Chapter 5 - I'm Different: Part 5

'What the hell?' Lane noticed a sword pierced his body, but he couldn't pull it out. When he touched that sword, he felt that the sword just burning him alive.

"Should have done this sooner," Kelly said as he slashed that sword to Lane's neck and kicked Lane to the graveyard.

Lane fell down to that grave and Julia appeared on top of that graveyard. She shot a fireball spell at Lane's head to make sure that he was dead.

"Ok, bury him!" The trainer said as the heroes started moving the dirt to that grave to bury Lane on that unmarked grave.

Slowly, the dirt above Lane's body became thicker and thicker. It eventually buried his body under a thick layer of dirt. Lane didn't have any power to resist nor move. He only could hear the last bit of conversation from the heroes that were burying him alive.

"Congrats. You're the hero tomorrow. Make us proud son," a guard said to one of the heroes. From the sound of it, the person that he was referring to was Kelly since his leadership skills were the one who caught the interest of the king.

"Thanks, sir. Don't worry, without Lane around, heroes will win against the demon without the weight of carrying a weakling," Kelly said proudly.

"Yes, I agree on the last point with you. Well, if the king doesn't approve your plan, we'll never do it in the first place," the guard said.

"Yeah. See you later Lane. Hahaha," Kelly said as he spits into Lane's grave. The heroes walked away from that grave as Lane was buried alive in that grave.

'Where am I?' the first thing that Lane could think of after being buried alive. Yes, he was buried alive, but suddenly the ground beneath him collapse and he fell into a dark cave beneath him.

Now, he sat down on the dark cave with a hole in the abdomen with a poison that started spreading across his entire body.

'My God, it hurts' his inner thought said that. His blurry vision saw a dark pond reflecting light from a small hole above, and Lane could see his reflection on the pond. His face was unrecognizable, but the droplet of blood fell down to the pond.

His legs felt as if was numb as hell, guess he could no longer move. His belly was burning and as if something was bitting his intestine from inside and out; his inside started to eat his own body. His throat, hell, even he could no longer breathe from his nose. His mind started going crazy.

'I should've known better'

'Who are you? Why can't you fight?'

'I can't they're too strong.'

'You're just trying to reason for your weakness. You deserve to die here.'

'Guess I deserve it, huh, getting killed by my own comrades and die in a dark cave in another world. Friends, if we met again, I will pull all of you to the deepest part of hell.'

Lane felt that fighting for his life was no longer worth it, besides, he got his parents waiting on the other sides.

He thought to himself, 'Let me die quickly' With his hand, he crawled to the pond, centimeter by centimeter, eventually, he got to that pond which was deep enough for him. With his last remaining power, he drowned himself in that pond, and no longer later, he had no more power to fight back and he fell unconscious.

In that dark abyss, Lane felt that his bodies were burned alive, at the end of that abyss was a chain, he walked closer to that chain, and the chain moved by itself and tying Lane who was barely moving and wasn't wearing any clothes.

The chain wrecked Lane's bodies, the chain was glowing hot and tied across every inch of his body including the arms, legs, and head. He felt as if his head was burned inside and out. The chain pulled him through the dark abyss to the burning flame.

"Lane, time for your divine punishment!" A godly sound could be heard.

'No No NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO' he screamed, but he couldn't because his mouth was sewn shut.

The chain dipped him to the ground of that flaming ground, his back was burned to crisp, but it regenerated. A big ax fell from above and slashed Lane's body in two. Then came two figures, Kelly and Julia, but demonized, with a horn.

They came to Lane's direction and slashed Lane's body multiple times. After that, Kelly brought a very large machete and cut Lane's head. Anton would describe that sensation as fried inside a stove and cut by a blender.

'Fuck you! I will kill you'

"Hahaha," they laughed. "Weak link, how does it feel can't fight back?" Julia cut his body multiple times, "but how would you fight back?" She further laughed and stabbed Lane's heart multiple times.

'I swear I will kill you' he struggled to get out of the chain, but the chain got tighter and squished out Lane's abdomen.

