Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

When I entered the room that I was assigned and was met with the sight of the hot pink walls, I knew that the color of the room had to do something with my uncle and his desire to annoy the crap out of me since he knew I wasn't a fan of the color hot pink.

"You don't like it?" Zora asked as Ariel went to go pee since she was holding it since the morning because she didn't want to miss greeting me as soon as I came.

"Absolutely not." I said shivering in disgust at how bright they were.

"Okay good because we didn't either." Ariel said, entering the room as we all shuttered at the color.

As I opened my suitcase, a bundle of clothes popped out and from Zora's & Ariel's expression, I could tell they was shocked at how many clothes were in there.

"Woah. Do you want my help putting them away?" Zora asked, noticing how I was scratching my head in thought of how I was going to put them all away till assembly time which was in about 5 hours.

"I want to help too!" Ariel said,

"If you guys don't mind." I said, a pout on my face as a form of plea.

"Ariel is a pro at this." Zora said as we started to put the clothes in piles of what they were like a shirt, pant, etc. while Ariel volunteered to arrange them in the closet.

"It's one of my many talents." Ariel said as she asked me how I wanted to organize my closet, which was pretty big may I add, and started putting away the jackets I had.

Okay, I know what you guys are gonna say. Dove, why do you have jackets during summer? Well, considering how low the temperatures in some classes are, I made sure that I was prepared. Also, I might be a paranoid freak when it comes to preparations so I over pack.

"So, is this your first year here?" I asked, striking up a conversation with them in order to fill up the silent air.

"Nope, it's our second year and the other girl in this room's second year as well, you're the only new one but I'll think you'll fit right in." Ariel said, not trying to discourage me because of the fact that I was the only new one here.

"Yeah, I think so too." Zora added, before putting on music and dancing along to it while we hanged the tips.

"I hope so. How are the other roommates like? Stephanie I think." I asked.

At the mention of Stephanie, they both looked at one another. It was one of those "uhh" looks, you know?

"Well... in simple terms she's a bitch" Zora answered while simultaneously using magic to fold the clothes.

"Why, how is Stephanie like?" I asked, interested in what time of person this Stephanie was.

"Well, for starters she's nothing like her brother, Aidan. Wait, you probably don't know who he is." Ariel said.

"I actually met him today and he was a sweetheart." I answered, turning down her assumption.

"Yeah, he is. Well, Stephanie is the opposite. She's pretty evil especially considering she's an angle. She likes to make fun of people and use her magic in a humiliating way like making people make a fool out of themselves." Ariel said, starting her explanation on the type of person Stephanie was.

"I don't really judge people like Ariel." Zora started before being cut off by Ariel.

"I don't judge, I inspect. I was seeing what type of person Dove was! Its normal." Ariel said, her body deep into the pits of the closet.

"Mhm what she said." Zora said, sarcasm in her voice.

"I can hear the sarcasm from here." Ariel muttered, as she exited the closet.

"I don't really get involved with people. Like I'm pretty chill and don't get into drama and stuff. But Stephanie made up this scenario in her mind that I was spreading rumors about her and one day tried to corner me and humiliate me. But I'm really not one to just sit there and be belittled so I did the simple thing and humiliate her back. She tried the whole violent thing and I'm not one to fight so I used my words and got out of there. In the end, she obviously didn't like how I was talking to her so she spread rumors that I was kicked out my pack because I'm a werewolf and all, which I wasn't." She said, summing up her impression on Stephanie.

"Wow, sounds like a b*tch." I said, not liking the way she treated Zora.

"She totally is. She made fun of the fact that I'm a fairy of animals in front of everyone and people being the little followers they are followed her and started laughing at me. I was pretty closed off then, unlike now. But I still have a hard time when it comes to confrontation and all that jazz so I'm not one to talk back like Zora is and Stephanie knows that." Ariel said, a sad smile on her face.

Considering how pure Ariel's soul looks when I look deeply in her eyes, she wasn't lying when she told me about Stephanie.

"I think being a fairy of animals is a beautiful and great thing." I interjected.

"That's what I said Dove." Zora added in.

"Also, considering how we are all besties now, I got her covered for you whenever you need it Ariel." I said to which Zora agreed to.

"Stop guys I might shed tears." Ariel joked, a deflection from being the center of attention. It looked like Ariel was pretty insecure when she talked about being told that the power she manifested was a sad excuse of a power.

"What type of Angle is she?" I asked.

"I think she's a level B but seems to be a level E by the way that she behaves." Zora said, putting away my shoes while I assembled my accessories.

In the magical world, each category that someone is in is paired with a level. For example, if you are a vampire, there are levels that go down to E and the lower you are, you tend to be more psychotic or weak. Meanwhile, the higher levels are usually paired with being royalty, powerful, and/or manners. It's kind of like how there's wealth classes but in magical terms. And the traits are stereotypes because Level Es can be really powerful.

"I wonder how living with her is going to be. Considering how easily I get triggered, I might end up killing her." I said, thinking about how I don't have a lid on my anger a lot of the time.

"Oh we never asked, what are you?" Zora asked, realizing that I didn't tell them what I was.

"Oh yeah, I'm a level A vampire." I said, replying to her question.

"Woah, you're a pureblood. I never met a pureblood before." Ariel said, an amazed look on her face.

"Yeah, there's not that many of us but it's more common to be than a half-blood Devil." I said.

"Yeah, there's like 917 pureblood vampires." Zora said, saying information that I had no idea how she knew.

"I don't know how you know the number." I said, putting away my pants now after finishing with all the tops.

"Have you heard of the Demon Daughter?" Ariel asked, her face lighting up in excitement.

"Yeah, the only full blood Demon right?" I answered her question.

"Yeah, I wonder what power she has. Also, there's no full-blood angel anymore and half blood demons are the closest you can find of her kind and they are just a 100 of." Ariel said, a form of wonder on her mind.

"I wonder if she's even real." I said, adding into the conversation my skepticism.

"I second that." Zora added, agreeing with me.

"Is there a cute boy in school?"I asked, suddenly intrigued to know if there's any eye candy in the school.

"There's a couple." Zora said before Ariel added on and said "The most famous is Kai. He's basically the mysterious, bad boy, doughy, gets in fights, in detention, but rumor has it he can be pretty smart and kind on rare occasions. He doesn't really have friends that he hangs out with either."

"So the kind that have it all but are an a*ss" I asked.

"Pretty much. I've never seen be genuinely committed in a relationship either. He jokes around and teases people but he gets over it the next week and moves on." Zora said as we cleaned up the final things.

"He's not my type but he is fine." Ariel said, but before we could continue on with our conversation I heard knocking on the front door and a high pitched voice yelling to open the door.

"Well, I hope you're ready to meet Stephanie." Zora said, shooting a dreadful look my way while Ariel let out a loud groan.

I'm so excited.
