Arakna and Lucias leapt into the air.
"Hold on." Lucias said as his hair turned white and his eyes blue once more.
Arakna glared, "If you're tainted, by lying, how can I trust you?"
Lucias smiled lightly, "Well, let me explain how I started to lie for your partner. Every day he sat there looking onward, yearning for someone to come home, looking every night, stating he was going on a 'nighttime outing'."
"He did that?" Arakna said as her eyes trailed away, "I don't want to taint him."
Lucias came closer, "He will become tainted. Even God can sense it. I just kept lying for him to ward of other angels from pointing that out. In turn, I became more tainted."
Arakna saw Lucias' eyes turn hazel again.
"Your eyes." She pointed out.
"Yes well, impure thoughts change them back. I haven't quite mastered that."
"What imp-" Arakna tried to ask before Lucias cut her off.
"Okay! So let's get to this." He said as he studied her, then changing the image of her face structure, Arakna's hair and wings turned white once again and her eyes sky blue.
"Perfect! Now you don't look like Arakna."
"You can change faces too?" Arakna asked concerned.
"Yes, now let's go."
Off they flew to the entrance of Heaven. Arakna looked back at the cottage that now was looking smaller with each gust of air.
~~~~~~~~
Uriel sat by a lake of water, studying his face. Eyes are still blue, his short hair still white, he ruffled his feathers, then dipped his fingertips in the cool water.
He started to blank out thinking about Arakna. He saw her purplish-silver hair, her multi-colored eyes, her silver black-tipped wings come to his mind. Then he started to remember walking in to watching her rip a demon apart and enjoying it. Uriel grimaced, "This is bad." He said to himself.
God walked next to him, "Every one of us has something or someone that motivates or inspires us."
Uriel looked at God, "What motivates me?"
God smiled warmly, "Just because I have the answer, doesn't mean I am to give it."
Uriel's looked confused, "Then how am I to know?"
"Just as a human child learns to walk or talk." God replied.
"I am no human."
"No, but it is why I created them."
Uriel stared off, trying to think of the answer when God patted his shoulder, "You see, when your brother decided to rebel, it stirred our Kingdom. Thoughts became whispers, whispers became aloud, and now angels have to choose where they lay."
"Why did you create us?"
"Because I can. I wish it had been a more meaningful reason, but I created all of you and all of this. However, I created everything to have its limitations. I made the mistake of creating more possibilities than limitations with my angels. Your brother broke that barrier and the doors to each of your souls opened to another room. For instance, are you angry to find out this truth?"
Uriel pondered for a moment, "I don't know, I'm trying to understand it."
God nodded, "That's because I created all of you to be that way. You are not sure what anger even is. However, you are curious. Angels are not to know what curiosity is and yet Arakna keeps coming to mind. You are curious?"
Uriel quickly looked away.
God did a light laugh, "Child that is embarrassment." God stopped and looked at the water.
"She will be here soon and you mustn't be here. You will meet again, but now is not the time. You must hold down that whisper that asks you to see her."
Uriel turned to look at Gods emerald green eyes. Uriel opened his wings and flew away.
~~~~~~~~~
Arakna and Lucias landed onto Heaven. Angels were usually further down in the center of the Kingdom, but she saw a few lingering on the outskirts. Her heart felt like it ached, she reached to her chest. It hurt.
Lucias glanced down, "It's not easy coming home to a place that is no longer your home."
"How is it you can enter?"
"My angel gift allows me to distort our presence. It doesn't last forever, but it does wear me out. I can't stay here all of the time, but keeping an eye out for Uriel as he kept leaving to look for you was a good excuse to leave the Kingdom."
Arakna kept walking by Lucias' side, where they'd passed the white walls and headed further toward the outskirts of a garden. When they further entered passed the trees, they reached an opening to a pool of clear water. There God stood staring down at the fishes, his hands behind back , his white hair reached halfway down his back, his hair parted revealing his still golden tan skin.
"Arakna." God said without looking at her. Arakna continued to walk toward him and knelt down.
God and turned to look down, smiling warmly, "Two little birds that keep chasing each other, find themselves in the same nest."
Arakna looked up at him confused.
"Please stand child."
Arakna stood up slowly, when God wrapped his arms around her and embraced her. He'd smelled like flowers. He'd smelled like home, Arakna closed her eyes, without realizing a tear had fallen down. God released her and wiped her tear, "I am sorry that you had to suffer such horrors. I'm sorry that any of you have had to suffer. Lucifer creates suffering to open the door of doubt. It was part of his plan and he still has to complete it."
Arakna glanced at Lucias who'd stayed silent.
"Why am I here?"
"Lucifer chose you for a reason, but in the end you will choose yourself."
"What choices do I have."
"You will make a choice between the Kingdom of God or the Kingdom of Lucifer."
"I choose you God. I will always choose you."
God cupped His hand on her face, "My child, he will make you suffer over and over again. He wants your hatred to grow. He probably has already started your suffering."
Arakna thought of Elle and the demon splattering above her. She stumbled back, when Lucias caught her arm.
"You okay?" He asked concerned.
Was this going to be a continuous problem? Anyone she'd be near would be hurt? She thought. Arakna shook her head.
God patted her shoulder, "Everyone you meet, will have a purpose child. Not everyone will live. I promise you this, I do have a plan. There is a reason why I created humans. I had foreseen Lucifer's defiance, but what I foresee are many outcomes. Now you must go. Until we meet again." God hugged her gently once more. Arakna couldn't say goodbye, it pained her just to leave.
