Razo walked over to Arakna, his gold hair glistening as the sun started to shine on the land. Arakna carried Elle, while Ian followed. Razo walked up to Ian, patting Ian's blonde hair and messing it up.
"You did good little lamb." Razo forcefully said. He hated trying to comfort anyone, but this human looked sad.
Ian's brown eyes looked up at Razo softly, his eyes were puffy and red. They carried so much sadness, as tears welled up, his lips were pinched together. Razo grabbed Ian and leaped in the air.
His red wings seemed so bright, Ian thought as he closed his eyes. He didn't want to think about anything, he just wanted to sleep and wake up as if this was just a dream.
No, but this was no dream. A tear fell down and he sniffed.
Razo looked down at the crying boy and grimaced.
Great, Razo thought shaking his head in disapproval.
Arakna and Ian landed on the ground. Looking at the now destroyed cottage. The roof tilted halfway down while part of the wall had been torn out.
Razo sighed and looked at Arakna, "Look at the fucking mess you made." Arakna looked at him emotionless.
"We probably shouldn't stay here anymore."
"Where the hell are we supposed to go?"
Arakna leapt in the air, as Razo followed.
"We'll have to find a new area, we'll build a new home."
"Are you sh-" Razo stopped as Arakna shot a glance. Razo sighed and shrugged, as they flew in the air to find a new flat land.
It was not yet midday, but they found a good area. The grass was knee high, as water flowed nearby. It was a pretty nice area, Arakna thought as she placed her hands on her hips. Razo stared at her. Other than her demonic crazy ass ways she was rather a fine specimen, he thought. Having one as strong, terrifying, with the love of killing however didn't seem enticing at all, he thought while shaking his head.
He sighed, "What a damn shame."
Arakna looked at him and walked away.
They now had spent days working on this home. Ian helped with his master plan of a home for his mother, meanwhile Arakna and Razo worked real hard to please the little human. It was now night time and they all sat at the table. Razo had surprisingly mastered the skill of cooking, while Arakna only knew how to hack animals apart. It was a fair trade. Ian was feeding his mother slowly. Arakna watched as Ian struggled, sighing, then looked down at the stew Razo had made.
Elle hadn't said a word since that day. In fact, she almost didn't even act human. All she did was stare off at a distance, no sound, just silence. Arakna understood the horror of what a demon could do to a female. She didn't understand how weak humans were. She shook her head.
"She's not a fucking baby. She can't keep acting like this." Razo said, pointing his spoon at Elle.
"Don't worry mom, he seems mean, but he's nice." Ian said to his mom, nodding.
"That's enough." Arakna said.
"What the hell are we supposed to do with a human that has no thought? She's completely out of it." Razo continued.
Ian covered his mom ears with his small hands, "Razo, my mom can hear you."
"Good, I hope she wakes the fuck up."
Suddenly, Arakna's hand slammed into Razo's cheek. His head turned to one side.
"I may not understand what I feel at all times or even understand why humans act the way they do, but what I do know, is you will not talk to Ian or Elle as if you were not speaking to Father." Arakna said angrily, her eyes glowing starting to turn red.
Razo rubbed his cheek and smirked, "Fuck that asshole too."
Arakna leaned in closely to his face, "Then talk to them as if you'd dare talk to me."
Razo leaned back, putting his hands in the air, "Alright, alright. I get it."
Arakna rustled her silver wings and rolled her head. Walking out the door she heard Ian telling Razo that he'd made her mad.
Arakna looked immediately at the moon. She'd walked further out, laying in the grass when she'd heard footsteps coming up. Razo's gold eyes almost shined in the dark.
Sitting next to her, he looked up at the stars, "Why do you still choose to be loyal to him?"
"To whom?"
"Father."
"He created us and everything. How could I not?"
"That's it? He created us and that's it? Now here we are with no place to go." Razo said slamming his body down angrily.
Arakna stayed quiet for a moment, "You have a marking of a demon. What is it that has tainted you?"
Razo looked at Arakna's purplish shiny hair, wavy and flowing with the night breeze.
"I hate. I hate everyone and everthing."
"I don't believe that."
"Okay, but I will not be loyal to that Asshole."
"Father." Arakna corrected.
"Yeah, whatever. As far as I'm concerned, 'Father' abandoned us. What hope is there for our kind?"
"He'll figure it out."
"Yeah, I thought so too. Now I'm just over it. A part of me thinks that maybe you should've just killed me that night."
Arakna pondered, "That's why you didn't harden your wings to protect yourself."
Razo stayed quiet. Arakna turned her head to face Razo who now looked up at the stars. He'd lost hope and with that grew hate. He'd lost his faith and with that cursed at God. For being once an angel, that was an act of defiance.
Arakna looked up at the stars once more. She felt it in her heart, her faith. She didn't know how or when, but Father had a plan. She placed her hand on her chest, closing her eyes.
Please hear me, she thought.
