Point of View Change (Leah)
The dinner was upon us and all of the children and the three sets of parents all met the big man in front of the school. Except, he's not here yet. I kind of just hung out with Alexa, talking about random things we thought of. Then, Loraine and Boyer came up to us, probably wanting to talk. Loraine smiled at me, "I don't believe we've met."
Alexa stepped up, surprising me greatly, "This is my friend Leah. She was born in heaven."
"Yep," I said, confirming what she said.
"Oh, it's nice to meet you, Leah," Loraine said, putting her hand out for me to shake.
I shook her hand and smiled, "Likewise, ma'am."
"Nice manners. I'm glad our daughter has you," Boyer added, smiling, too.
Alexa grumbled under her breath, "You're not my parents."
When they left, I turned to Alexa, "What do you mean they're not your parents?"
She glared at me, annoyed that I would even ask that, "Because they aren't my parents and neither are Bob and Linda. I don't have parents, Leah."
"Wait, what's happening? I feel like I missed something."
"I'm telling you how I don't have parents. What's so confusing about that?"
"You're just acting... different. It's kind of scary."
She rolled her eyes, "You're seriously scared of me? Please, what happened to loving me no matter what? Or were you lying to yourself? Maybe we should just chalk it up to a fake personality. That is what's happening anyway. You can't even stop lying to yourself."
I stepped back, "No... what's happening?" Then Alexa collapsed on the ground, "Ummm... help! I- Alexa?!"
Azariah rushed over, "What happened?"
"She was just... she was acting super weird and... she knew things that I've never told anyone. Then she just collapsed."
She checked her breathing, "She's still breathing. Actually, how would she die, anyway? Whatever, I'm gonna try to wake her up." She got really close to her ear and yelled, "ALEXA!"
I jumped, "What was that for, Azariah? You're gonna make her mad!"
She shrugged her shoulders, "It's not like she can get ear damage."
Then Alexa started moving, "What the heck was that?"
"You went all wacko on us. Could it have something to do with the time difference thing? I mean, you could just be tired of sleeping so much. Twenty times a day... huh," Azariah said, looking off in the distance.
I ignored it, looking back to Alexa, "Are you ok?"
She nodded, "I think so." I held out my hand, helping her stand back up. "What happened?"
"You started acting weird. Do you... do you remember what you said?"
She shook her head, "What did I say?"
"Nothing. It doesn't matter. Oh, everyone's going in, now."
She nodded, "Ok... your ride awaits, ma'am." She held out her arm and I looked my around it, smiling.
I laughed, "I didn't know this place had this much class."
"Well now you know. This is in fact a classy restaurant."
"This isn't a school?"
She laughed, shaking her head, "Nope. This is a fine establishment that serves only the finest foods. That being no food at all and a ton of board games."
"Woah. That sounds like class at its peak. I can't wait for this," I replied as we walked inside the school. "I hope we have the same classes, that would be cool."
Alexa smiled, nodding her head, "Yep. That would be pretty neat. I wonder why we all had to come to heaven."
"I think I have an idea... but that doesn't matter, I'm just glad it happened."
"Ok... well, I'm glad you got to meet everyone." We all went in and just kind of stood around. Then I saw this girl glaring at me. She had curly purple hair and dark brown eyes, "That's Elizabeth."
"Should I introduce myself?" I asked, looking over to her, still.
She shrugged her shoulders, "Sure, we can. Let's go." We walked over to her, "Hey, Elizabeth, this is my friend Leah."
"Heh, I didn't know you were gay," she responded, laughing to herself.
"What?" Alexa asked, wide eyes.
"Nothing. It doesn't matter. Why are you friends with one of the pure?" she asked, still glaring.
"She's not one of the pure. She's an angel... just like us."
"But she's not a dark heart guardian," Elizabeth pointed out.
Then someone walked up to us, "Elizabeth?!"
"What the heck? Oh no," Elizabeth whispered under her breath.
"Wait, who is she?" I asked, turning to Alexa.
Alexa shrugged, but then the girl answered, "Jessica. I'm her girlfriend."
"Are you dead?" Elizabeth asked, confused.
"No, I'm not dead. I'm an angel. Well, a dark heart guardian. I guess this explains all your siblings. But, what dark heart are you the guardian of?" Jessica asked, her hands behind her back, "Wait, no, let me guess... sassiness? Is that a thing?"
"No," she grumbled, "I'm the guardian of the dark heart stubbornness."
