Point of View(Azariah)

Taking leadership, I said, "You can do anything. Just... leave Earth alone."

"Ya," Jenna added, "Or heck. You can do stuff to them, but nothing that'll kill any people from Earth."

"Fine, but to seal the deal, one of you has to kiss me," she said, smirking, "Or you could just... sign this." She held out a really long contract, "Either way, you abide to these terms."

I laughed, "Leah, you're up."

Leah shook her head, "Just sign it. I already have someone I like."

"We can't. Ok, then, Jenna, you're up."

"What? No, I'm not kissing her. I'm straight," she responded, shaking her head.

"You're still in denial?" I asked, raising my eyebrow, "Just kiss her."

"You know, you're acting like a child, Azariah."

"I can't say I'm not hurt by that, but I'm for real, we don't have a pen, so we can't sign it."

The Nothingness grinned, "Ya, you heard her. You want everyone on Earth to die? Aimee would die, you know."

"I don't agree with blackmail, but I do agree with the kiss thing. You know that we need some way to do this."

"Fine, this wouldn't be my first kiss anyway. Warning, you will need to bend down to like half your size." Jenna got on her tippy toes, put her hands around The Nothingness' neck. Then she quickly situated her arm so that her elbow was behind their back and she slammed T.N' face into the ground. "This is me saying, 'I don't kiss girls I don't like' by the way." Then she leaned down, Jenna still holding T.N's head down with her hand, "Give us a freaking pen, already."

"Fine! Whatever. I just thought you were kind of cute," she said, trying to pry Jenna's hand off.

Jenna growled, "I'm not cute! I'm a deadly raptor. Now snap those pretty little fingers of yours and summon a pen." T.N snapped her fingers and held out a pen, "Thank you. You're pretty cute, too." Then Jenna stood up and walked over to the two of us, "Here, sign it, Azariah."

"Why me?" I asked.

"You're the leader, Azariah. Why wouldn't you be the one to sign it?"

I smiled, "Ok, that's good with me." I took the pen and signed the contract messily. "Ok, do we get to leave now?"

"I'm a little sad I didn't get the human interaction, but ya, that's fine. Just a second," The Nothingness said.

"Fine, I'll give you a hug. You have to kneel down, though, I'm not hugging your torso," Jenna explained, leaning onto one leg. T.N got down on her knees and they hugged. Jenna looked like she was thinking and then she kissed T.N right on the lips, a hint of a smile seeping through. "Oh ya, can we get home now?" T.N snapped her fingers, not taking her eyes off of Jenna.

When we got back to heaven, I turned to Jenna, "Dang, Jenna, what was that?"

"Hey, if you have the chance to kiss The Nothingness, you kiss The Nothingness. I'm just wondering why leah said no. That was a great kiss," she replied, grinning.

"I said no because Alexa is coming to heaven, Jenna," Leah responded.

"Oh ya! WAIT, where's Mordecai?" Jenna asked, looking around, "MORDECAI?! MORDECAI?!"

"He's back at headquarters. Don't you remember?" I asked.

She squinted her eyes, "Really? Whatever, I'm gonna go to headquarters." Then she ran off.

I looked back to Leah, "So... we should probably talk... How much did you... what happened?"

"Not much... your dad did kill me twice, though... haha..." she responded, slowly laughing.

"No, that's not what I meant. Did he do... did he?"

"Nope, not really."

I rolled my eyes, realizing this wouldn't work, "Did my dad rape you?" I asked quickly.

"Oh ya! I... ya... I remember that... lt was like so long ago, though. Like... forever ago, you know?"

"Umm... no, I don't know because whenever I close my eyes, I think about how it still seems like it was yesterday when that happened. So I kind of doubt that you- whatever, my dad ruined my life in one single second. Everything that happened after that could've been the worst thing in the entire world, but it wouldn't have mattered. He could've killed me, but I would only ever blame him for that one second. That one moment when he betrayed everything I thought dads stood for. So... I can kind of relate to you."

"Fine... but you have to tell me about your stuff, too. You can't just go rogue on me, Azariah. You have to promise me that you'll talk about your bad days, too... ok?" Leah asked, putting her hand on my shoulder as we slowly walked to headquarters.

I nodded, "Ya."

After a moment, Leah said, "I love you, Azariah. I've heard a lot of people say that. I'm pretty sure they were lying... but I'm telling the truth, Azariah. I love you."

I smiled really wide, "Awww, I love you more."

She laughed, jumping up in the air, "I LOVE YOU MOSTEST!" I held out my hand, Leah taking it.

I spun her around, "I love you more than the mostest bestest friend in the known universe."

"And I think you're the prettiest girl ever!"

"No... YOU ARE! It's undeniable, we're best friends," she said, being dramatic. She fell backwards into my arms and I barely caught her. We stopped walking.

"Yep! Anyway," I said, boosting her back up onto her feet, "Tell me, how do you really feel about Alexa coming? I can tell you aren't absolutely thrilled about it."

"No, it's not that. I'm so excited! I just... I don't know what's gonna happen. What happens when I realize I wasn't worth waiting for? What if she already has a girlfriend? WHAT IF SHE'S STRAIGHT?! Oh the struggles of being a lesbian! I do have one more thing!"

I laughed, "What is it?"

"What if she's not as pretty as I thought she was? Oh wait, no, that's impossible! She has the prettiest personality, which makes it all better! Anyway, do you like anyone?"

"Not really... I haven't seen that many cute boys or anything. There was this one cute boy at Jenna's house, but that's practically impossible..."

"But he's coming too!"

"Oh... that's terrible."

"How?"

"Don't you know girls at all? We never act on our feelings! Not if we can help it," I exclaimed, "And he's so cute!"

Then we heard a voice behind us, "Ooooh, gossip?"

