Rina quietly studied the old man in front of her. His face was scrunched in displeasure but he still allowed her to look at him.
"Are you done staring?"
"No I'm not." she answered, looking him straight in the eye. "Who are you?"
"About time you asked." his face broke into a large grin as he pointed at himself. "Listen carefully brat, I am the great Shin protector of the Primordial Realm! And you, little girl are in luck today."
"I sure am lucky. Ending up in this place talking to a dwarfy old man." she snorted.
"Brat you don't believe me." He said this as a statement not a question, his brows creased.
Rina placed her hand on her in mock surprise eyes as wide as saucers. "How could I not believe you?! Great Master Shin."
"What do you not believe? My identity or what?"
"Does it matter? Tell me how to get out of here." she said impatiently looking around a way out.
Shin sighed. "There's only one way out." She snapped her head to look at him."One way?"
He raised a finger, "One way." Rina felt miserable. Shin smiled, "Why so discouraged? There's a chance you know." "B-b-but if it's only one way, then this way is definitely not simple."
Shin's smile widened, "You are smart." Rina glanced at his smiling face eager to wipe that smile off, "How?"
**Silence**
Rina didn't get a reply and turned to him again. He was rubbing his chin thoughtfully. " You don't know?" she was flabbergasted. Shin shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly, "It appears I've been asleep for too long. I don't remember."
"You don't remember?!!" Rina screeched. "Mm."
"Don't mm me. Try to remember or else we're gonna be stuck here forever" she was pacing around anxiously.
"I don't mind, I've bee-"
"I mind! I have a family..well just got one but still I don't want to be stuck here forever!!"
"You better remember how to or else I'm going to..." She grabbed him with her tiny hands and glared at him. Shin's heart leaped. This girl was young but her glare could certainly send a chill down your back. Her black irises were devoid of any warmth one would find in a child's eyes.
He was thinking about the cold in her eyes when she harshly pressed her hand on head squishing him and tightened her grip on him. He yelped, "I'll try toremember, no, I'll definitely get us out of here so leave my head alone!"
"You better do or else I'm going to..going to.."
"Going to what?" he smirked. This old dwarf sure was annoying. "I'm going to..going to kill you!" she screamed. Shin burst out laughing. Rina blushed. She probably didn't even have what it took to kill such a person. She didn't know why she said that. Out of embarrassment she tightened her hold on him soliciting a scream from him.
She didn't totally believe his claim about being a great master and all but he should have some capability if he was in such a place. She was wallowing in her misery when she heard Shin exclaim.
"What is it? Did you remember something?" she asked eagerly. He shook his head. Her shoulder slumped.
"However..." he began when Rina kneeled suddenly and clutched her chest. She broke out in a cold sweat and her head was spinning. She relaxed her hold on Shin allowing him to escape from her hands.
He smiled down out at her as she was in pain. "Why on earth are you smiling?" her voice was hoarse from the pain and the searing heat in her chest. She was sweating profusely. "You want to leave right? You wish is being fulfilled"
Rina was confused when she a bright red light. Out of it emerged a huge red crystal. It was about five meters tall and one meter wide. The crystal was as red as blood emitting heat. The burning sensation in her chest got worse when the crystal appeared.
"This is how you leave." Shin said. Rina smiled at him with a chilling gaze.