Even he started to vomit his own intestines. Kelly and Julia walked away from him. The chain pulled him up to the sky. Above the sky, the chain put him on a concrete road.

The chain retracted itself back to the ground after releasing Lane and in front of him, there was a very big building.

The building was as high as a tall rise building, and it was some sort of modern kind of building that was located in a busy commercial district.

Outside of the building, there were several soldiers guarding it in military uniform with an assault rifle. Lane approached that building and the soldier without any question apprehended him and put a cuff on him. They threw him inside a lift which took him to the highest floor.

He tried to stand up from that elevator and saw his host who invited him to that building. He was terrifying, a lion head with six goat head resembling a sun, he sat down on a chair similar to a boss' chair. He said with a confident voice, "I guess even your fellow kind doesn't accept you either. Perhaps, you're that unlucky one."

"Excuse me... but I think I recognize you," Lane said in a slow voice. This creature seemed to be not that dangerous, but he still couldn't decide that for himself yet. Better play it carefully, Lane knew better.

"I know you. You sure have known me. Can you say what my name is, kid?" he asked in a tone similar to a father asking his son.

"Sir, you must be President Buer who has fifty legions of demons under his command. He teaches and moral philosophy and the virtues of all herbs and plants, and also capable of healing all infirmities (especially of men) and bestows good familiar."

He laughed at Lane's answer, "Hahaha, you're right kid. I'm President Buer, the great president of hell, or demons if you like to say. I'm more known for Father of Intelligence in the demon's eyes. However, I know that you fear me, let me change my form first."

That demon changed his form into a very handsome man with short hair and a light mustache, in short, he looked like a young CEO wearing a black suit.

"Please, help yourselves by getting some clothes from my wardrobe," the demon let him go for his clothes cabinet in the back of his office.

Lane went there in embarrassment, and Buer just laughed at it. Lane went back to the office with a black suit and tie which fitting perfectly in him.

Lane sat down on a couch in front of that demon chair and his secretary came to his office while bringing a cup of coffee and poured it into two small cups. She left and Buer sipped that coffee is such a gentleman way, "Please, before it gets cold." Lane sipped on that coffee.

"So... Lane, I know what you have gone through and I know how it feels to lose your parents at such a young age. Still, I even don't feel that kind of despair when I was your age. Factum Vieri Infectum Non Potest,  it's impossible for a deed to be undone, you have been killed by your own friends. That's a fact."

"They're not my friends."

"I know, Condemnant quo non intellegunt, They condemn that which they do not understand, [Null] is not talentless. It means that your talents are not defined yet. Still, I'm quite ashamed that humans can be eviler than a demon. So what? You're killed by your own friends? That's too bad."

"What do you want? Sir."

"What do I want? Well, I want to help you. In fact, better, if you help me, I will help you. A good deal don't you think?"

"How can I know that I'm not being tricked into another trickery?"

"Simple, I'm a man of my words. You can vouch on that, but you better be prepared though. Do you know the voice in your head? I will be that."

"How can you help me? I'm dead with my neck slitted open."

"Well, actually no." He turned on the TV in his office and shown his body was laying down in the pond, unscratched without any injuries.

"Bael once said to me. There will be a human entering this structure of yours, make sure to lend him your power, he won't make it without it. At that point, the human has become too corrupt even by demon's standard. My goal is to unite the human and demon."

"Is there any dungeon in this world besides yours sir?"

"From the big player, I don't think so, even Bael didn't make one. I think there are dungeons across the world made by a lesser demon, but I don't care too much about it. My dungeon is a hundred floors deep, you better be prepared, ok, so long man. I will stay in your head for now, better survive!"

The building collapsed and Lane woke up in that dark abyss again. He felt water under his body, it was the healing pond that had healed his wounds. He noticed that every wound has gone and he felt better.

"Hi, how are you? My name is Buer and I'm your personal assistant."

"How can you be so calmly saying that?"

"Better watch out kid. My dungeon is as dangerous as it can get. Bye-bye."