"Ooooh," she responded, grinning, "I'm kind of surprised that I didn't guess that first. Mine is the dark heart Greed."
"So that's why you wanted an open relationship..." Elizabeth growled.
Alexa, probably trying to make it less awkward, asked, "How did you two meet?"
Jessica grinned again, "Tumblr. It was love at first comment. Then we started talking and now we technically own a Uhaul truck together. You know, the normal relationship. She always wanted to be in the army and I always wanted to be rich with lots of jobs. So I decided I'd rent out my Uhaul truck and she could help me."
"Ya, but I never thought that you'd end up following to heaven. I should've known it was a bad sign that I could've sworn I remembered you from somewhere," Elizabeth commented.
Then Jessica got this confused look on her face, "But I don't know you. We've never met until now."
"We were in the same house for a month. At first, I was in the Johnson household. But they couldn't handle me and neither could the Norris family. Which is her family, I assume. But then, finally, the Cover's toke me in and now I'm one of them," Elizabeth said.
"Ok," Jessica responded, shrugging her shoulders, "You still want to be my girlfriend, right?"
"Ya," she muttered, looking at the ground, "As long as you don't cheat on me." Jessica smiled and somehow wrapped her arms around Elizabeth's shoulders, who was significantly taller. Then she buried her face in Elizabeth's arm.
Then Jessica turned back to us, "You two are kind of cute together. We should go on a double date."
"Oh, um, actually, we're just friends," Alexa asked, then she turned around and walked away.
I quickly followed, "That was kind of awkward," I said, laughing to myself.
Then she stopped, "Ya, I guess it kind of was. Do you wanna go look around the school building? It might be fun."
I nodded, smiling, "That is a wonderful idea." I held out my hand and she took it. We held hands and we walked around the building, looking in all of the classrooms. "I can't wait for school. I wonder if there'll be art classes or anything."
"Ya, that would be pretty cool. I hope we have classes together," Alexa said, smiling.
I nodded, "That'd be amazing. We could like always hang out." Later on, after we had been playing games for a while, I widened my eyes, "Home. We need to go back home for sleep, Azariah."
"She needs 12 hours every night," Azariah whispered to Alexa as we started to leave.

I woke up to a bright room. Loraine and Boyer had given me a room in between Nathan and Fatima. The order from left to right was Nathan, me, Fatima, Elizabeth and then Diya. They told me it was important that the doors were in this order for some reason. Which kind of made me scared of Diya, since they did say that it was to protect Nathan, but they wouldn't explain why. I got dressed and rushed downstairs. Everyone was grabbing books when I got down, but I didn't have one, so I just walked outof the door. Just before I left, Loraine asked, "Do you not have a book to read?" I shook miyi head and she held out a book for me, smiling. It was kind of weird, but I took it and ran off to catch up with Fatima and the others. We got to school, walking in the double doors. I saw Leah, Azariah, Jenna, and Mordecai, so I went over to them. Azariah gave me this paper with a numbered list going to 10. It read:
1-Math
2-Language Arts
3-Social Studies
4-Science
5-Writing
6-Art
7- Free Time
8-Current Events
9-Gym
10-Music
"Oh, it's your schedule," Azariah responded, "Wait, how long will we have to go school? I don't know about you, Leah, but I've already done my time in school. I don't really like the idea of going for another lifetime."
Leah shrugged, "Maybe like 5 years or something at least."
"Wait, I was already only TWO years from never going to school ever again!" Azariah complained, throwing her arms up in frustration.
Then Jenna asked, "What classes does everyone have?" We exchanged lists and realized we all had the same classes. We walked into our assigned classroom and the teacher introduced themself as Mrs. Adelaide. Then she started teaching an I kind of dozed off immediately. I pretty much knew the drill by now. Everyone will probably be asleep pretty soon, actually.

Suddenly, I felt deja vu and I zoned out, trying to read the teacher's thoughts. But, I only heard math. Then I started wondering what Azariah's thoughts were. She was sitting to my left. We all sat in a row of two person desks. Mordecai sat all the way to the right, me sitting next to him. In the middle desk was Azariah and Hosea for some reason. Leah and Alexa sat all the way to the left. I HAD to know what they were thinking about. Abandoning the Azariah idea, I listened into what Leah's head was saying and she was mostly just thinking about how happy she was that Alexa was with her. Then I heard, "Jenna, the teacher is trying to talk to you," and Mordecai was shaking my shoulder.
"Oh, what is it?" I asked, looking at the teacher.
