Ashlin POV
He pulled my body against his, face buried in the crook of my neck. My breathing hitched as his lips kissed my flesh searching for something. A small moan passed my lips and his lips curled up into a smile as he sucked and nibbled on that spot. With weak hands I pushed against his chest, standing back he looked at my neck and smiles at his masterpiece. My eyes looked anywhere but him, unable to think clearly. What was I doing? We aren't suppose to be like this, him and I are sworn enemies. A volcano erupted inside of me as tears slide down my cheeks, I sat on the floor and pulled the towel over my body. Trembles racked my body as silent sobs was all I could spare shuffling of feet could be heard before one hand was placed under my knee, another behind my back. I was lifted and carried to a bed then seated in Layton's lap where I cried to my heart's content. His fingers rubbed soothing circles into my back as my cries turned into silence but my head was kept down.
"Angels aren't suppose to cry, little angel" shaking hands wiped my tears.
"..." there wasn't anything I could say.
"Does your heart beat for me?" I could hear the smile on his voice.
"No" my heart had yet to beat for anything or anyone.
Eyes burnt holes into my skin, meeting the gaze it was Cerrabus. With shaking bones, I detached my body from Layton. He pulled me against his side making a line from my line of sight to the white haired female. His hands slacken and I slipped out of his grasp, into the bathroom. Staying there my ears dropped like a sad puppy, not long after moans could be heard from the other side of the door. It was a reminder just in case my heart started to beat for him, it was a reminder that I was just another one of God's possessions he wanted as a prize. Extending my wings, the pearl white was slowly turning grey, it wasn't a good sign. Flapping my wings, tiny chains appeared ignoring them I continued as they wrapped tighter. Dying was an option since anywhere would be better than here. Falling to my knees, weak hands support my body. Raspy coughs came from deep within my throat.
"You'll hurt yourself, little angel" Layton placed a hand on my shoulder.
"Then hurt I shall be"
Extending my wings further, I transformed into my archangel form. White fabric adored my skin, silver hair graced my head and baby blue eyes reflected on nude tiles. Standing up I looked at the Devil, the sound of chains falling echoed through the room. My sword was at my hips, pulling it out of the holder rust fell to the ground revealing a gorgeous silver blade. A pale yellow hole appeared nearby.
"I'm afraid it's time for me to leave duty calls and I musten let it go unanswered" with that I turned to the portal and walked through.
"You can run from your heart and body for only so long until you get tired and it catches up, little angel"
It was the last thing I heard before I was now bowwed before God.
"My child you have found a way to return, come" he led me through many pathways until stopping at a stream.
"Let us rid you of the impurities he has given to you"
Removing my clothes, I step into the stream walking slowly until the water met my neck. Ducking under, I allowed the water to wash over me removing every one of his touch and kisses. Breaking the surface, I walked out of the water to be met with no one, God was gone back to his duties. Drying my skin, I clothed myself but stopped seeing the red mark left on my neck. Touching it memories flashed by and a thump echoed in my chest it wasn't a full beat just half. With stable wings and a heavy conscious I flew down near earth and sat on a cloud observing like we usually do every sunrise. This sunrise however lacked something and so did the smiles of angels who flew by. This was all were knew, yes were had the knowledge of past years eeven centuries ago but we had no actual knowledge. It was the reason we had no shame in our bodies and yes, maybe the world will be better if it had no knowledge. What is a world full of smiles and routines?
I was kidnapped, beaten and released into the Devil's home. Kisses became a greeting and touches made me more aware of my surroundings. We were made from perfection so that we may carry out the Lord's order. Helping humanity to make the right choices and stop them from making the wrong ones. Heaven is for the righteous and Hell is for the damned so why did it feel like a part of home for me? I was in hell, the righteous was in the home of the damned. A small dark cloud started to form beneath me, above a cross road. No angels had taken notice to it yet. Standing up I fell forward with closed eyes, wings extend before my body could make contact with the road. Two pair of eyes glance in my direction one was familiar the other wasn't.
