Point of View (Leah)
I started walking forward, not really knowing where the bow was taking me in the first place. I didn't even know if it was the bow urging me to go down one street after the next, eventually ending up in front of a park. This is where it gets complicated, all three of them sat right next to each other. I looked into the sky, "Really? It could've been anything. You could've made them at least a little bit away from each other. What the heckity heck is this?!"
"Leah, what do you mean?" Alexa asked, turning around on the bench. I laughed, trying to figure out how to play it off.
I eventually got out, "Well, my three favorite people are here! I can't believe it! So great!"
"Actually, I have to talk to you," Claire said, turning around, too.
Alexa pushed Claire's face away, "Nope, I gotta talk to you more."
Then Coretha got up and walked over to me, "I have something to say... don't interrupt me. I have a crush on you, Leah. And, you're cupid, so..." she said, grabbing an arrow from my quiver. She slowly took the arrow towards her chest. "Shoot me." But then I felt my bow drag me somewhere else.
I smiled awkwardly, laughing, "Sorry... it's not you." I took the arrow and looked between Claire and Alexa, so bad wanting it to be Alexa. But, I don't know. Will I ever love again? Can I love someone if I still have a broken heart? Shakespeare. I thought about Claire, knowing it'd be impossible to ever forget her. She was the person who made me realize how much of a lesbian I am. But... she never even loved me back. True love is always mutual. So, feeling the bow pull even more and more, I walked over to Alexa. Alexa, the first girl that I ever wanted to just be friends with. She's... she's one of my best friends. "I will always love you," I said, pushing the arrow into her arm. Then I took another arrow and pushed it into my leg. The screen went black and then the word 'Congrats!' filled the entire screen in rainbow colors. I was just happy that the two girls from the store were soulmates. I smiled, hoping more than anything to finally be Alexa's friend.
I got out of the room, only to be greeted by the big man, "So, I was a great narrator, wasn't I?"
I laughed, "Ha, sure. But... please don't tell anyone... ever!"
"Tell them what?"
"Don't pretend to not know what I'm talking about. I'm talking about my gamertag. I didn't think anyone would see."
"Oh... ok. Anyway, I have to ask you something... how did you figure out that the girl in the penguin club was Domiel?"
"I just looked at her hair," I responded, shrugging my shoulders.
"What color is your dress, Leah?"
"Umm... white, just like everyone else's... why?"
Point of View Change (The Teacher)
I looked at her rainbow dress, smiling only on the inside, "Yep, you're colorblind."
She laughed, "Ha, no way. I can see colors. Just like I know I have blonde hair and you have brown hair."
"Oh, eek, wrong description. You can't see the right colors. Your dress isn't white. What maniac would make every single dress in heaven completely white?"
"Well... we're angels, though. So... you?"
"Ya, you're angels, but I made you with personalities. You just thought I... got rid of self expression?"
"Well then, what color is my dress?"
I laughed, "I'm not telling. That would ruin the surprise. But, it is why I've gathered all the dark hearts."
"Oh... ok. What are you gonna do?"
"I think you'll find it to be a blast from the past."
She looked at me with this horrified look on her face, "What? Claire is coming back too?"
I gasped, "NO, absolutely not. I don't raise angels from the dead, I can't. Once they're gone, they can't fully come back."
"Oh... I guess that makes things easier. Anyway, bye."
Point of View Change (Azariah)
"So, you're the guardian of children? Is that... a dark heart?" I asked.
Andrea laughed, "No, absolutely not. But, I am the guardian of Joash. He's fire, but... it's complicated. I'm kind of like a fill in for someone else... who doesn't exist. But, he helps me protect children from the monsters under their bed."
"Yep," Joash said, agreeing. Oh ya, I forgot. The two angels who had been left behind were Andrea and Joash, who were both still catching up on missions that they'd miss and so forth. Aparently, they can time travel, but only for missions. Andrea had blonde, wavy hair and she had these really tall tennis shoes that had neon colors. Then she had this shirt that had shorts attached with a belt and suspenders. Joash just wore a dark blue jacket with jeans. Oh, and they were in Bob and Linda's house with Jenna. When we got to the house, we found out that this kid named Olly was going to be taking Alexa's place. We also found out that most of them were the guardians of the seven deadly sins. I also heard that Hosea is one of the four horsemen guardians, but I just shook it off, knowing that couldn't be true. He's way too put together.
"Azariah, you wanna help me unpack?" Andrea asked, going inside, "Wait, where's Alexa's room?"
"Oh, did I not mention? Jenna is getting transferred to the Cover house," I responded.
Andrea stopped in her tracks, turning around to me, "WHAT? No way. I need to say goodbye! I haven't said goodbye."
"She's not that far, actually. You could just go over later and say hello."
"Ok..." she said, slowly making her way up to her room. I followed her, carrying some of her bags.
"Anyway, what's your favorite color?" I asked, opening one of her trashbags.
She smiled, "Red, because... I don't know... it's just a pretty color. Like your hair."
I laughed, "Mine is blue..."
"Like what?"
"Hmmm..." I started, "I don't know. Let me think on that." Then fake Hosea popped up again, "Oh, like Hosea's eyes. That's a pretty nice color."
"Oh," she said, laughing, "That's cool. I didn't know you met Hosea already."
"Ya... it's a long story. Technically, I just met him today, but in a more very real sense, I lived through one of Jenna's memories that he happened to be in."
