Rina kept her bone chilling smile on Shin's face as she slowly rose from the ground. She seemed like a totally different person. Shin's eyes widened in surprise as he saw Rina's eyes turn multicolored before the red spread out slowly.
Her eyes looked like they were on fire. Her gaze was searing. She ignored Shin as she walked toward the red crystal and placed her hand on it then closed her eyes. Images showing burning fires and volcanoes erupting appeared in her mind.
A strong wind suddenly blew as her black robe fluttered in the wind. Rina felt her body burn. The pain was indescribable. Rina smiled slowly as she felt a strange power course through her veins.
Her eyes snapped open. Her body moved on it's own as she then placed her forehead on the crystal. She felt a cool sensation in her right palm and looked at it as a Huo symbol appeared in her palm (chinese symbol for fire). The mark was bright red and soon faded leaving a red mole in its place which also faded.
She was wondering what happened when she felt the burning sensation in her body get replaced by a much cooler one. She turned around just in time to see a deep blue flash of light which left a crystal of the same color in it's wake.
Shin watched as the red in her eyes was slowly replaced by the blue colour. Her eyes were half red half blue before turning totally blue. She walked toward the crystal and placed her hand on it. The image of the roaring seas and the calm and turbulent rivers, as well the beautiful waterfalls appeared in her mind.
She sighed comfortably as she felt the heat from the previous crystal finally fade away. The blue crystal was the same size as the red one. Pushed by an unknown force she slowly placed her forehead on the crystal. She felt power course through her veins her again. She could feel this power strengthening her meridians. She had never felt so powerful.
This time she felt a burn in her hand as the Shui character appeared in her palm (chinese symbol for water). The mark was blue and soon become a blue mole appear before it disappeared. "Shin what is.."
Her statement was interrupted by a flash of green light. Where the light appeared had a green crystal. For some reason she felt at peace. She was never one to like trouble in the first place and the peace she felt made her so happy she run toward the green crystal and hugged it.
This time images depicting the forest, gardens and the plains and meadows flashed in her mind. The blue in her eyes was immediately by a beautiful shade of forest green.
Shin swore he had never seen more beautiful green eyes than than hers. He was surprised though.
Considering her fiery temper he was expecting her to have less affinity for wood and trees. But it seems he was wrong. She hugged the crystal for a long time but still no symbol had appeared in her hand.
Upon realizing this, Rina turned toward Shin confused. Shin cleared his throat, "For trees to grow, there needs to be earth first. So..."
"Without the earth I can't grow the trees..." she mumbled.
She was mumbling when there was flash of brown light and the earth crystal appeared. She was filled with strength and stability and she headed straight for the brown crystal and placed her hand on it. Images depicting tall mountains, plateaus, rocks and sand filled her mind. From the soil she saw seedlings germinate and grow into strong plants.
The Mu character (chinese character for tree) finally appeared in her palm which quickly turned into a green mole and disappeared. Soon after the Tu character ( chinese character for earth) appeared in her palm and became a brown mole before quickly disappearing.
At this moment her eyes were a beautiful mix of green and brown. She smiled happily as she looked down at her palm.
"Ummm.."
"Rina. My name is Rina."she said still looking at her left palm. "Rina, stop the crystals from appearing."
Rina's ears twitched when he said that and glared at him. "What do you mean by that? You don't want me to leave do you", she squinted. Her eyes were now black. And they were freezing cold as she glared at him.
"No, no you've got me wrong," he waved his hands frantically. "It's not that I want to keep you here. On the contrary I want to leave that's why I'm saying this. Stop the crystal from appearing."
She looked at his doubtfully but decided to believe him then opened her mouth to say, "Stop crystal appearances." After she said that she felt the place become much quiet and still than before.
"Done, now explain yourself."
