The students gathered in the courtyard. It was their tenth day of training, so far so good, but except for Lane. He didn't make as much progress as the others since he didn't have any special abilities like the others.

The other students' growth was far beyond Lane's growth. Their strength was almost superhuman and Lane was still an ordinary high school student that couldn't do anything. The other students even compared their stats against each other. Lane didn't even have any status window. He didn't understand why he didn't have one. It might be because of God's blessing, but he doubted it. It might be because the crystal was broken, that was just his theory.
"Lane, have a duel with me," Julia said. She was one of the magic-user among the students. She was very proficient in magic. Well, for the starter, she was as proficient as an archmage on the Falen kingdom.
"What? Hell no. You'll just beat me up," Lane said. She knew that Julia often shot him with a real lethal projectile, she knew that she wanted to fiddle with him since the spell that she shot always missed.
"Lane, this is a request. You have to accept it," one of the trainers in that courtyard said. Lane had no exception except for agreeing to that offer.
"Fine," Lane sighed and he accepted that duel. Both of them gained some distance and the trainer became a referee for that duel.
Julia started casting their spell. Lane readied his sword, "START!" the referee shouted and they started attacking. Julia cast a spell and fired a barrage of water arrows at Lane's direction.
Lane didn't have any time to react and immediately block the attack with his sword. Some of the arrows hit his body, it was very hurtful. It didn't take Julia too long until Lane surrendered since he suffered a wound.
"HALT! The winner is Julia," the trainer said and Lane stood up. The trainers were cheering Julia up for winning while Lane was scolded by one of the trainers.
The trainer took Lane to the corner of the courtyard, "Look, you aren't trying hard enough. Look at the others! Aren't you ashamed of yourself?"
It wasn't because Lane didn't train hard enough. In fact, he was the one who trained harder than all of them. He just couldn't compete with someone who had a superpower ability.
Those students besides Lane were more agile, faster, stronger, and even more durable than Lane. It wasn't any surprise that Lane couldn't keep up, he was an ordinary human. How could he compete with them? Train harder? He couldn't level up either since he was a human from earth. Not a human from Terra.
He didn't have any status window like almost everyone in that world. Hell, even the trainer has a status window for themselves. Lane was a misfit in that world. The best thing that he could have was to return back to the earth.
"But sir..." Lane tried reasoning the trainer but he couldn't because he was too ignorant to listen to his reasoning. Besides, he was very underperforming in comparison to the other students.
"But sir? You don't train as hard as your friends. Period," the trainer said, and the other students were watching Lane being scolded by the trainer. The trainer simply didn't know that Lane didn't have any status window.
"Trainer, please forgive my friend for his incompetence," Kelly said and the others started talking about Lane too.
One of the students, in particular, Jack Kochler, was the one who interested to badmouth him further, "Guys, starting from today, we'll call Lane as the weak one, agree with me?"
"I agree," Dina said.
"Sure, why not?" Lisane said.
Every single one of those students agreed to call Lane as the weak one. As a result, Lane was bullied. Well, he had already got used to bullying so why should he be bothered now.
"Ok, enough commotion. Everyone, back to your own room. Lane, you're coming with me," the trainer said and the students followed his order.
Lane followed that trainer into the castle. The students went back to their own room, but Lane went to a place. It was the king's office. The trainer knocked on the door.
"Come in," a voice came from behind the door.
The trainer and Lane entered that room and he could see the king was thinking about something. "Please, sit down," the king said.
The trainer and Lane sat down on chairs located in front of the king and they conversed about what they should do about Lane. At that point, Lane was ready to accept any advice that could make him stronger.
"Lane, why aren't you training hard enough?" The king said.
"I'm training hard enough your majesty," Lane said, but the trainer immediately intervened.
"Your majesty, this kid barely perform well on the training. He couldn't even keep up with our ordinary knight," the trainer said.
"Is it right? Lane," the king asked.
"Yes, that is correct your majesty," Lane looked down. He knew that he couldn't keep up with superhumans.
The only reason why he kept training with his friends was that almost everyone forced him to do the training. The guards and the trainers were forcing him to train, but he also knew that he was useless. He couldn't spend his time at the library since the king didn't allow him to do so if the others were training.
The only thing that Lane wanted to do was to get back to his Earth. He wasn't a human from Terra, he was a human from earth. He wasn't any superhuman, she was just a regular human that was forced to compete with superhumans.
"I see. I'll plan something to make you stronger. Until that day, could you train harder than before?" The king asked Lane.
"I'll try, but I can't guarantee that your majesty," Lane said.
"Ok, could both of you leave now? I'm busy," the king said as he continued to see at the documents that were on his table.
"Yes, of course, your majesty," the trainer said as Lane and he stood up from the chairs in front of the king. Both of them left the room and they headed for the courtyard. After that, the trainers continued training the students to fight while Lane was trying harder than before, pushing his limit as an ordinary human.

'Finally, it's over,' Lane was in the library of the palace. He was taking a break from that rigorous training that was designed for superhumans. He felt that almost every muscle on his body was sore as hell.
He always spent the evening in the library. He could be either sleeping in the library or got one of the butlers moved him to his room. It was always the same cycle over and over again.
"Master, where should I put the dinner?" One of the maids said.
"Just put it on the table. Thanks," Lane said.
Lane continued reading the books in the library. The books that he read was about the mystical forest or the dungeon. To put it simply, both were mysterious spaces that were built way before the human and demon age. They were built by the Gods during world creation. Both of them could be governed by a demon or a human.
Exploring a dungeon required a squad full of people or you would die. There was a saying that went around the adventurer's mouth, "If you go to the dungeon alone, you better off make your will first."
It was obvious that the dungeon and mystical forest were a very serious place, but he also knew that in each of those places, a high-value loot was always available.
The books told them that every single dungeon contained the materials to make tools that were stronger than an average tool that humans could make.
'so all of my friend's equipment came from the dungeon?' Lane looked at the description of the equipment that was looted from the dungeon.
All of those high-tier items were obtained from the dungeon. Those colorful swords and things were from the dungeon. It made Lane wondered, what kind of weapon that was appropriate for him.
'Not a mage, not a swordsman, not an Archer nor a lancer. So what's my class?' Lane wondered as he continued reading his book about the description of classes and status plate.
Ok, so he read multiple books on that library that described the description of each class. In basic, the stats were divided into some basic stats, strength, perception, endurance, intelligence, agility.
Swordman: Mainly using a sword as their main weapon. Increasing damage of the sword itself and the chance of penetrating armor. Any swordsman can use any sword easier than other classes.
Archer: Mainly using bow or crossbow as their main weapon. Increasing the ease of use of any bow or crossbow. The damage of any bow will increase and armor penetration will be increased. Any Archer can use any bow or crossbow than other classes.
Mage: Mainly using magical devices or staff. Increasing the ease of usage for any magical device. The damage of any staff will be increased and armor penetration will also be increased. Any mage can use any staff or mage easier than other classes.
Lancer: mainly using Lance as a main weapon. Increasing the ease of usage for any lance. The damage of any lance will be increased and armor penetration will also be increased. Any lancer could use any Lance easier than other classes.
There was the only class available on Terra. Lane slept in the library again after that.