"Are you even listening?" he asked, glaring at me.
I shook my head, "I'm gonna be honest, I am not."
"Ok, this is easy, first detention of the day. Congratulations, Jenna," she responded sarcastically, "If any of you want join her, there's plenty of spots open."
Then Azariah raised her hand, "May I go get a drink from the water fountain, ma'am?"
The teacher nodded, "Ok, ya, you can go."
Then Hosea raised his hand, too, "Can I go to the bathroom?"
The teacher nodded and after a while I raised my hand, too, "Can I go to the bathroom?"
"No, Jenna, I'm not an idiot. Two people can't go to the bathroom at the same time. Now start listening to the lesson already," she responded.
I rolled my eyes, "Dangit." Then I heard Leah laughing in her head and I just wanted to tell her to shut up. 'What? Why can I hear you talking, Jenna?' Then I thought, "Ugh, I can talk to people with my powers?" She groaned, 'Do you really think I like this either? The Azariah thing. Something is definitely going to happen. Do you have a plan?' "Ya, tell her you need to go. She'd probably say yes." She laughed, 'I got an idea now.'
Leah raised her hand and asked, "Can I go to the bathroom? Ma'am, I'm about to pee my pants. Please, it's an emergency." The teacher reluctantly nodded and she left the room.

I rushed out the door and went to the waterfountain. From a distance I saw Azariah and Hosea. I walked over and asked, "What are you doing, Azariah?"
"I-I'm getting a drink..." Azariah responded slowly.
"Why are you talking to him?" I asked, squinting my eyes.
She shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know. We're just... friends, I think. Is that a... bad thing?"
"I don't know... Jenna just told me to come out here so I did and I don't know who that is, but somehow you do," I responded.
She laughed, "Oh, that. I thought you were mad. This is Hosea, Jenna's brother."
"Wait, are you Leah?" Hosea asked, laughing, "Are you the one who has a crush on Alexa?"
I shook my head, "I don't know what you're talking about. I'm not the one on trial here, it's you. You're the one who's probably gonna get beat up by Jenna, not me."
"She's gonna what?" he asked, looking panicked, "Maybe I can leave school early..."
"Why are you so scared? She's my best friend, but she's also really short and I'm not gonna lie, I don't think she has much muscle," Azariah said, laughing.
"Ok, that is not ok, Azariah. Not a good thing to say," I said, slapping her on the forehead, "Anyway, ya, why are you so scared of her? She seems pretty nice."
"That's because you didn't see Jenna before she came to heaven and got actual friends. She's the scariest person I've ever had the DISpleasure of meeting. She's too strong and she knows how to push my buttons," Hosea responded.
Azariah laughed, "You have buttons to push?"
"Ya, Azariah, I'm a normal human being. Not much makes me mad or hurts me, but Jenna does both and it's terrible. That's when it gets m-" Then the bell rang and we waited for Jenna and the others outside of the classroom.
Jenna came out and asked me, "Can you clear the hallway?"
I shook my head, "I can't do that, Jenna. Don't fight him."
"Fine, idiot, get over here. Let's hug it out," Jenna said, motioning towards Hosea.
Hosea shook his head, "I wasn't born this morning, Jenna."
"Whatever. Who cares? It'll just come later in the day. How's 2:30PM?"
Hosea's face expression changed to annoyed and he said, "Ok, let's go, Jenna."
"Hehehe, that's the Hosea I know," Jenna exclaimed, pointing to Hosea.
Mordecai walked up, grabbing onto Jenna's arm, "Nope, don't do this, Jenna."
"What? Am I too evil for you? Am I not good enough to protect my friends? Do you really think I'm gonna lose, Mordecai? How dare you," she responded, glaring up at Mordecai.
Mordecai rolled his eyes, "No, Jenna, you don't have to protect anyone right now."
Hosea grinned, "No, Mordecai, I got this. What are you waiting for, Jenna?" Jenna slipped out of Mordecai's grip and walked over to Hosea.
"One two three?" I asked, grinning.
"What's one two three?" Azariah asked, sounding worried.
"We count to three in our head as fast as we can and then punch the other," Hosea responded, "I'm so good at it."
"Whatever. GO," Jenna yelled. Then after a moment, they both punched each other in the face, Hosea hitting Jenna first. Hosea fell to the ground, his mouth bleeding.
Azariah kneeled down next to him, "What the heck, Hosea? Are you ok?"
"Get out of the way, Azariah. The fight isn't over yet," Hosea said, motioning her away.
