Chapter 1 - 1-My daughter

Rina woke up only to find herself in a massive cave. Surrounding her were huge crystals of different colors. Some red, some were green, purple and blue, others were even black. She looked around and realised she was lying on a huge bedding made of straw. A strange heat was being emitted from it as well. It didn't burn but made her comfortable. She tried to get up but couldnt master up any strength.

"Where am I?" She looked all around then a sudden wave of dizziness hit her. "Anybody here, hello!". But she did not hear her voice. She did not know who she was or where she was. Before she could make sense of anything, memories started flooding into her mind. "What the hell!" she screamed. She remembered. She was an orphan who did not have anyone to care for her. She lived on her own, had a good job but ended up dying for a pitiful reason.

It was an afternoon in the summer and she went out for grocery shopping. She saw some children playing by the roadside. Their ball ended up on the road and she run to pick it up, she slipped on a banana peel and fell. She heard screaming then looked to her right and realized a truck was speeding towards her.She tried to get up but had twisted her ankle and injured her hand and couldn't get up. Her fingers managed to push the ball away but then she got run over by the truck.

The end.

Rina stared at the ceiling of the cave feeling depressed. This was naturally because she was not happy with the manner in which she died. She could not imagine how her beautiful body became a mangled mess. That wasn't an elegant way to die to die at all. That was not the death she planned. Rina let out a loud sigh. She couldn't believe she sacrificed herself for a ball.

Well, who could she possibly blame. Rina got up and looked around the cave and finally saw the exit. She tried walking but realized she did not have proper control over her body.

She looked down in shock and saw her tiny hands. Since she couldnt walk well, Rina had no choice but sit on the floor. But she was unwilling to give up and started to crawl. She had never felt so embarrassed in her life. She was furious but still crawled and she soon reached the exit. It took her about half an hour to get there and she was beat. She was panting. She was soaked and the clothes she was wearing was sticking to her making her uncomfortable. She was so angry she started to cuss. "F***, what the hell is go-"

What she saw made her mind go blank and forget her fatigue.

"So beautifull!".

The scenery in front of her shocked her. She had never seen anything so beautiful. The azure sky, the waterfalls, the floating islands, the green plants with exotic flowers. There were many floating islands with water falls at their edges. The water running was crystal clear.

However, before she could take it all in, the sky turned dark. There was huge shadow looming on the ground. Rina looked up and saw a black creature hovering in the sky. The beast had shiny black scales, massive claws and red eyes blazing like the sun.

"Wooow". Others first reaction to seeing something like this would be to feel fear and want to escape but not Rina.

She looked at the beast calmly with some admiration in her eyes. The black beast, scratch that, the dragon also stared at with its eyes. The black dragon flapped its gigantic wings and landed in front of her. There was a strange silence in the air.

Rina spoke first, "What are you?" But what came out was "Wu ha yaa?".

Rina was shocked. She then looked into the eyes of the beast and saw her reflection. A kid who looked about eighteen months old.

Her pupils constricted and her little plumb face registered her shock. She had short curly black hair with her baby hairs sticking to her forehead because of the sweat, a small nose and pink cherry lips. Her pupils were black and bright but you could faintly see a hint of the colours of the rainbow in them.

"Little one, do thou not fear me?" asked the dragon.

Rina's lips twitched when she heard the dragon. "No" a short crude answer. At least what she said was clear. The dragon looked at her in suprise before lifting her in its paws.

They stared at each other for what seemed like forever before the dragon said "Thou has passed thy test. I shall raise you as my daughter".