"Angels always interfere before I could make a deal are you guys stalking me?" Layton asked with a teasing voice.
"Don't flatter yourself Devil" I scoffed.
"I'm here to make a deal and you won't change my mind" the human said to me.
"Who said anything about changing your mind?" I sat on a nearby stone running my hand against the feathers of my wings.
"So you aren't going to try and stop me?" I gave the human a thumps up.
"Smart thing aren't you?"
"But you're an Angel and I'm going to make a deal with the devil"
"Yep pretty much, Nancy Drew"
"Aren't you suppose to stop me?"
"Technically yes but no"
"Is she a new Angel?" He questioned Layton.
"No you're looking at an archangel, one of the strongest of angels" Layton answered.
"So why aren't you stopping me?"
"I'm not stopping you because it's not my job. If I was you I'll hurry it seems like my fellow angels realize what you're doing" I point up at the sky.
"So human what do you want?" Layton asked.
"To die"
"You want to die huh? Okay" Layton was about to seal the contract that bind the human soul to him.
Instead of the human's blood I placed my blood on the contract. My actions surprised the two males who looked at me as if I had grown two heads.
"Trust me Owen, your life will get much better very soon just have some hope have faith not in your future but yourself" with that I knocked him out.
"You just bonded your soul to Hell for a human" my wings turned grey no longer it's pure white
"Are we going to talk all day or are we going to get this over with?" I raised an eyebrow.
We stood in silence until angels surrounded us ready to attack the devil. Placing his arm on my waist he pulled me against him and placed his lips on my own. It shocked all of us but no one had the chance to react when him and I transported into Hell. We were greeted by Cerrabus who jumped on Layton and wrapped her legs around his torso. She was claiming her territory smirking I looked at them as they locked lips. Grey eyes connected with my own making him stop his movement.
"What are you smirking at?"
"Cerrabus claiming her territory" I chuckled because it was honestly funny.
"I see the Angel in you has died"
"Not fully"
I turned from them and walked into the balcony of Layton's office after a few minutes there was silence. Re entering the room it was empty, moving aside sacks of papers I laid criss cross on his desk with papers as my pillow. The ceiling was dark brown nothing special, doors open but I could care less about it.
"Do I have to place traps around all my tables to keep you off them" Layton asked turning my body to face him, I smiled and wiggled my eyebrows.
"Here I thought you'd love to have me laid down on your table" my lips twisted into a pout as something flashes in those grey eyes.
A group of demons walking in all eyes looked at me in hunger, pulling out my sword I ran my finger along the blade with a twisted smile.
"I've always want to kill a demon" my tongue ran against the cold metal with a smile, "maybe your blood will add flavour to my blade".
"She smells like an Angel but acts like a sadistic demon" a demon said to another.
"Oh you haven't seen sadistic yet" something stirred inside of me.
It was like my nature was changing everything I once knew was old memories and twisted thought now rage rampage in my mind. Putting away my sword I sat up and stretched the sleep from my bones. There was a yearning in me to taste sin, the sick pleasure of it.
"Cerrabus can you come please I need your help" rolling her eyes she walked to me.
I placed my lips onto hiser cold ones while wtapping my arms around her neck. She placed both hands on either side of me moving her body closer to mine. Our lips moved in sync as our tongues consistently fought for dominance. We were pulled apart by Layton, Cerrabus's breathing was uneven as she ran her index finger along her lips. She turned and buried hee face into Layton's side, who hugged her.
"You shouldn't do that"
"Why?"
"Because you're an angel"
"No reall-"
"Angels have a taste to them that may drive some people crazy, few can handle it but most are driven insane with lust" he rubbed Cerrabus back in a calming manner, while glaring at me.
Extending my wings, I flew out of the building with tears streaming down my face unable to detect the spear that was heading for me. It was too late as the spear pierced my left wing, my body swirled toward the bridge below. My head connect with the concrete and I could see blood in my vision. With weak hands I try to stand up but was unable as hands pulled me up.
"Are you okay, little one?" His voice was husky.
