Point of View (Leah)

"I can feel it, it's time to go to bed. I need my twelve hours, Coretha," I said, turning from my target as I put down my bow and arrows.

She nodded, "Ok, sounds good. All of you can leave if you want."

Azariah pumped her fist, jumping in excitement, "YES! Bye, Coretha!" I looked over at Jenna and Mordecai. Jenna laid on the floor, snoring really loudly.

Mordecai picked up Jenna by her stomach, slinging her over his shoulder, "Ya, goodnight, Coretha."

"Goodnight, everyone," Coretha said, waving to us, "See you later!" We all went to our apartment and went to sleep.

The next morning, I woke up with red plastered on my face. I quickly sat up, confused as to what kind of dream I had. Slowly, the dream from last night came back to me. I remembered the beginning, when I woke up. Then I realized I wasn't in a bunk bed anymore and I was in a really big bed. The door opened and Coretha was in the doorway. She grinned, "Hey, Leah." My heart skipped a beat, making me put my hand to my chest.

"Coretha... why are you here?" I asked, sitting up on my knees. I realized I was wearing a weird, and shorter, dress, too. It was so silky and soft.

"I'm the girl of your dreams, Leah. I'm the one you love so much and want so much you just can't wait to have me," she said, smiling even wider. "You want me so bad that you're quivering in your socks! And, guess what, this is your dream. So, in this realm, I want you so bad that I'm going to have you." She walked over to me, still talking, "This is the moment where we find out how far that stick up your a** is." She pushed me onto the bed.

"Wait, what?" I asked, putting my hand behind her neck.

"This is what you want, though, Leah. You want me," she said, "Because I know you way more than you ever will."

I squinted my eyes closed, but then I heard a different voice, "Leah." It was such a beautiful voice and I opened my eyes. "Let me save you from yourself."

But then her appearance changed again and it was Coretha, "I will have you no matter what. Even if you were saved and you got a fancy, cushiony, marriage you wouldn't be able to escape me." Then she got really close to my ear and whispered, "It may be her face, but it'll still be me you're f***ing." That's when the dream ended. Now, I was looking around, realizing that I hadn't slept for 12 hours like usual.

"Azariah," I whispered, hoping she'd wake up, "Jenna?"

Instead, I heard Mordecai say, "Leah? You're awake so early?" He was on the bottom bunk under me.

"I need to talk to you," I said, hoping he'd be able to help. We walked out of the room and we sat next to each other against the wall, "I just had a terrible dream."

"What kind of dream?"

"I don't wanna say it, but it was with Coretha. She was being scary. Like... like..."

"Lust? Do you like her?" he asked, turning to me.

"No, not like that. I like Alexa. She's nice. Whenever I think of Coretha, it's bad thoughts. Very bad thoughts, Mordecai. How do I make them stop?"

"There's no ultimate way to stop lust. You just have to... make sure you don't act on those thoughts," he responded.

"But that's the thing, Mordecai. I really really want to act on them. I actually want that to happen. I want those things, so what do I do?"

"Act on them. You have to figure out if those are real feelings. If you don't actually like her, you'll be able to feel it in your heart. You'll know. But, you should just kiss her. Nothing more, nothing less," Mordecai explained, "I'll go with you. We can go right now."

I nodded, "Ok, thank you so much, Mordecai."

I sat up, realizing then was when I woke up from the dream. Everyone was awake already. But, I knew that I still needed to do something about it. I need to ask out Coretha. I got off of my bed and went into the kitchen, "Hey, Leah! Good morning!" Azariah exclaimed, smiling. They were all dressed for the day.

"I have to go. I'll be right back," I said, smiling back. I walked towards the door.

"Wait, where are you going?"

"I need to take care of something," I replied, clenching my fists. I marched over to headquarters, "Mr, I need to talk to Coretha."

He nodded, "Room three. She's been holed up in there ever since yesterday night."

"Ok, cool," I responded, walking over to room three. I opened the door, saying "Hey, Coretha," slowly.

The chair turned around so that she was facing me, "Hey, Leah. I assume you're here about the dream."

"Wait, what?" I asked.

"Obviously, we both like each other and lust got the better of you. It's... it's happened to me before. So why are you here?"

"I have a crush on you. I really like you. So... will you go out with me?" I asked.

She frowned, "Leah, I think you're so cute. But, I don't like you like that. You still have things to figure out, but I have all of that figured out already."

"O-oh... ok. Thank you, Coretha. Oh, good morning."

"Good morning, Leah. I'll see you around."

I walked out of the room and the big man said, "How'd it go?"

"I know rejection now. That's all I'd like to share, Mr."

"Ok... good morning, Leah."

"Good morning, sir," I replied, smiling. I walked out of the door and back to the apartments. When I opened the door, Mordecai walked up to me and gave me a big hug. "What?" I asked, almost smiling.

He responded, "I had the same dream. You kissed her, didn't you?"

"What?! What the heck is this? Dreams can all of a sudden be snooped on by others?" I asked, stepping back.

