I was at the bar in my normal no sleeved dress with those fluffy shorts underneath. In the 60's, most girls wore dresses and I had a dress that, in my opinion, shows that I'm serious. I always liked to play pool until midnight. Of course, I make one mistake and it's over. This dude came up to flirt with me, asking, "What's your name?"
"Kelly... what's yours?" I asked, standing up straight to show my confidence.
"William. Have you ever been on a motorcycle?"
I rolled my eyes, "No and no."
"What? Excuse me?"
"I said... I'm only here because I wanna get really good at something so very useless," I responded, hitting the white ball with the cue stick. "No thanks. And, I have a very cute boyfriend already."
"So you're saying I'm cute?" he asked, grinning.
I shook my head, "I'm saying my boyfriend's hot, not you. Oh my goodness! Honestly, my boyfriend is so hecka cute." I continued hitting the balls into the holes since I didn't have anyone to play with.
"Come on... let's just get outta here," he whispered, touching my chin.
I stomped on his foot, "I said no, William."
"Why so mad?"
"OH, you should be so lucky, William." Then I put foot behind his feet and slammed him into the ground. "I don't get mad... I get interrupted and then I take care of the problem."
"What's your problem?!"
"I'm married," I sneered, pinning his arms down.
He picked up one of my hands, "Where's the ring?"
"We're going to be. We might as well be married."
"Joseph? Ya, right. You're pretty tough, so, I'll beat you up," he exclaimed, rolling over so that he was pinning me down.
Then I heard someone yell, "William! Get the heck off my girlfriend!"
He didn't move at all, "Oooh, the wife is here. Get ready for a scolding." Zadkiel walked over and then kicked him off. I panicked, knowing what was coming next.
Zadkiel put out their hand, waiting for me to take it, "Come on, let's go."
"I can't, Joseph. This is where I belong."
He took a deep breath, "I can't help you if you don't let me. I can't love you if you push me away. And I can't be there for you if you're gonna be here. So, please, just take my hand."
"I can't... I'm sorry, Joseph. I love you so much."
Zadkiel grumbled, "Don't bother coming back." He turned around, headed towards the door.
I quickly got up, "But we're soulmates. Doesn't that mean anything to you?" I asked, looking up at him. But he wasn't looking at me, so it didn't really matter because he left.

Azariah collapsed, falling backwards, "Just grab his hand!"
Leah added, "Ya, just fix everything later."

I kept going to play pool, but I always wore long sleeves. I didn't want people to look at my arms. I didn't eat as much food, anymore. I quickly realized that there was this scar on my left arm. I was just surprised it didn't cut through my bone, too. I always just looked at the stars instead... thinking about Zadkiel. One day, while I was walking home, I ran into Zadkiel. Then, in the dark night sky, I saw a beautiful, bright, star light up the sky, making me think of him even more. It looked the same, but I couldn't stop looking.
"You ok, Kelly? Your eyes just lit up. Anyway, we have to go," Zadkiel said, pulling me along.
But then I heard, "Not so fast! We're here to take you to jail!"
I stopped in my tracks, holding my arm out to the Sherriff, "Give me the badge." The Sherriff did so and I said, "I'm Sherriff now."
Then I felt something hit my head and then I woke up, "Are you ok?" Zadkiel asked, shaking me awake.
"Ya, what happened?"
"He barely even touched you and you just collapsed on the ground. I was lucky. They thought you had the plague or something! Anyway, we should hang out! Just like old times."

"Friendzoned, I can't with this, Azariah! I don't think they're married at this point! What a tragic story," Leah exclaimed, collapsing into Azariah's lap.
Azariah looked down and smiled, "RIP."
"I'm not dead, Azariah!" Leah exclaimed, but then she changed her tone to serious, "But I might as well be."

We went on a great adventure, but I didn't remember much, just looking into Zadkiel's eyes so much. I kind of thought his eyes might glow, too. Or maybe I just thought that my eyes couldn't have possibly shined brighter than his.
"We should say our firsts," Zadkiel suggested, smiling.
"Who's going first?" I asked, swinging my legs back and forth off the tree branch.
"You should go first. Who's your first kiss?"
"You..." I slowly answered.
"You count that?"
"We dated like forever! Besides, it was kind of my only kiss.
He frowned, "Steven... So, first friend. that's pretty easy. I can't think of anything else. I can't believe most of our firsts are each other... I guess that's just the curse of being soulmates."

We were back in heaven, walking through the tunnel. I pointed to the part that's patched up now and said, "Remember that?"
Zadkiel laughed, "Ya, when I totally saved your life? Of course, I do."
"Why were you in the tunnel anyway?"
"Oh come on, you totally already know. I was with my mom, Linda, and we were walking to headquarters. And then we heard a thunk and saw your head stick through."

Linda and I were walking when we heard a thunk on the ceiling of the tunnel. I hadn't been eating at all since I was so stressed out. Don't ask me why a little kid was stressed out about something like that, though, because I have no idea. I ran outside the tunnel and I climbed up the side with ease. He propped himself up, saying, "Hey, thanks! My name's Domiel, what's yours?"
I smiled, "Zadkiel."
"See you around."

"And then we started working together, resulting in a friendship that lasted a billion years and a crush that lasted a trillion," Domiel said, smiling as they looked off into the distance.
I rolled my eyes, "Whatever."
"Look, Zadkiel, I didn't ever care that you were my soulmate. I only ever cared that you were mine. Well, my significant other," Domiel replied, laughing, "Zadkiel, I love you. And, it's not just because you're my soulmate. It's because you're my best friend, my closest confidant, and the only one who's ever told me that I didn't do very good at coming up with an adventure."
"It was terrible, though. Absolutely terrible. I mean, video games?"
"Anyway, you're the only one I trust, the only one I love, and the one person in heaven that I like to hang out with. And, I have a crush on you. So, Zadkiel, are you prepared to reject me?" he asked, not showing any facial expression.
"I love you too..." I responded, grabbing his hands. I looked down at them, leaning my head against Domiel.

Azariah gasped, "So then you got married?! Wait..." she held up her finger and whispered something Leah real quick. Leah nodded her head and Azariah asked, "Domiel, did you wear a dress? I mean, you don't have the figure, but you were the one who was a girl on Earth."
Domiel shook their head, "Nope. We both wore suits."
"Well, you guys should go pack," I said, shooing them out.

We all went into Leah's room to pack, "I can't wait till I go to Earth! Then I can find my soulmate!" Leah exclaimed, spreading out her arms. Then, her wings appeared and she hugged herself, the wings wrapping around her arms.
I gasped, "Leah, your wings!"
"What?" she asked, looking down at them. "Does this mean I'm really cupid?"
"Wait," Jenna started, laughing, "You think that means you're cupid?! I have wings, too."
Leah frowned, "Aren't I, though?"
Jenna shook her head, "No... I do- Ya, you are..."