I shuddered, "No way."

"Yes way," the voice retorted, "I'm your worst nightmare... as well as my own."

"Shut up, Hosea!" I heard another voice say. I slowly turned around, "Azariah! Leah! I can't believe you guys are here!" It was Kelly.

I smiled, "Hey, Kelly! Sorry, Jenna isn't here right now. She kind of... she ran to headquarters a little bit ago. We just got back from a mission to save heaven."

"Wait, please tell me we're not going to be superheroes! I can't do that!" Hosea exclaimed.

I smirked, "Nope. Sadly, only cool people get to be superheroes."

"Oh, dangit... so, you aren't a superhero? That means I have to be one now, don't I?"

"What the heck? That doesn't make sense."

He clenched his fists, taking a defensive position, "Y-you don't make sense!"

I laughed, "You're kind of funny."

Leah, getting antsy, exclaimed, "WHERE'S ALEXA?!"

"Oh, she's coming. She just wanted to have a delayed entrance or something. Plus, she has a lot of stuff to carry," Kelly answered, smiling.

Leah's eyes got wide, "OH, OK. I'll be right back." Then she ran off towards the stairs to heaven.

Hosea looked back at me, looking weirded out, "What was that? Am I just now finding something out or some sh-" I covered his mouth, looking every which way.

Then I looked back at him and said, "You can't cuss here, bro." He glared at me, trying to pry my hand off.

When I finally did, he said, "Fine. Just tell me what the heck we're doing here. No one has told me yet, you know. Usually, they tell me immediately and I'm like 'ok, thanks,' but now everything is different somehow?"

"I don't know either. It was kind of random when we found out. We weren't given an actual reason. The big man just told us that it was fate or something," I responded, "You get used to it."

He laughed, "Ha... I hate it already. Anyway, we should probably get going. I hear the house is like SO far away and I don't feel like walking during the middle of the night."

"Oh, ok, bye. I'll tell Alexa where you're going when her and Leah catch up," I said, waving to the group of people. I started walking to the stairs to Earth. Then I saw Leah and Alexa. Except, they weren't the only ones I found. They were walking with another group of people who were also carrying suitcases and trashbags, making Alexa look super scared. Not Leah, though, she was talking to this bright looking girl who had a yellow shirt and a pink skirt. There were three girls and a boy who looks like he was going to kill someone. They still wore their clothes from Earth. "Oh, hey, Alexa," I said, waving awkwardly, "The rest of your siblings already went to the... house? I don't know how, but I think there's actually houses here now."

She laughed awkwardly, "What? Was there not houses here before?"

"No, but there were apartments. That doesn't matter. Who are these people?"

"They're the Cover family. Were you not told they were coming?"

I shook my head, "I don't think so. He only said that you guys were coming."

"Oh... so that's why these people have been following us?" Leah asked, no longer talking to her new friend.

"Yep..." Alexa replied nervously, still not used to being around so many people.

"Wait, are they all dark hearts, too?"

Alexa groaned, facepalming, "Please don't try to help everyone. The goal is to make friends, not make them sad they ever came here."

"Woah, sass alert. And, that is how I became your friend, so maybe it's not such a bad way to make friends," she grinned, shrugging her shoulders.

"Whatever. Anyway, I heard they're moving people around. I might actually end up living with all of these people."

"Oh... ok."

"Ugh, I was just trying to make conversation," Alexa grumbled, growling, "You didn't have to be so weird about it."

"Oh, sorry. Actually, let's talk about that-"

"You don't have to start talking about it just because I started to."

"No, it's f-"

"We're here already," I said slowly, "Everyone left already, just thought you should know... And, Alexa, you're in the same house as the Cover's. Your parents are Loraine and Boyer now. Congrats!"

"Oh... yay," Alexa said slowly.

"Oh, I kind of forget that not everyone hates their birth parents. Nevermind... this is awkward," I said, then I whispered to Leah, "HELP."

"Welp, let's help you unpack. I can carry one of your... trashbags?" Leah asked, holding out her hand. Alexa nodded, handing her one of the trashbags. I smiled, grabbing the other two trashbags. The three of us followed the group of people and went inside the new house.

"Oh, Alexa! I'll show you to your room," this man said, smiling, "Oh, I'm Boyer. I'm sure you'll get along with everyone here, they're pretty neat people."

"Ok... where's my room?" Alexa asked.

"Oh ya, you're right next to Nathan's room, which is all the way to the left, by the way. Let's go!" Alexa followed him up the stairs and he enthusiastically pointed to the room that already had the name 'Alexa,' on it.

Alexa slightly smiled, opening the bedroom, "Thanks... I'll... see you later... Boyer." Then she turned to us, "Ok, you can just drop everything and leave now, if you want."

"Ok, b-" I started.

But then Leah interrupted me, "Nah, we'll stay. We can help you."

"Actually... there's a lot of people here. So, you can leave, Azariah," Alexa said calmly. I grinned, nodding and then walking out the door.

I walked downstairs, "Oh, bye, Boyer!"

"Bye!" Boyer yelled from the kitchen. I walked out the front door and walked to the apartment building and into the front room of our house.

"Oh, hey Azariah," Jenna said, getting up from the couch. Mordecai and her were sitting in the living room, "I found Mordecai."

"Yep, I saw that. Everyone is here. Alexa, Kelly, and all of them," I replied, smiling.

"Really?!" she asked, really excited. I nodded and she ran out the door. Then she paused just outside the door, "Mordecai, come on, all our friends are waiting!"

"OH, ya, ok. I'm coming," he said, walking out the door, too.

I went into my bedroom, talking to myself, "Well, this has been a fun day. That was sarcastic, by the way."

"I know, right?" a voice asked, lingering in my head.