"Just for this episode," Jenna assured me, patting me on the back.

"Well, if you were wondering," I started, "I didn't kiss her. I asked her out and she said no. This is very new to me. I've never been rejected by a girl. Boy? Yes, but never a girl. It hurts significantly more, by the way."

"How much? Twelve tubs of ice cream much or twelve laps around the city much?" Azariah asked.

"Yes," I replied, "I would like both, but I know that can't happen, so I'll just do 24 laps around the city." So that's what I did that day. I ran 24 laps around our little sector. When I got home, I collapsed on my bed, crying in my head.

Then someone walked in, "Leah?"

"Ya?" I mumbled, my face in my pillow.

"We have really good news!" Azariah responded, jumping up and down.

I slowly got up, "What is it?"

"Just come into the kitchen," she said, smiling really wide. I walked into the kitchen and they all smiled at me.

"What is it?" I asked again, pretty annoyed. I really just wanted to wallow in peace.

"The big man is starting up school again! All the dark heart guardians from Earth are coming to Heaven!" Azariah yelled, smiling really wide. Jenna gasped, looking really happy. She started bouncing up and down. She jumped over to Mordecai and jumped into his arms. Mordecai embraced her joyfully, hugging her tight.

I stood there in shock, "Alexa is coming back?"

"OH, I totally forgot about Alexa! I can't believe I was thinking about how Kelly, Joash, and Andrea! I totally forgot about Alexa coming back too! Oh my goodness gracious! I can't wait!" Jenna yelled, smiling. Mordecai smiled, laughing. Then the alarms started blaring and everyone's face went from happy and excited to worried. I clenched my fists and walked outside. It was so windy outside, so I put my hair up in a ponytail.

Then the intercom turned on and I could hear the big man's voice on the speaker, "Leah, Azariah, and Jenna, come to the front office."

After a moment, they all came out of the apartment building, Mordecai still carrying Jenna, "She won't walk."

Jenna grinned, "I won't walk."

"Ok, we need to get to headquarters," I said, still clenching my fists. We slowly made our way to headquarters, none of us to be blown away. We stomped to headquarters, opening the door, making it swing all the way open from the wind. "What do we need to do?" I asked.

"The black hole is going to be your top priority right now. You have to go down to heck and defeat it already. I know it's a bit soon, but it's already done some damage on the scale and it's not going away yet. This wind in heaven... that's The Nothingness," the big man explained.

We all nodded and I responded, "Ok. Let's do this. Do we go through the dark heart realm again?"

"Nope. Just go down..." he started, but then he snapped his fingers, "...that slide. It goes straight to heck."

"You sure it's a straight slide? Because, I am not straight at all," I replied, laughing to myself.

The big man looked at me with a completely serious face and asked, "Why would the slide associate with your sexuality, Leah?" I stared at him blankly. Then he said, "That is funny, though. Now go destroy The Nothingness. Oh, Mordecai, you have to stay here. We get to hang out, though, so that's good," the big man said, smiling.

Mordecai frowned, still holding Jenna who was now sleeping, "Why?"

"I'm sorry. I can't really explain it all too well," he said, "But you have to stay here... sorry."

"It's fine. We'll just hang out, I guess... Jenna, wake up. You have to go fight The Nothingness."

Jenna slowly opened her eyes, "What? Is Alexa here already?"

"How'd you fall asleep?" I asked, wondering how she slept through the wind.

"Wind makes me super sleepy. Can't you just carry me down there, Mordecai?"

He shook his head, "Nope, sorry. I have to stay here."

"Well then I wanna stay here. Do I really have to go?" Mordecai nodded, putting her down on the ground.

Mordecai kneeled down on the ground, putting his hands on Jenna's shoulders, "You do. But I'll always be with you and I'll be here for when you come back."

She nodded, walking over to us two, "Ok, let's go, guys." We sat on the slide, Jenna in the middle. We had our arms around each other. We quickly got down the slide and the king of heck ushered us to the black hole, which had now swallowed up the throne room.

I took a fighting stance, "Ok, Azariah, let's... fight it? I'm very confused as to how we're going to do this. We have all the wrong powers. I can shoot it, but, I don't know what else to do other than... go inside of the black hole."

Azariah groaned, "All of my mortal life was for this moment right now, wasn't it? To risk my life by doing the worst thing ever. I might die today for absolutely nothing... let's do it."

"Ok. I guess today I die next to two of my friends even though Mordecai isn't here. I never thought I'd be this close to anyone," Jenna commented.

"I was so alone for forever. Now I have two best friends and I asked someone out today. If this goes well, I'll be living in the same sector as my crush," Leah said. We all held hands, slowly stepping forward. We stepped into the darkness, squeezing each other's hands really tight. I squinted my eyes, thinking I was dead now. But, then, it was completely silent. "Are you all still here?" I asked, opening my eyes. I looked around, realizing I wasn't holding Jenna's hand anymore.

I was all alone.
