name was placed in, and Cypher submitted the form; he was still missing two members and didn't plan to fill them except for one position. And he only had an interest in one person filling it.
