Chapter 3
Seeing her sit up with all her mind intact, they both seemed happy and relieved. Botan Date then reached up gently looking at her neck, the marks he had made were gone. Healed completely in no time flat. Drinking the blood right away has made sure everything healed. Smiling satisfied. He turned to Tsubasa with a nod of satisfaction.
Botan Date: "Apparently the awakening was a complete success. It does not appear that any traits the lessors show has come to pass. Let us be grateful that none of the bad traits came through."
Kaida Endo: (With a huge sigh of relief crossing her lips, she put a hand to her chest in relief…) "Well that's good then. By the way, how long was I asleep for? It feels like I have been asleep for a week. So well rested, it is so damn odd?"
Tsubasa Endo: (Lightly stretching he yawned big as he told her…) "You were asleep for forty-nine hours. I spent most of my time holding you in my arms. I am glad to see that you are awake and well."
Botan Date: (Shaking his head in mutual agreement…) "I am very much relieved as well. Not all awakenings in the past have gone quite this smoothly. Let us hope your brother is as smooth as your transition was."
Kaida Endo: (Lightly shaking her head in acknowledgement…) "Yes, that would be nice. By the way, whose blood am I drinking? It tastes oddly familiar?"
Tsubasa Endo: "It is a mix of our blood. He brought in a bottle with his blood in it already, and he used a syringe to take some from me to add to it. It was necessary. You see how you reacted upon waking up right? Apparently, that is a normal thing. So, we gave you blood."
Kaida Endo: "So they took mine for your then. Makes sense now. I hope I did not cause to much worry for everyone."
They both laughed lightly at the fact she was worried about them instead of the other way around. Shaking their heads, they gave a look of relief and amusement. Botan then turned back to them both and let them know what Kaida must do for him now. She simply nodded at what he was saying then looked to her brother.
Kaida Endo: "Do I need to wait a few days, or should I do it today?
Botan Date: (Shrugging his shoulders as though it were completely obvious everyone…) "You can do it today; your awakening was a success. If you would like me to help with guidance on the process, I can do that for you."
Kaida Endo: (Smiling softly, she looked at him in thanks…) "That would be most helpful. Why does it have to be me though, could you have done it?
Botan Date: (Shaking his head fervently from side to side as he waved his hands in front of himself…) "No, it has to be the opposite sex. Since you are the only Pure blood female here, it must be you. Do you understand?"
Kaida Endo: (Slumping her shoulders dejectedly, she hung her head down as she sighed…) "Yes, I understand. Then please help me when we are ready."
My brother looked at me, nodding as if he now fully understood himself. The look upon his face clearly said "I hate fate", sighing heavily he gave a worn look. He gave a slight smile before leaning back on the bedding. It was obvious he stayed up the entire time I was asleep. I reached my hand down to let him know I would be fine now.
Kaida Endo: (With a pleading look to him…) "Please sleep now brother. We will tend to your awakening once you have rested for a while. After all, you were up with me the whole time. Now it is your turn to rest well before we get to anything else."
He smiled in acknowledgment and closed his weary eyes. I then turned my attention back to Botan Date. After all my brother did for me, I want to make sure I do this process properly. This is all just so new to us; I cannot afford to mess things up. I have such a heavy burden placed upon me and will need all the support I can get to get through it.
Kaida Endo: (Looking at Botan with a pleading look upon her face, she bowed slightly as she asked for help…) "Please help me when he wakes up later on with the process. Fate sure can be a major bitch at times."
Botan Date: (Shrugging his shoulders slightly, he nodded his head in agreement to her statement…) "Well, I cannot argue with that. Are you feeling alright now? It probably would be best to finish the bottle. Our urges can be controlled well if we drink at least once a week minimum. But thanks to the town, we get donations from the people inside. So, there is no need to worry."
Kaida Endo: (With a look of relief on her face…) "That's good to know. I have seen the areas outside that look like they are storing plenty of food for the humans. I hope they are as happy as you have described them to be."
He smiled softly and offered me his hand. I took hold of his hand and stood up. Wobbling slightly, I ended up leaning against Botan. He steadied me and offered me his arm. Blushing hard, I looked down at the floor as I did not know where to look. Then we slowly walked out of the room heading toward the bath area. It finally dawned on me that it had been two long days since my last scrub down. I was completely surprised when I saw a scented bath bomb placed on the shelf. Botan then bowed lightly after I thanked him, and he said he would return in a while. I took my time and enjoyed my bath putting on the new kimono that had been placed in the changing area while I bathed.
It was the most beautiful floral pattern I had ever seen. And one of the most expensive looking ones I had ever had the pleasure of being able to wear. It was pure silk, so luxurious, soft, and very pleasant to the touch. I put it on standing in front of the oddly colored smoke mirror. After a few minutes, one of the maids came in and helped me to fix my hair and sash properly. Double checking that I had put the kimono on properly, she smiled happily before bowing and heading out of the room. I was then escorted back to my room by Botan himself. I felt kind of special for some odd reason. As we reached my door, he then turned to me handing me another small bottle of rouge filled liquid. I took it thanking him as I did. We entered my room as I walked toward my brother still laying on the floor. He snored softly as he turned over onto his side, he mumbled something softly while he was asleep; it was clear he was having a hard time sleeping soundly. I then turned back toward Botan.
Kaida Endo: (Bowing slightly as I asked for assistance…) "Please help me with the process when he wakes up. We should have the maid bring that syringe filled with my blood here. We'll need to get it ready for him."
Botan Date: "That's a good idea I will have her do that right away. We can use the bottle you used. So, it will not be an issue. I will also make sure there is a donation amount too. Plus, a little bit of mine as well. It's a precautionary thing."
I nodded in agreement and sat down beside my brother while he hollered at the maid to retrieve the syringe. He then turned back my direction and sat down on one of the chairs in the corner of the room. After a couple of hours, we had the blood mixed up in the bottle. Mine and a donation amount from one of the many kind-hearted villagers. We proceeded to wake my brother up and made sure he got in a good bath before the process knowing he would be asleep for at least two days. He had no objections and came back to the room after eating a decent sized dinner. We then proceed with my brothers awakening. With Botan's guidance, things went smoothly as he carefully explained the proper position and area to bite. Once he had finished swallowing and he was now sleeping on the makeshift bed.
We kept the bottle filled with the blood chilled next to the bed just in case his possible awakening time was shorter than mine. I sat with him as he did me, holding him through all his jolts. Around forty-seven hours later, my brother began to wake up. I was there straight away giving him small amounts of blood from the wine jug as he slowly got his bearings. He leaned into me as I began to hand him the bottle so he could drink himself. After about half an hour he was able to sit on his own and was gradually drinking the liquid. Botan then came back to the room, knocking on the door, I hollered for him to enter and he came and sat down after grabbing a chair from the wall. He then looked at us with a satisfied smile. Pleased that we both came out of the awakening intact. He seemed overjoyed and shocked at how well we did.