She looked at me, confused, "That's... I don't know what to say."
Fake Hosea scoffed, "You messed it all up already."
"Should I tell you the story while we unpack?"
She nodded, "Yes, please."
One Already Told Story Later
"OH, ok. Too bad I wasn't there. That would be so cool if we could've met... before we met," Andrea said, getting confused towards the end.
"Ya... all three of us went through each other's childhoods. Well, a day out of our childhood," I responded.
"Oh... that doesn't sound that great. But now, all of you are probably closer."
I nodded, "Yep... I guess so. I mean, it's a little weird now that Leah knows all of my secrets, but that's good, I guess."
"Oh, if someone knew all my secrets... I'd be devastated. I can only imagine how you... feel. I'm sorry."
"Ya... sorry about that. I don't usually share this much. I'm just... tired."
"Really? Because I am incredibly energetic. Of course, I don't sleep, so that's probably why, but... I just really wanna run around like a whole bunch right now."
I grinned, "Ok, let's go run around."
"Really?!" she asked, really excited. I nodded and we ran out the door. We found a field and started chasing each other, not really playing tag or anything. Once we got tired, Andrea and I collapsed on the ground, "Why are there no stars?"
"I don't know. I was pretty disappointed when I found out, too," I responded, smiling. The sky was still beautiful. It was still pretty light out, so it was dark blue.
Then fake Hosea showed up again, laying on the ground next to me, "Isn't the sky so pretty? Just like my eyes, huh? Oh, you don't have to talk. I'll do the talking. You like her, don't you?"
Then another Andrea appeared, "No, she doesn't. She loves me."
"She's straight, idiot," fake Hosea said, flicking the fake Andrea in the forehead. That exact moment was when I realized I was going crazy and I'm officially insane.
"Do you know how many people became lesbians after being just a highly invested ally? Like, so many."
"That's not a valid statistic, Andrea."
"Whatever. You're just jealous that I'm the only one that's different. That she hasn't had nightmares of you and her being together sexually."
"Not every boy is gonna take advantage of her!"
"Shut up!"
Then Andrea, who's face was already very close, turned to me and smiled, "You know, Hosea would be lucky to have you."
"She's rooting for me!" the fake Hosea exclaimed as I turned to Andrea.
"Honestly, I don't even know what I feel anymore. Is that weird?" I asked, staring in her eyes, "I think this is the fourth time I've completely reimagined my future."
"Who's it with?" she whispered.
I breathed, "You. But I d-" But I was cut off, Andrea kissing me.
She laughed, "Why?"
"I don't know. You just... you're just... so... me."
She frowned, "Oh... ok, sorry about that."
"Sorry about what?"
"I'm sorry for getting your hopes up."
"Wait, no, are you rejecting me?" I asked, losing hope.
"Yes... I guess I am."
"Wait, no, give me a chance. Let me try, at least."
She laughed, "Azariah, you're straight."
"How do you know that?"
"I just do. It's like... an intuition. I'm pretty good at this stuff. You don't like girls."
I frowned, "But... I like you."
"Why do you like me?"
"Because... you're so... amazing. And you don't take advantage of me."
"Those are good reasons. But, I'm just what you want to be. You wanna be like me. That's why you also kind of think Leah's cute, too. You wanna be nice to everyone, but it's hard for you," the fake Andrea explained, frowning.
"Really?" I asked, "I'm... thank you, Andrea."
She looked at me weird, "I didn't say anything, though."
"That's what you think," I replied, smiling, "Life lesson learned. And, thanks, that was... my first kiss."
She panicked, "OH NO. I totally forgot about first kisses. That was mine, too! OH NO, MY PARENTS ARE GONNA KILL ME!"
"AUGH! We're screwed, Andrea. What do we do?"
"Don't you know what to do?! OH NO OH NO OH NO OH NOOOO. What am I gonna tell Joash?" she asked, freaking out. We both were freaking out, what are we supposed to do now? They always talk about how awesome kissing is, but they never mention what you're supposed to do afterwards when you realize you just had your first kiss and you're not even dating. I've been cheated out of so much education!
"What are you two doing?" a voice said behind me.
Andrea sighed in relief, "I'm so glad you're here, Joash! I'm freaking out and so is she."
I whisper yelled, "Don't you dare tell him while I'm here."
"Ok, ok. What do we do, Joash?" she asked, her eyes wide.
"What happened?" Joash asked, confused.
"I can't tell you, but something terrible just happened. Comfort us."
Trying his best, he said, "It'll be ok... I mean, you're still alive... right?"
"I don't know..."
I groaned, "Ugh, whatever. We kissed. I was a stupid teenager and we kissed. It was both of our first kisses. It's whatever, though. I know I'm straight, now, at least."
He looked at me, confused, "Why would that be a bad thing again?"
Andrea rolled her eyes, "Joash, humans think of their first kisses as the most sacred thing ever! I took her first kiss!"
"And I took hers!" I exclaimed.
"Mine wasn't ever considered as sacred because I don't care for human traditions, but that doesn't matter. Something I didn't know was there, is gone now! It's gone! She took it!"
"YA! Her first kiss is gone! It left too soon and it's all my fault!"
"No way. It was all me. You were even talking when I kissed you. I interrupted you just to take your first kiss! OH NO, I'm kiss stealer! WHAT THE HECK?!"
