"I'm the one you've looking for. Isn't that right, father?"
"What?! Is that really you, Licht?!" William calls out surprised. Now, that he really thought about it, Licht's height made him easier to identify. That and his odd features; dark skin with white hair and blue eyes. It was unheard off, so Licht was one of a kind.
Seeing how Licht was now two feet taller than he usually was, it was no wonder they didn't recognize him. He was now bordering 5 feet, in height, but his features were still the same. Still, when it came to Licht, they really paid attention to his height.
"I told you I was working on something; this is what I meant." Licht assures them, indicating towards his height, but Leonhard and William frowns.
"Still..." William says as he trailed off, but Leonhard completed his thought. "Your height was what made you cute." Leonhard deadpanned. It was such a shame, seeing such a cute boy turn...
"Well," Licht began with an annoyed tone; "Staying at that height became a pain." He said closing off the matter entirely. William saw his child's annoyed face and let him be, "Alright! To your positions!" He yelled.
Licht and Leonhard return to their positions, waiting for their father's orders. The children under the care of William, are those who either have warrior class jobs or those who ignore their statuses and truly wish to become a knight.
Roslyn was one of the very few girls, who were present. She looks around nervously, and soon she locks eyes with Licht. Licht gives a nod at her and she immediately blushes and turns away, leaving Licht confused.
'Oh gods!' Roslyn exclaimed inwardly. 'That boy is so cute!' she giggled to herself, eventually letting go of her anxiety.
"We're starting with five hundred strikes!" William yells before making eye-contact with Licht.
"And for those who want to go the extra mile, feel free to do so!" He finished as he handed each child a wooden sword of their own.
Licht nods at this as he appreciates the words that his father directed towards him. He starts his count, as he watched his surroundings. Once in a while, William would come to comment on how Licht did as he did with other students; and Licht was especially grateful that he didn't get any special treatment.
Just about everyone had finished their strikes, but Licht continued. He had barely broken a sweat, making him convinced that this was the result of one of his passive skills, [Enhanced Physical Regeneration].
Licht continued with his swings as if trying to whack away his boredom when he was interrupted with a loud taunt, "What a drag! You're still swinging your five hundred?" The voice mocked.
Licht realized that the voice was familiar, "This is why girls like you should just quit on becoming a knight. Oh wait," it said cheekily. "My bad, I thought you were a girl."
Snickers follow soon afterwards, 'Ah. It's those background characters again. That means...'
"I know you from somewhere," Licht states with a glazed expression, as he still swung his sword lazily. "You're that kid who asked me to marry you." Licht recalled. Though he couldn't remember his name, probably because he was never interested in the first place.
A blush creeps on Arne's face. Yes, Arne. The boy from Licht's birthday five years ago. After getting his heart crushed by Licht, he holds a grudge but still finds it unnerving that Licht looks like a female. He was the son of a Marques, the one and only Volrath, the Demon Slayer.
Arne's took great pride in this family name; he didn't want some wannabe noble telling him off. He walked up to Licht threateningly, trying to intimidate Licht with his height, almost a foot over Licht. With their bodies close together, "How dare a commoner speak to me like that. If you do not want punishment, you better apologize." Arne growls out in a low voice.
Licht's voice compared to his was sweet even, yet they dripped with deadly venom, "It seems you do not remember what happened 5 years ago. If you don't want a mess; Fuck. Off." Licht said calmly, but still asserting himself.
This triggered something in Arne, an uncomfortable memory appeared in his memories. But as soon as it appeared, it disappeared. A brief moment of fear turned into rage. He gritted his teeth as he pulled Licht up by the collar.
Seeing as it was his father's school, Licht felt like he had no right to act out...yet. He eventually made eye contact with William, and upon seeing how dark Licht's eyes were, William panicked. His eye widened and he rushed in between the confrontation, giving a sigh of relief after confirming that everyone and everything was perfectly intact.
"You think this is over?" Arne muttered to himself resentfully. "Just wait and see. I'll make you pay."