Nodding I leaned into his warmth, he wrapped his arms around me tighter now holding me, bridal style. His wings flap raising us off the ground and into an unknown destination. My vision was blurred as blood still covered my line of sight. We landed somewhere but his arms never loosen around my shaking body.
"What happened to her?" Layton voice was the only one I recognized.
"You allow an Angel to fly around in Hell what else you think would have happened to her?" the unknown male questioned.
"Not now brother rest her here"
I was laid on a soft surface but my damage wing was tugged making me scream in agony.
"Cerrabus don't do that you'll permanently damage her wing" breathing suddenly became hard.
A warm pool surrounded me as the pain faded into relief, it was the archangel within me. It dissolved and my eyes were now focused as I was met with a tall handsome male, green- gold eyes, black hair, broad shoulders, pink lips, defined jaws and every perfection ever made.
"She's one of those" his voice turned to venom.
"Yeah and she has left heaven forever"
"Is that true little one?"
"I have a name" I said with attitude.
"And so do I but that wasn't my question" he rolled those hyponotizing eyes.
"Yes I did after all I signed a deal with the Devil" he turned to Layton.
"She's mine now brother" he then turned to me, "my name is Lucan and yours little one?".
"Ashlin" my eyes casted to the floor.
"Little Angel met my brother, brother met my little angel" he introduced us putting emphasis on my.
"I see calling people little runs in your family. Layton I don't belong to you, I belong to Hell, the fire, damned souls and torture but not you" I stretched my body cracking pained bones.
"You heard her so I guess she's for the taking then, see you around little one" he smiled and flew away.
"I'll be leaving now" a portal opened up near me.
"Where are you going?"
"To find Lucan I have something to ask him"
"Now I have competition" he groaned out.
"You don't have competition and you never will"
"Because you already belong to me, yeah I know"
"No love, because you'll never have me as your possession" I laughed out before entering the portal.
I wandered aimlessly trying to find Lucan, night was slowly approaching. The screams of eternal burning souls were the only melody, the river of damned soul flowed by under the bridge. My concentration was on the many souls not my foot path as I fell into the river. Many souls begged for mercy asking me to free them from this Hell, outstretched wings moved weakly. My body was finally free from their gasps a hand touched my wing sending pleasurable shivers through out my body. Spinning around with a sword pointing towards the stranger my eyes slowly travel up to their face.
"Violent little one aren't you?" I placed the sword into it's holder.
"Next time you'll know to announce your presence, Lucan"
"It's Mr. Lucifer to you" rolling my eyes I headed for the bridge.
"Did you always have this attitude, little one?"
"It's Ms.-"
"Let me guess..... is it Ms. Archangel?" He asked cutting me off.
"No it's Ms. Phoenix" I corrected him.
"Ashlin Phoenix. What an unusual name for you little one"
"I was born from the ash, born in times of war when the last Phoenix was cut down. Don't judge me by my position in heaven, I was born a fallen one. I was born a strong warrior for Hell's army but God got to me first now I'm one of the strongest warriors in heaven but I've never been in battle"
"It explains the shade of your wings" his fingers teased the skin of my wings making me moan before they disappear into my flesh.
"Why do you hate me?" The question just slipped pass my lips.
"I don't hate you, it's your creature and your type" he shrugged.
"I was born from destruction and polished to perfection, the first fallen one to be accepted into heaven, there isn't a type like me" smiling he leaned in resting his forehead against my own.
"You are correct but your soul was created with two different halves, little one" his eyes were closed as his breathing slowed to a steady rhythm, "how would you like to work for me?" His voice leaked of sleep.
"What's in it for me?" Our breaths fondled with each other.
"What is your deepest desire?" It was merely a whisper.
"To feel with my heart not my mindo. Having mood swings and not being able to control my actions sometimes" a single tear rolled down my cheek.
"To be human but still be the creature you are....... contract made", his teeth tug on my lip before biting it drawing blood, "our contract is sealed now let's go to my home" a back hole appeared at our feet and slowly swallowed us.
