"Surprisingly, the aura you exude is quite something. And your mana is also equivalent." Licht states genuinely surprised. Using [All Seeing Draconic Eyes], Licht could see the threat level of Draywein. The aura that Draywein released was a pale blue, cyan even, and it also came in great volume.
"How am I supposed to determine the threat levels exactly?" Licht asks, briefly glancing at his contracted animal. Draywein nervously fidgets in place as he chuckles, "Honestly, I never had a reason to learn the threat levels, and threat levels are dynamic; they change the stronger you get." Draywein explains.
"Also, all the humans I have encountered in my entire lifetime were a bright white, and they were a piece of cake."
"So, this function is practically useless. " Licht sneered out causing Draywein to flinch a bit.
"W-wait. For what it's worth, when we first met your aura was black as night! And you even managed to get 99% of my power!"
"Still useless. And what you thought was 'important information' was completely pointless."
Draywein gave a weary laugh and seeing how his pride was wounded, he felt life no longer had a meaning. This wasn't the first time; Licht was constantly belittling him and it wasn't a great thing to experience.
[Draconic Wings]
A large pair of black wings emerge from Licht's back. They had a total span of about 2.5 meters, they were evil-looking. Although looking worn out, Licht gave a good flap confirming its sturdiness. Upon observing after some time, Licht discovered something.
"Are these your wings?"
Draywein squints his eyes, "Now that you mention it, it looks very similar to the ones I had before the contract."
"Hmmm. I'm bored."
Draywein pulls his claws to his chest, startled. "And why did you tell me this?" He was replied with Licht's bored expression, "Why else? I need entertainment."
Draywein's eyes twitched in slight annoyance, which soon became a feeling of disappointment. He felt foolish, thinking that Licht's behavior towards him would change for the better.
"You're making a really pitiful face, right now."
He was surprised that Licht even bothered saying anything, he saw Licht as the sadistic young master type. Although, he still stuttered a reply because he wanted to live. "Ye-...I...what?"
"Answer me." Licht directly orders.
"I-I was just thing of how you probably kill me in a heartbeat," Draywein states sadly. "B-but that's probably just how these things are. Though I regret being hated by such a pretty person."
Draywein chuckled after his last statement, his master was a beauty with an extremely feminine face and build, but his attitude was a different matter entirely. It was worth it though.
Licht held a finger to his chin as he thought, "Hmmm...Is that how it seems?"
"Eh?"
"Frankly speaking, if I thought nothing of you or even hated you, I would have killed you way before now, no?" This statement causes Draywein to pale, but he eventually gives it some thought.
"Either way, you're the only one who knows who I truly am and you're somewhat useful even though you're useless."
Hearing this, Draywein's tears slowly flow from his eye sockets." "That was actually nice to hea-... Wait. I just heard something. You definitely did that on purpose! Is it so hard to compliment someone normally?!"
Licht stretches and yawns; he eventually decides to start his trip back home. Rustle, rustle. Crack. Licht's ears picked up on this, even though it was especially far.
"I think we should go back, brother. It's dangerous here." The familiar voice causes Licht's eyes to widen. 'What the hell are they doing here?'
"Shhh! I know but our little brother is here. Who knows what happened to him? We have to find him."
"But we can just tell mother and father, right?"
"We can't. You know how it is; Licht is secretive. And telling mother would make her worry." They both shuffled along the dirt path, occasionally glancing around in fear of monsters and demons.
It was well known that forests, waterbeds, and other natural lands rich in mana, spawn monsters. Although Licht wasn't aware of this, he didn't care really.
Roslyn tugged on her shiny red hair nervously, and her nose twitched. In her other hand, she held her thick wooden staff and clutched it tight. Her eyes were brown, like her father's, and they watered from the fear of danger.
Leonhard, the exact copy of Roslyn, though he had short-cropped hair and a small splash of freckles on each cheek. He clutched his short-sword tight, and carefully chose each spot he stepped. He was cautious of all the monsters that were told to be here.
"Ah. This is definitely your fault." Ignoring this statement, Licht elegantly got up to his feet. He planned to constantly check on them using [Detection Magic], and meet with them in the middle.
Licht weaved through the clustered trees of the forest, while Draywein followed through the shadows as ordered.
He had hoped for the plan to go as smoothly as possible, but it seemed that the twins didn't have enough luck on their side. A roar echoed and Licht sighed. He could see the twins flinch from the loud noise, and from what Licht could see, the creature was uncomfortably close to them.
[Teleport]
Lich felt like he had no other choice. Seeing Licht pop out of nowhere, Rosyln and Leonhard both raise their voices in a frightened scream.
"Where did you come from?!" Leonhard asks.
"I knew it! That's high-level movement magic! I-I mean...where were you?!" Roslyn follows. Licht rolls his eyes at their stupidity and holds a finger to his lips. Though, he was too late. The rustles in the bushes were in sight now as the large creature emerged.
"A-are those w-w-water b-bears?"
